There’s so much authority in Jungkook’s voice that it has Jimin going limp with submission, head lolling back as his eyelashes flutter, his hand pressing down on his aching clit as he tries to regain his rapidly dwindling sensibilities.
But the wine makes him braver. Makes him open his mouth and admit shameless things like, “It is.”

“You can call me sensitive or whatever, but I don’t think I can do this if you’re just going to ignore me for another six months or however long after we say goodbye tonight.” Shane continues, trying to subtly wipe his wet eyes but of course Ilya notices.
“Hollander-” He reaches up to wipe the tears away, but Shane lightly pushes his hand away and shakes his head.
“I guess I’m not cut out for casual.” He whispers. “Because this has never really felt like nothing to me, and I can’t pretend that it is. You aren’t nothing to me.”

They tried to fit in by gossiping but it didn't work out like they had intended. Everybody distanced themselves from Avery and the avoidance eventually turned into pure hatred for them.
However, when they were on a walk one day, these roles were reversed. Avery was being followed, and the thing that stalked them wouldn't turn back without a fight, it offered Avery something they couldn't turn down.
Friendship.
Perhaps they should've been wary, and maybe then everything could've gone smoothly.
