Chapter Text
Hyunjin startled awake at the vibrations of his smartphone. He rubbed his eyes and sat up straighter, his back groaning. He had fallen asleep at his desk once again. He grabbed his phone just as the call ended. Seeing the time, Hyunjin cursed under his breath. His screen showed several messages his friends had sent him over the past thirty minutes. Hyunjin winced and dialled Felix’s number.
“I’m so sorry,” Hyunjin said as soon as his friend picked up. “I fell asleep.”
“While studying, I guess?” Felix clicked his tongue. “Close those damn books and move your ass here.”
Hyunjin smiled. “Yeah, I’ll be there in a bit.”
He quickly changed into a fresh shirt, slipped into a pair of jeans he knew made his ass look fabulous and pulled on his favourite leather jacket. He tied his hair into a ponytail, grabbed his keys, phone and wallet and headed outside. It was an unusually warm evening for Spring, and Hyunjin decided to walk to the bar where they usually met up to unwind after a stressful week of college and work.
On second thought, he probably should have applied a scent blocker. Not that he wasn’t looking for any intimacy tonight. Drinking with his friends and afterwards finding a nice beta or alpha for some fun… That was a perfect night to relax. But Hyunjin already had too many alphas sniffing him out as he walked down the street, some whistling after him or trying to talk him up. Hyunjin was long used to this. Not that he minded as long as they kept their hands to themselves and weren’t too pushy.
He arrived at the bar and weaved through the crowd of people, looking for his friends. The bartender nodded at Hyunjin in acknowledgement. They had been regulars for quite a while already.
“Jinnie!”
Hyunjin turned to find Jeongin waving at him. Next to the beta sat Felix, smiling widely at Hyunjin and nursing a green drink. Hyunjin made his way to their table, greeting some fellow students as he passed them.
“Your ass looks great,” the beta said, oggling said ass not so sublty when Hyunjin pulled out a chair and sat down.
The omega laughed softly. “Thanks, Innie.”
“You look tired,” Felix commented and gave his friend a teasing grin. “College just started a few weeks ago, and you’re already stressed.”
“It’s my last year. I can’t afford to slack off.”
Hyunjin gestured at the waitress passing their table.
“The usual, sweetheart?” she asked, and Hyunjin nodded.
He leaned back into his chair. “Let’s not talk about classes. Anything new with you guys?”
Felix chuckled, rolling his eyes. “We’re around each other all the time. Our group chat is filled with messages every five minutes. I’d be surprised if any of you had anything new to tell.”
“I actually have news,” Jeongin announced, grinning widely at his friends as they both turned to look at him.
“What is it?” Hyunjin asked. He leaned forward to support his elbows on the table, thanking the waitress when she placed his drink in front of him.
“Seungmin got a meeting at Levanter Entertainment for a possible contract.”
Felix’s jaw dropped, and Hyunjin’s eyes widened.
“Seriously?” the younger omega asked. “That’s huge. He definitely deserves it, though.”
“Wow. I’m sure they’ll take him, they’d be dumb not to,” Hyunjin murmured and took a sip of his drink.
His friends nodded in agreement.
“He acts all nonchalant about it, but I can tell he’s super nervous,” Jeongin chuckled.
“I’d throw up,” Felix groaned. “I already get nervous whenever I get sponsored for a stream.”
Hyunjin patted the omega’s shoulder with a soft smile. His eyes drifted over the crowd of people as he nursed his drink. There were a lot of students here tonight. Some were from the classes Hyunjin attended. Others from classes where he helped out professors to earn a bit of extra money.
Since Hyunjin was in his final year and well-liked by his professors, he was asked to become a teaching assistant shortly before the start of the semester. Hyunjin already had a job at a café close to the campus, but a few hours grading papers or assisting during classes didn’t bother him.
Jeongin and Felix kept saying that he was doing too much and often had to force him away from his desk or the art studio.
“You changed your injections recently, right?” Felix asked, watching as Hyunjin let his eyes wander over the bar. “How are the side effects now?”
“Nothing yet,” Hyunjin replied. “No headaches, no mood swings. I hope it stays that way.”
“Just use a condom,” Jeongin said, rolling his eyes.
“No.” Hyunjin shook his head with a lopsided grin. “I mean, if it’s a beta, okay. But when I’m with an alpha, I want to feel that knot. If they insist on extra protection, though, I’m fine with that, of course.”
