SFW short drabbles

Summary:

Where I post the cute moments in characters.

Chapter 1: Good Morning (Trevor/Jared)

Chapter Text

The blankets shifted between skin, sunlight kissing his shoulder as Trevor sleepily reached over. He ran a hand over Jared’s chest, pulling himself above Jared and planting small kisses roughly around his lips, sweet and slow, his brain slowly turning on.

Trevor felt fingers brush through his hair as Jared woke up from the movement. He felt Jared urge his head a bit higher so Trevor gave one last kiss on the lips before resting their foreheads together.

Trevor’s eyes were still closed, hadn’t once opened the whole time, and they laid there for a second, milking each other's warmth until Trevor finally dared to take a peek. He saw the window cast a striped pattern over Jared’s lips, cheek and nose and Trevor dipped down again to follow the pattern with his own lips.

Chapter 2: Henry/Alex

Summary:

The nights alone when Alex is on a business trip.

Chapter Text

Henry laid on his side, trying to fall asleep. He had tried controlling his breathing, an hour of no screen time, now he was trying to lose his mind within the sounds around him. There were crickets. Fans in the summer night. Something beyond fans, a low empty sound, probably because it was empty and didn’t exist, something that was created deep within his ears to fulfill empty space. His bed was empty. He missed Alex.

But above all those noises, Henry could hear quiet tapping. It was from the room across the hallway, quiet but sharp and paired with the occasional slide of wheels. He missed Alex; the one typing. He wanted to hear his voice behind him, luring him to sleep or when he ran out of words to say, which was rare, and Henry could listen to his breathing. The occasional pecks on the back of his neck. Sometimes Alex drooled on him. That wasn’t nearly as enjoyable, but luckily it was a rare occurrence. Henry missed his love.

Chapter 3: Schedule (Alex/Henry)

Summary:

I joined the Brownstone (rwrb discord server) and I think I'm going to start posting all the 100 word drabbles I do here.

Chapter Text

Alex was new to this café, feeling adventurous when Zahra last-minute moved their weekly meeting to Wednesday. A cup of tea appeared and he looked up from his phone to stare at a stunning blond.

“Good morning—”
“Hi.”

Blue eyes trailed over flushed cheeks.

“I’m Henry. I haven’t seen you before—er, I’m a Tuesday usual.”

“Alex.” Alex cleared his throat at Henry’s raised eyebrows. “I’m trying a new place. It’s great,” He glanced at his lips, “Great place. Ten out of ten.”

Henry smiled, “Well then, Alex, I’m glad.”

Alex sent a hurried text: Let's move every meeting to Wednesday.

Chapter 4: Pink (Alex/Henry)

Chapter Text

Henry knocked at the door, lines under his eyes and subconsciously fiddling with his fingers. Alex welcomed him inside with a peck on the forehead and another on his lips. “Happy anniversary, baby.”

Alex led his blushing boyfriend inside where Henry’s cheeks would match the pink petals, pink bows and pink rosé. Henry melted into the decoration, his expression softening. He looked back at Alex with a soft smile and served his heart over on a pink platter.

They sat across from each other with all of Alex’s homemade culinary comforts and linked hands. “I adore you so much, Hen.”

Chapter 5: I'm Tired (Alex/Henry)

Summary:

can't sleep

Chapter Text

Light dusted Alex’s features, illuminating him different colors with every second. He layed painfully awake on his phone, mindlessly scrolling through instagram on his side of the bed. He was oddly cold, oddly clammy, and altogether much too uncomfortable to go to sleep. He glanced at the time and sighed, his thumb not missing a beat with scrolling. He stopped, set his phone down, and rolled over to his back.

The ceiling looked… dark. His eyes adjusted to the lack of light and he saw the textured paint. He listened to his fan whirr and the AC turn on and blast cold air.

Maybe the blanket wasn’t right. He kicked one off the bed, stuck half of his leg out, and stubbornly laid his head down. His bottom lip pushed into a pout and he pinned down his restless hands under his head, turning back to his side.

The nightstand looked fine. His glasses were folded up on them next to a book he had checked out from the library weeks ago. He really needed to return it. Maybe he should try reading it now though to pass the time. It was boring; maybe it would put him to sleep.

He opened to his bookmark (which barely came after a fourth of the book) and tried to remember what the heck was going on. He couldn’t. Well now it was boring and frustrating. Stupid book.

He heard footsteps in the hallway and he perked up.

“I’m sorry, love.” Oh, Henry was perfect. His voice was already soothing Alex’s unrest. “I’m going to get ready for bed and then be right there.”

Alex would have leapt up and joined him if he hadn’t already relaxed into the mattress and pillows at the sound of his voice. He hummed just so Henry would know he was still awake.

Alex listened to Henry brush his teeth, wash his face, all that good night stuff until he was stepping out of the bathroom in fluffy slippers. Alex waited until Henry got into bed before moving from his drowsy state and languidly flopping half of himself on top of Henry.

“Thank you for staying awake for me, my dear. You didn’t have to.” Henry murmured, getting his hand into Alex’s hair to sooth him with .

“Mm, wasn’t like that.” Alex tried to tell him that he hadn’t been tired at all until he got there, but he didn’t think he fully communicated that. That was okay. He tried to give Henry’s side a little kiss before drifting off.

Chapter 6: Ocean (Trevor (Courage))

Chapter Text

Trevor felt the ocean tonight. Bare feet on sand, muscles straining to stand upright. Eyes forward on endless blue, hands and legs in cold embrace pushing him forwards and backwards and forwards again. He saw water rise above his head and break into a white roar. He took a step forward and dived under.

Chapter 7: Clock (Alex/Henry)

Chapter Text

Alex awoke and checked the time. 8:15.

8:45, slip on shoes.

9:15, hear a café bell ring.

9:20, spill coffee on a fresh shirt.

9:21, meet the man of his dreams.

Chapter 8: Trees (Jay Angst)

Chapter Text

Jay took themselves and their soot-covered shoes into the forest. Twigs crumbled under  their weight, the sun piercing into their eyes. They stopped and rested their palm against charred bark, looking at a black, slim trunk sticking out of the ground. “Are you still here, Dad?”

Chapter 9: Fall (alex/Henry)

Chapter Text

Alex stumbled, his shoe catching on a crack, and he crashed into a chest.

“Oh fuck. Sorry, man” Alex scrambled away. “So sorry—”

He looked into soft blue eyes. “Oh.” Alex’s mouth hung open.

“Are you okay? You seemed quite engrossed in your phone.” His voice was tersely condescending. Alex is not turned on.

“Sorry, um. Really sorry about that.”

“Mhm.” He looked past him. Alex’s brain whirled.

“I’m going to a bar at six.”

“Thats great for you.”

“Its a gay bar. Do you want to go to a gay bar with me?”

Henry stared back at him. “Okay.”

Chapter 10: Jump (Henry character study)

Chapter Text

Henry’s distant mother loves him unconditionally, his best friend adores him, his sister protects him, and his boyfriend loves him more than the world.

Henry doesn’t deserve this. He has too many sins.
So he loves back until there is nothing left.

When no one has time to let him love them, let him apologize for himself, Henry is alone. His comfort novels do nothing to distance him from his guilt. It approaches him, swarms him, overwhelms him.

His mind flees until it teeters on a cliff.
He steels himself and jumps off.

Henry becomes selfish enough to love himself.
