Summary
Humankind was trapped underground by monsters thousands of years ago. Humans weren't meant to live underground, their bodies needing the sustenance of the sun. The survivors of humankind are riddled with starvation and disease, with only the rich making it to old age. Children are born with horrifically deformed bodies, and those who survive are forced into work camps.
You have been caring for your sister Sarah since the death of both of your parents. It's been a hard life so far, filled with grief and despair. To support yourself and your little sister, you take a job as a sentry in Snowdin where you meet two skeleton brothers who have fallen into the underground.