Felix nodded, chuckling when Jeongin groaned and downed the rest of his drink. “I feel sad for you that you’ll never know the feeling of a good knot, Innie.”
Jeongin pouted. “Ew. Can we stop talking about knots?”
“And I’m also taking the shots since they make my heats easier in the long run. And I get tested after any sexual encounter…” Hyunjin said.
“Well, I’m thankful I don’t have heats or ruts,” Jeongin sighed. “I don’t envy you guys for that.”
Hyunjin shrugged. “I guess with the right partner, they’re nice. But alone…” He grimaced slightly. “I’m not fond of them either.”
Felix sighed softly and leaned his head against Hyunjin’s shoulder.
“I have this guy in my chat, who always gifts subs,” the omega told the others. “Just today he bought another bunch.”
“Is it that… dwaekki or what’s his username?” Jeongin asked. “You’ve mentioned him several times.”
“Yes!” Felix laughed softly. “What is that even, a dwaekki? But he’s super nice.”
“My, he seems to have a crush on you,” Hyunjin chuckled. “He’s probably thrilled anytime you give him attention.”
“Or maybe he just wants to support me and my channel,” Felix said, shrugging.
“Or that, of course. But you sit there, looking all cute omega, with your fairy make-up and long, blond hair and don’t think people will fall for you?”
Felix blushed at Hyunjin’s words, a small smile pulling at his lips. They teased him some more about it, ordered new drinks and talked about their week, even though they mostly already knew about everything. They always spent time together whenever possible. Of course, there were those weeks when Hyunjin and Jeongin had to prepare for exams or their schedules were filled with assignments, but they always tried to make time for each other.
Hyunjin hoped it would always be like that, and they wouldn’t drift apart sooner or later. He had already worried about that when Felix had dropped out of college to become a more serious streamer. They still worked together at the café, but their schedules had changed significantly, so most of the time, they only met in person on weekends or during work, and sometimes not at all when life got busy, forcing them to fall back on video chats and calls.
“Seen anyone you like yet?” Felix asked, wiggling his eyebrows at Hyunjin.
“Nope,” Hyunjin murmured.
“Not that there aren’t enough people interested,” Jeongin laughed. “That guy over there in the booth in the corner has been glancing here several times already. He’s attractive.”
Hyunjin looked at where Jeongin was gesturing. A handsome young man sat alone at a table, drinking whiskey or some other strong liquor. He didn’t look lonely or out of place, but observant and as if he had come to the bar exactly for the purpose of finding some entertainment for the night.
“He might not be looking at me, though,” Hyunjin said.
Jeongin got up from his seat. “I’ll just ask him before you all just oggle at each other for the rest of the night.”
“Innie!” the older omega hissed, his cheeks flushing. “Don’t do that. It’s embarrassing.”
“Let me be your wingman. Or don’t you want to get laid tonight?”
Hyunjin blushed even more. His friends laughed good-naturedly, and the beta left to approach the stranger. He gnawed his lip as he watched Jeongin talk to the man, who smiled friendly at the beta, which made him only more attractive.
“What if he’s interested in you?” Hyunjin asked Felix. “You’re not one for one-night stands, but he’s handsome.”
Felix waved his hand dismissively. “If he agreed on a date first, okay. But yeah, no sex with a stranger for me.”
Hyunjin never had any qualms with tangling in the sheets with a guy he just met. His friends, fortunately, didn’t judge him for that, but they sometimes worried, and Hyunjin always made sure to check in with them when he got back to the dorms. He often messaged them the address of the guy he went with, since he couldn’t take any of them back to campus.
Not that he slept with some guy every week. It had actually been a while since he’d had sex, so Hyunjin was excited that he might get some tonight.
Jeongin returned, a broad grin on his face.
“He’d be very pleased if you joined him for a drink, Hyunjinnie,” he said. “He’s buying, of course.”
Hyunjin blinked at him. “Really?”
“Oh, don’t be so surprised!” the beta laughed. “Now, come on, get your cute butt over to that guy. He seems really nice.”
“But we’re still drinking and talking and—”
Felix squeezed his arm reassuringly. “It’s fine. We see each other all the time. Who knows, maybe it’ll become more than a one-time thing?” He winked at Hyunjin.
The omega sighed softly. Felix was a romantic. And so was he, which didn’t keep him from having some fun, though. He had learned it the hard way before. Trying to make more out of a fling, only to be laughed at in his face and be told that he got clingy too fast.
