Chapter Text
Shadow, aka Midoriya Izuku, giggles slightly to himself as he's sitting on the edge of a building overlooking an alleyway and watches as Eraserhead and the detective, he thinks his name is Tsukauchi look at the two would be muggers hanging upside down from a clothesline wire with think lines of shadows wrapped around them with exasperated tired and done looks on their faces. He smirks slightly when he sees two cops walk up to the tied-up criminals with a ladder to cut them down and waits for them to get closer before curling a finger on his right hand up as the shadow rope holding the muggers pulls them up slightly away from the cops and then uncurls his finger as the muggers fall towards the ground with muffled screams as they mouths were also covered be shadows. Izuku waits until they're a few inches above the ground before curling his finger again and watching as they have sprung back up, knocking into the cops who were trying to get them down in the first place, laughing as the cops go falling off the ladder, landing on the ground themselves and as both Eraserhead and detective Tsukauchi watch it happen with deadpan expressions.
Shadow was too busy giggling to himself that he had almost, almost, not noticed the capture scarf come flying at him from below, but as a thin shadow whip appeared in front of smacking it away, he pushed himself into a backwards roll off the edge onto the roof of the building and smirks slightly under his hood as Eraserhead swings himself onto the edge where he was just sitting a few seconds ago. "How's it going, Eraser?" Shadow asks as he uses his voice modifier, which he has wrapped around his neck like a choker. Aizawa Shouta, also known as the Underground hero Eraserhead, narrows his eyes at Shadow and sighs slightly as he asks, "Do you need to be such a problem child tonight, kid?" However, Shadow knows that he's slightly amused by the way his eyebrow is raised and the small glint in his eyes as he observes Shadow as he shrugs and giggles a little. "Why not? It's fun. Not to mention entertaining how your guys' faces go from just trying to completely being done watching how they never seemed to learn." Shadow laughs as he dodges backwards as Eraserhead throws his scarf out at him, trying to capture him, and raises his hand slightly as three little black shadow shards appear and flick them lightly at Eraserhead. The shards fly towards Eraserhead, who widens his eyes slightly as they brush past him, but he can feel the slight sting against his shoulder before the shards fade back into the shadows of the night.
Eraserhead stares at Shadow, noticing that while he's wearing his normal outfit, which is a black jacket with the hood up, black skinny jeans, a pair of combat boots, and a pouch around his waist though he notices that he's wearing a watch and what looks like an earpiece in his ear. Eraserhead opens his mouth to say something when Shadow's watch seems to make a beeping noise, which makes them blink as Shadow looks at it before wincing slightly, which has Eraserhead raising an eyebrow at him. Shadow then looks at him with a slight grimace on his face, and Eraserhead narrows his eyes as Shadow says, "Sorry, Eraser, but it seems that we're going to have to cut this a bit short tonight."
"Wh... Wait!" Eraserhead starts to say wide eyes as he watches as the shadows on the ground beneath Shadow seem to move on their own as their raise up and swirl around him, and Shadow gives a smirk and cheeky wave as the shadows around him cover him completely just as Eraserhead's scarf and feathers shoot out at the place he was just standing at, but it was too late was he had disappeared into the shadows. "Damn it." Aizawa said as Hawks landed on the roof a few feet away from him. Aizawa glances at Hawks as he walks over to him and says, "That's too bad, huh?" Aizawa narrows his eyes as he looks at and says, "What are you ever doing here, Hawks? This isn't your normal turf to patrol."
Hawks sighs as he says, "I know, but as I'm sure you know that, not only you but also along with me and a few other pros of been trying to catch him also. Of course, not for as long as you and I have been after him. Not to mention that HSPC is starting to take a personal interest in him." Aizawa frowns as he hears that the HPCS has taken an interest in Shadow, because while it's uncommon and sometimes rare, the HPCS will take a certain interest in a certain vigilante, and that's not always a good thing. "Why?" Aizawa asked, and Hawks shrugged his shoulders. " Apparently, I'm not authorized for that information. I know that from hearing some whispers that the higher-ups have taken an interest in him. "
'Damn it! Why is she coming back so early!?' Izuku thinks to himself as he's jumping from rooftop to rooftop using his shadows as fast as he can, as he rushes home before his so-called mother makes it home. Izuku reaches his apartment and gets inside through his bedroom window just as soon as he hears the apartment door open and close. He gets into his bed and under the covers quickly and closes his eyes as he hears his bedroom door creak open slightly. "Tsk, he's here. At least he's asleep, so I won't have to deal with him." He hears his mother say before closing his bedroom door, and then he hears her walk into her room and close her bedroom door. He opens his eyes and frowns before sighing to himself as he thinks, 'I thought she was supposed to work until 6. Why is she back so soon?" He looks at his clock and sees that it is only one o'clock in the morning and sighs again before rolling over and looking out his window.
'I wonder why she even bothered looking in on me since she hadn't done that since I started middle school. Probably making sure that I haven't gotten myself arrested or something because of my quirk. Even though she would probably be happy if I did, wouldn't she?' He thinks as he closes his eyes and tries to go to sleep, as he knows that tomorrow he's going to have to pretend to be quirkless and have to deal with the bullying all because his mother is a quirkest person and demands that he pretends to be qiurkless so that no one knows that he has a so-called villainous quirk.
