Chapter Text
With Rean, Gaius and Elliot
As the three boys walk through the open doorway and notice that the area looks similar to ruins however stone walls look expertly carved and there appears to be no dust anywhere. “What is this place”? Elliot questions out loud as the three boys keep walking however as they turn a corner they see three flying monsters. These monsters have very feline features but the big difference is the small pair of wings on their backs. “Yikes! Monsters”! Elliot yells as he, Rean and Gaius get into a fighting stance as three small flashes of light appear and then quickly disappear next to each of the boys. Saber stands next to Rean with a smile on her face as she says. “These monsters look weak but… show me what you’ve got Rean”. Rean nods as he rushes towards one of the creature as Gaius turns his head to the side slightly to see a man with dark blue mostly short hair with a long low ponytail with the man wearing a tight blue bodysuit with silver pauldrons and in his hands is a large red spear.
The blue haired man smiles as he looks at Gaius. “Need a hand Master”? The man asks as Gaius shakes his head and replies. “I shall be fine Lancer”. Lancer nods as Gaius moves in to attack the second creature. Meanwhile Elliot looks at the final creature with his breathing increasing and the grip on his weapon tightening almost as if he’s trying to steel himself to fight the creature. A hand then places itself on his shoulder. Elliot looks up and over his shoulder to see a tall man with long flowing golden blond hair and light blue eyes. He is wearing a black blazer like coat with golden trim and ornate green accessories throughout his outfit. “Fear not master, I can hear the beautiful sound of music from your heart. Let your allies and those creatures hear your beautiful melody”. Elliot lets out a deep breath and nods his head as he taps the hilt of his staff on the ground then raises it above his head as the light green orbment at the top of the staff glows slightly and the sounds of soft violins can be heard.
Rean and Gaius easily dodge the creatures attacks and look back slightly at Elliot but then swiftly turn their attention back to the creatures as Gaius manages to pierce the creature before it can reach him however at the same time Rean manages to kill the other two creatures. Saber looks at Rean with a raised eyebrow but says nothing as she walks over to him. “Not bad Rean. A good first impression”. Rean nods his head as he sheathes his sword and replies. “Thank you Saber”. Elliot lowers his staff as the magic that was playing stops as the man from earlier gives a little clap and says. “A beautiful soft melody Master. Though with a little help and a lot more bravery, your music will sound even more beautiful”. Elliot turns around to fully look at the man and say. “Thank you… but, who are you”? Elliot pants a little bit as the adrenaline from earlier starts to wear off as the man replies. “I am your servant… you may call me Caster”. Elliot nods as Rean and Gaius walk over and Rean asks. “Are you okay Elliot”? The ginger haired boy nods again and replies. “Yes I’m fine, this is just my first time actually fighting”. Gaius looks at Elliot confused and asks. “If you’ve never fought before then why did you decide to come to Thors”? Elliot fidgets slightly trying to come up with an answer but before he can answer Gaius, Rean notices Elliot’s discomfort and speaks up. “It’s okay if you don’t want to tell us at the moment. We’ve rested enough, we should get going”.
Elliot and Gaius nod in response as the three boys and their servants follow them with Saber walking next to Rean with her hands behind her head. “You’re pretty good at reading people”. Saber says offhanded as Rean looks at her and replies. “Yeah, ever since I was young I’ve had a good eye for small details”. Saber smiles and chuckles while saying. “You keep becoming more interesting Rean”. As the group keeps walking through the underground area, Elliot subconsciously starts humming a quiet tune as Caster looks down at him with a small smile on his face. The group then turns a corner and see three slime like creatures. “More monsters”?! Elliot exclaims as each of the boys ready their weapons once again as Gaius and Rean run in and swing their weapons at the slime creatures however their weapons pass right through them not harming the slimes at all. The slime creatures lean back and the throw their bodies forward to attack Rean and Gaius who just manage to dodge the oncoming attack. “How do we hurt these things if our weapons don’t harm them”? Rean questions as Elliot looks concerned for the other two boys but then Lancer points to the ARCUS unit that is attached to Gaius’s belt. “What about that thing on your belt Master”? Gaius looks down at his ARCUS unit and then at Rean. “If our weapons don’t work then Arts might do the trick”. Rean nods and says. “You may be right but from what I’ve read it takes time to charge up Arts”. As Rean and Gaius move back to regroup with Elliot as the slime creatures move in to attack again. Saber and Lancer step forward as Saber says. “Well if it takes time for you to cast your Arts as you call them, let us be distractions while you do what you need to do”. “Are you sure”? Rean asks with a slightly concerned tone as Lancer laughs a little and replies. “Of course plus it’ll let us stretch our muscles and show you what we’re capable of”.
A/N: and that concludes this chapter for ya guys. Hopefully ya guys enjoyed, I’m hoping to get chapters done on a more consistent basis from now on but no promises.