Hyunjin got up, smoothed down his shirt and asked, “How do I look?”
“You look good,” Felix replied. “Now go, before someone else notices him and catches him first.”
Hyunjin grinned, grabbed his drink and made his way to the handsome stranger, who was already looking at him with a lazy smile. Hyunjin’s heart started to pound faster. He often looked confident, but moments like these made him nervous nonetheless.
He fixed his ponytail and licked his lips, offering the alpha a sweet smile.
“Hey, is it okay if I sit down?”
The man blinked at him. He looked taken aback for a moment, even though he had definitely known that Hyunjin had come over for him. Hyunjin’s smile widened.
“Sure, of course, yes, please,” the alpha said and shifted in the booth to give Hyunjin some space.
The omega sat down gracefully and put his glass on the table. “I’m Hyunjin.”
“Chan. Hi. Nice to meet you.”
Hyunjin had to suppress a grin. Chan was definitely more nervous than he was.
“I, uhm, haven’t done this in quite some time,” Chan admitted with a chuckle.
Hyunjin tilted his head, his smile softening. “You’re doing well, no worries.”
The alpha smelled good. Black cherries. Hyunjin swiped his tongue over his bottom lip. Chan’s eyes followed the movement, his own lips parting slightly.
“You’re even prettier up close,” the alpha blurted out. “Do you want another drink, maybe?”
Hyunjin moved a bit closer, inhaling Chan’s scent. He released a shaky breath. His omega purred.
“Do you want to get me drunk?” Hyunjin teased.
“No,” Chan immediately denied, shaking his head. “I would never do that.”
And for some reason, Hyunjin believed him. He didn’t always walk into bad alphas, but he had his fair share of experiences that he’d rather forget about. Having men buy him a drink one after the other and coaxing him into drinking only to try and make him lose his inhibitions was one of them.
“But I won’t say no to a nice iced tea,” Hyunjin said. “Lemon with mint.”
Chan nodded and called out to the waiter nearby, ordering said tea for the omega. Hyunjin thought it was quite endearing how eager Chan was to please him.
“How come you’re here all alone, Chan?” Hyunjin asked.
He rested his elbow on the back of the booth and supported his head against his knuckles, gazing at the alpha with a soft smile.
Chan raised one shoulder in a shrug. “I needed a night out.” His eyes trailed over Hyunjin’s face and body. “And hopefully find someone nice to spend it with.”
The alpha reached out and tugged a strand of hair behind Hyunjin’s ear. Hyunjin felt goosebumps rise where the tips of Chan’s fingers graced his skin. He bit into his lip, and the alpha’s eyes immediately darted to it again.
“I hope I’ll live up to your expectations then,” Hyunjin murmured.
The iced tea was placed on their table, but neither of them paid it any attention. Chan trailed a finger over the hand resting in Hyunjin’s lap. A pleasant shiver ran down the omega’s spine. Maybe it had been too long after all since the last time he had sex, that every touch and gaze of the alpha made him feel hazy.
Chan glanced over Hyunjin’s shoulder. He let out a soft chuckle.
“Your friends are watching us.”
Hyunjin rolled his eyes with a grin. “Of course they are. They’re quite protective of me.” He leaned in a bit closer. “You better take good care of me.”
The hand that had been slowly trailing up and down Hyunjin’s thigh tightened slightly. The alpha’s eyes glowed for a moment.
“Oh, I intend to…”
Hyunjin felt his cheeks blush. Chan looked older. Maybe he was already in his thirties. He liked more experienced men, and he had a feeling Chan was just that. But he still seemed a bit nervous, and Hyunjin wanted him to relax and feel comfortable with him.
“So, Chan. What do you do?”
Chan blinked. “I mostly sit behind a desk all day, sign stuff here and there and attend meetings.”
“Sounds boring.”
The alpha chuckled. “What about you?”
“I’m a student. I study interior design.”
Chan cocked an eyebrow. “Really? That doesn’t sound boring at all.”
Hyunjin grinned. “I love it even though it’s stressful sometimes.”
They gazed at each other, their smiles soft and gentle. Chan’s eyes darted more than once to the omega’s plump lips. Hyunjin’s heart skipped a beat.
They both knew why they were here, why they had sought each other out. But Hyunjin was still a bit surprised when Chan closed the distance between them and kissed him, not forcefully but eagerly enough to show Hyunjin he wanted it as much as he did.
