Like many things in their culture, the rule came from the legend of the dragon. The only ones allowed inside the forest were the trained hunters and huntresses, who knew the risk they were taking–if they ever accidentally stole prey from the Blood God’s territory, nothing would be able to save them.
If Tommy had been smart, perhaps he would’ve followed the rule.
But he was hungry and desperate. Besides, the stupid dragon wasn’t even real anyway. Starvation was much more likely to kill him than some made up threat.
So Tommy snuck into the forest for the first time, with no idea that the action would change the course of his life.

He's called to duty by Steve Rodgers when he finds out Manhattan is under attack by an unknown enemy. The Avengers were spread thin, down men and in need of help, and Bucky Barnes was the only backup they had left.
There is no other choice than to join the fight. Unfortunately, Steve Rogers has already assigned him a partner, the one and only Iron Man. To say that Bucky and Tony Stark did not get along was an understatement. Tony wanted Bucky dead, and Bucky, well, he just wanted Tony to leave him alone.
They are forced to set aside their emotions when they are ambushed and the Iron Man suit is destroyed, leaving them in a war zone and cut off from the team. Injured and hunted, they must fight for survival, but sometimes fighting just isn't enough. This is a trap they cannot escape.
Abducted and imprisoned in a desolate cell, what is it that their unknown captors want? More importantly, how the hell were James and Tony going to get out of this?

That was most certainly gratifying. The man glanced down, seeming to realize he was naked. His eyes returned to Warren with a look of renewed horror, he was proving to be terribly dramatic. Warren threw a blanket at him and went to grab his first aid kit.
When he returned Tim had dried himself with the blanket and was now hiding under it as if Warren would not see him. He sighed, grabbing the bundle and depositing it on the couch. The man scrambled to cover himself with the blanket again, his pained expression turning a little reproachful. Warren peeled back the blanket from the wound and held a roll of fabric to the man's mouth grabbing his hands when he tried to shoo him away from the injury.

The room smelt of bitter citrus peels, and the tang of salt. Max's nose crinkles at the scent of distress wafting off of the small figure on the bed.
Charles lay curled slightly on his side, knees drawn in, one arm tucked close to his chest. Too thin. Too still. There was a faint crease between his brows even in sleep, like his body didn’t know how to fully let go anymore. His hair looked limp, his eyes sunken.