The alpha had seemed a bit shy at first. But he definitely knew what he was doing.
Chan nudged his tongue between Hyunjin’s lips, and the omega parted his mouth to let him in deeper.
Kissing Chan made him feel a little drunk.
“You taste good,” Chan murmured.
“Cranberry vodka.”
The alpha chuckled. “Really?”
He kissed him again, and Hyunjin sighed into his mouth with contentment.
“We–We can’t go to my place,” Hyunjin murmured against Chan’s lips. “I live on campus… They don’t allow overnight guests… I could get in trouble…”
Chan kissed him once more, softer this time. He tilted his head, eyes trailing over Hyunjin’s face. He bit into his bottom lip and then said, “Alright. I wouldn’t want you to get into any trouble… We’ll go to my place. It’s not too far.”
He grasped the back of Hyunjin’s head and pulled him into another needy and deeper kiss. Fingers tangled into his silky hair, holding him in place with a hint of dominance that made Hyunjin’s toes curl. Chan caught the omega’s lower lip between his teeth, pulling slightly at it before letting go. He pushed his thumb against the plump, rosy flesh, a low growl rumbling from his throat.
“Want to go?” he whispered, and Hyunjin nodded eagerly.
He was sure that one damn kiss already made him slick.
Chan quickly paid for their drinks. Hyunjin felt a little bad for not even having touched his iced tea. But then the alpha gently took his hand and interlaced their fingers, pulled him out of the booth and towards the entrance, and Hyunjin didn’t waste another thought on it. Hyunjin looked over his shoulder. He saw Felix and Jeongin waving at him, and he quickly waved back with a grin.
“I’ll text you,” he mouthed, and Felix gave him an OK sign.
Hyunjin wasn’t even tipsy yet, and still he felt a bit lightheaded when Chan eagerly led him down the street, pressed him against a wall one, two times to kiss him silly and again when they had to wait at a traffic light.
Hyunjin knew this area. But he rarely came here. This was for the rich and famous, and for the tourists, who loved to take pictures of luxury shops and entertainment studios. His eyes widened as Chan guided him to a building that reached far up into the sky, his hand resting on the small of Hyunjin’s back. The alpha greeted the concierge, who was standing at a desk in the lobby, as they entered and proceeded to the elevators.
A damn lobby.
The place looked more like the entrance of a five-star hotel than an apartment building. The marble floors were so polished that they reflected the lights above. Columns rose toward the high ceiling, each decorated with golden, swirling patterns. Fresh white flowers sat in minimalist vases on narrow tables lining the walls. Everything smelled like… money.
Hyunjin couldn’t stop his jaw from dropping.
The concierge manning the desk gave Hyunjin a polite smile and a curious look that made the omega step a little closer to Chan.
Chan grinned as he gently pushed Hyunjin into the elevator as it arrived.
“Have you seen that lobby?!”
Chan laughed softly. “Once or twice,” he teased as he tapped a key card on a panel, then pushed the top button, and the doors of the elevator closed.
Hyunjin turned to look out of the glass elevator. His lips were still parted as he watched the world below them turning smaller and smaller. Another ding made him jump slightly.
A penthouse. Chan lived in a fucking penthouse. What the hell was this man’s job?
Double doors led straight into the apartment. The penthouse was massive, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a view of the glittering skyline. They stepped into what seemed to be an open-concept living room with furniture that looked both expensive and perfectly lived-in.
“Do you need a tour or…?” Chan chuckled.
Hyunjin blinked. He shook his head and looked at the alpha. “No. Sorry. I just… Wow. I’ve never seen a place like this before.”
Chan wrapped an arm around Hyunjin’s waist and kissed his jaw. The omega released a shaky breath. Right. They were here for sex. Not for Hyunjin to drool all over Chan’s penthouse. Penthouse . The others would never believe him.
The alpha took his hand once more. They crossed the vast space, Hyunjin looking back and forth to take in his surroundings and feeling a little dizzy, and walked down a hallway. The alpha only switched on a light here and there, but most of the place was still shrouded in darkness, only lit by the few lights that reached up to the top floor from the city beneath their feet.
He thought he saw several pictures decorating the walls along their way, but he couldn’t really make out the faces, and it wasn’t his business anyway. There were some other scents in the air as well that didn’t belong to the alpha. Sweet pomegranate… Soft, fresh linens…
Chan pushed open one of the many doors, revealing a bedroom behind it. It didn’t look like anyone had slept here in a while, though. It was clean and beautiful, of course, but it didn’t have a personal touch. And the alpha’s scent wasn’t as prominent here either. It was probably the guest bedroom. Not that Hyunjin minded, but he would have loved to see where the alpha usually slept. He wondered what the room looked like and whether it had glass windows, like the living room, instead of walls.
Having sex against one of these windows with the city below them… Hyunjin wouldn’t say no to that.
“Hey, still with me?” Chan asked. “I feel like you’re more into the building than into me,” he joked, and Hyunjin let out a soft laugh.
“Just… surprised, I guess.”
“Of course. I get it.”
Hyunjin let go of Chan’s hand and crossed the distance to the bed. He sat down on its edge, leaned back on his hands, and looked up at the alpha with a lopsided smile, some strands of hair falling over his face as he tilted his head and loosened the tie that kept his hair together.
“I think you wanted to… take good care of me, right?”
Chan visibly swallowed. In two quick strides, he was above Hyunjin and pushed the omega fully onto the bed. The omega sank into the incredibly soft blanket. Hyunjin imagined sleeping here would be extremely relaxing.
As soon as the alpha latched his mouth on Hyunjin’s jaw, sucking and licking its sensitive skin, every other thought about the penthouse vanished from Hyunjin’s mind.
Hyunjin moaned softly and reached up to tangle a hand into Chan’s hair. The way Chan’s lips and tongue moved over his neck and collarbone made the omega wreathe and gasp beneath him. He felt slick gathering between his cheeks, and he was sure Chan could easily push into him in one swift thrust already if he wanted.
They shared open-mouthed kisses, clawed at each other’s clothes and soon were both bare, the room smelling strongly of black cherries, peaches and soft vanilla. Chan’s fingers travelled along Hyunjin’s abdomen and down between his thighs, searching for his entrance. He gasped as he felt all the slick covering Hyunjin’s skin.
“So wet,” he marvelled, as if he hadn’t been with an omega in a long time, and slipped a finger inside Hyunjin.
The omega gasped loudly, his back arching off the bed. Chan’s eyes glowed in the dark, a soft, pulsing glow that showed how much the alpha craved him. Hyunjin’s breath quickened at the sight, his chest heaved, putting his perky nipples even more on display. Chan took one of them into his mouth as he fingered Hyunjin.
“Fuck, Chan,” Hyunjin breathed. “Add another one…”
Chan growled lowly and did as the omega wished. He thrust his fingers a bit faster into him, stretching him as well, even though Hyunjin was sure he didn’t need it. But it was good to know that Chan wanted him properly prepared. Wanted to make sure he wouldn’t be in pain. Hyunjin’s heart fluttered.
Noticing how Hyunjin’s nipples were extra sensitive and made him gasp and moan louder, Chan continued paying more attention to the perky nubs, alternating between sucking and licking them. His throbbing length pressed against Hyunjin’s thigh, and he could feel that the alpha was bigger than most he had been with. He slid a hand between their bodies to brush along the cock. Chan sucked in a sharp breath and rested his forehead against Hyunjin’s collarbone for a moment as the omega began stroking him.
It was a good girth, nothing that would make him feel like being painfully split wide open, but big enough to feel it for a while.
“I need to get inside you,” Chan said with a raspy voice.
He reached for the drawer of the nightstand, rummaged around in it for a while until he finally pulled out a bottle of lube and a pack of condoms. Hyunjin nibbled his bottom lip, wishing he could just ask Chan not to use one. He would love to feel the alpha’s knot tying them together, and even special condoms for knotting didn’t feel as good as without any barriers and preventing them from locking together.
He kept his mouth shut, though. Some alphas just asked him if he wanted it raw or to use protection. Since Chan apparently preferred a condom, Hyunjin would respect that.
The alpha pulled the condom over his throbbing cock and slicked it up with some lube, moaning at the touch as he stroked himself a few times. His eyes trailed over Hyunjin’s half-lidded gaze, his flushed torso, his glistening, hard nipples and cock. Chan’s chest rumbled with deep growls. He licked his lips, his eyes darkened even more with lust.
“Hurry up,” Hyunjin whined.
He couldn’t wait any longer. His slick hole pulsed with need, and seeing the handsome alpha above him only made him want it even more.
Chan grinned and kissed him again, grasping Hyunjin’s wrist to wrap around his hard length and guide it to the omega’s entrance. Chan groaned as he felt the slick coating his cock and nudged the head into the opening.
“Yes,” Hyunjin gasped. “More…”
Chan watched as his cock stretched Hyunjin further the more he pushed into him. His lips parted as he observed his length disappear into the entrance.
“Fuck,” Chan whispered. “You feel so good…”
He started to thrust into the omega slowly. Hyunjin gasped with each brush of Chan’s cock in and out of him. The alpha laced their fingers together and kissed Hyunjin, deep and hungrily. He kept whispering to Hyunjin, asking him if he was okay, if he was going too fast, if he wanted it slower or harder.
Hyunjin’s moans soon turned louder as Chan sped up, circling his hips against the omega. He grabbed Hyunjin’s leg and pulled it over his shoulder while the other wrapped around his waist. Chan went deeper, his low groans music to Hyunjin’s ears. He liked it when his partner was vocal in bed as well. He wanted to hear his enjoyment and desire while they had sex.
Chan made sure to leave some hickeys over Hyunjin’s neck and bitemarks on his chest. Hyunjin arched his back off the sheets each time Chan’s cock rubbed against his sensitive bundle of nerves and urged him to go harder. The alpha complied with enthusiasm.
“This okay?” Chan gasped, hips snapping against Hyunjin.
Their shared moans, gasps and the slapping of skin filled the room, and their mixed scents of peaches and cherries intensified the closer they got to their climaxes.
“Yes,” Hyunjin replied. He swallowed, his throat feeling drier the more he moaned. “Y-You can go harder…”
“Fuck,” Chan swore and drove deeper into Hyunjin.
He buried his face in the crook of the omega’s neck, and for a split moment, Hyunjin wondered what it would feel like if Chan’s canines pierced his skin deep enough so it would take and claim him while he orgasmed.
The thought brought him over the edge along with Chan angling his cock just so to hit his spot right on several times. Hyunjin came with a loud cry, and Chan cursed again. The omega felt Chan’s knot swell inside of him, and Hyunjin’s eyes widened. He threw his head back into the pillows, his mouth opened in another pleasured shout as it fully expanded.
Chan froze, and Hyunjin did as well, as he felt the knot actually locking them together.
“Shit,” Chan cursed, panting. “The condom… Damn. Did it rip? Are you okay, Hyunjin?”
“I’m good,” Hyunjin nodded. “I guess it did…” He shifted a bit and winced. “Yeah, you definitely knotted me… It’s fine… I got my shots a few weeks ago. We’re okay. It’s not your fault.”
Chan closed his eyes for a moment. He moaned softly as his knot pumped more seed into Hyunjin. Even if he wanted to pull out, he couldn’t. It would be way too painful for both of them.
He exhaled a soft sigh. “Okay… Good. Shit. I didn’t expect that…”
He wrapped his arms around Hyunjin and shifted them to lie on their sides since the knot would keep them together for a while longer.
“Me neither… But I love feeling a knot inside of me,” Hyunjin admitted, smiling almost shyly at the alpha. “That… pulsating feeling… It’s nice after coming.”
Chan chuckled, although he still looked a bit worried. “Yeah? Omega likes knots? Loves to get a little knot-drunk?”
Hyunjin giggled. “Yeah, I guess…” He blinked slowly at the alpha. “Thank you for this…”
Chan took Hyunjin’s hand and kissed his knuckles with a soft smile.
They went at it again after they shared more kisses and their hands began wandering over the sweat-glistening bodies once more. They used another condom and Chan looked over it several times before pulling it over his cock.
Hyunjin rode him slowly first, setting his own pace while fixing his eyes on Chan’s face and drinking in all his expressions and sounds.
Afterwards, Chan put Hyunjin on his hands and knees and pounded into him. The bed began to creak loudly, and Hyunjin laughed breathily, which only spurred the alpha on to go harder. Before he came, he manoeuvred Hyunjin to lay down on his side and thrust into him more slowly from behind, dragging his cock against the omega’s tight walls until their climaxes washed over them.
Hyunjin released a loud sigh as he felt Chan’s knot grow bigger inside of him, but the alpha pulled out before it could expand entirely, making Hyunjin whine in slight disappointment. The alpha chuckled and quickly gathered Hyunjin back into his arms to pepper kisses over his neck and collarbone.
“How are you feeling?”
“I feel great… Thank you for tonight.”
Chan gave him a warm smile. “I enjoyed it, too.” He planted another kiss on Hyunjin’s shoulder. “Rest now… You look like you need it,” he added with a teasing grin.
Hyunjin drifted off soon after. He felt Chan’s arms around him during the night, but when he woke in the morning, the omega cursed to himself. He usually didn’t spend the night at his one-night stand.
But maybe… Maybe Chan could become more than that. They had a good time together after all. He was a sweet alpha who had made sure that Hyunjin felt comfortable and safe at all times, even when Hyunjin had asked him to go harder.
Hyunjin turned, noticing that Chan wasn’t there anymore. The spot next to him was still warm, so he hadn’t been gone for long. He heard water running somewhere in the penthouse. He wondered what kind of shower Chan had. Was it a walk-in shower? One of these fancy waterfall thingies?
Hyunjin looked down on himself. Chan must have cleaned him while the omega had been asleep. A soft smile tugged at Hyunjin’s lips.
He got out of bed and grabbed his clothes. He didn’t want to impose on Chan longer than necessary, even though he itched to get a closer look at the place.
The sound of the water stopped, and only moments after, Chan’s footsteps came closer. The alpha opened the door, glancing inside, and his smile widened when he saw that Hyunjin was already up.
“Hey, slept well?”
Hyunjin nodded as he bent down, tying his shoes. “Yes. I slept very well.”
Chan was already wearing a pair of sweatpants, but no shirt, and Hyunjin made sure to look at his fabulous abs a bit longer before he had to go.
The front doors opened, and Chan whirled around. He stepped out of the room, and Hyunjin heard a new voice calling out for the alpha. Hyunjin glanced around the corner of the doorway, trying to see who the newcomer was.
Another handsome alpha with cat-like eyes and shiny black hair. The sweet pomegranate scent belonged to him, Hyunjin realised. For some reason, Hyunjin thought he had a somewhat intimidating aura, but that serious face lit up as soon as those intense eyes landed on Chan.
“Chan? Did you sleep in the guest room? Why are you–”
The alpha stopped as Hyunjin appeared fully behind Chan. He blinked slowly, looking back and forth between Chan and Hyunjin, until a smirk pulled at his lips.
“Oh. I see. I knew I smelled a new scent.”
Chan pulled his shirt over his head and cupped the alpha’s face, offering him a soft smile and leaned in for a kiss.
A kiss. Chan was kissing the alpha.
“Minho,” Chan said. “I thought you’d be back in the afternoon.”
Minho grinned at him. “Got an earlier train.”
Hyunjin stared at them with parted lips. He blinked and took a hesitant step away from the alphas.
Chan turned, clearing his throat and scratching the back of his neck. “Uhm, Hyunjin. This is Minho, my husband.”
Hyunjin’s breath hitched. He opened his mouth, but no sound came out. He had slept with a married guy. Although he hadn’t known, he probably should have asked Chan first if he had a mate or a partner. He probably would do that from now on. A charming guy like Chan—Hyunjin should have known better.
He felt so stupid. Humiliated. Of course, another failure. He had raised his hopes way too soon again.
“You’re married…?”
Minho looked from Hyunjin back to Chan. “You didn’t tell the pretty omega that you’re married?” He clicked his tongue, shaking his head at his husband.
Hyunjin watched, confused, embarrassed, and horrified. His peach scent must have shown his distress, and both alphas’ smiles slowly faded.
“I’m so sorry, Hyunjin. I should have told you right away,” Chan apologised. “Minho and I… We have an arrangement.”
“An… open relationship?” Hyunjin muttered.
“Not really,” the other alpha, Minho, said. “If Chan or I see someone we like, we can spend the night with them. One night. Just sex. No strings attached. But apart from that, we’re committed to each other exclusively.”
Hyunjin took another step back, eyeing them all warily and still somewhat confused. This wasn’t right. It didn’t feel right. No matter what arrangement these two men had. Chan should have told him, not leaving Hyunjin off guard and dumbfounded.
“I think we made him really uncomfortable,” Minho said, frowning slightly.
“I’m really sorry,” Chan repeated. “I was nervous and didn’t think. And then I worried about how you might react, and… I didn’t expect you to cross paths with my husband. Since this was a one-time thing…,” he trailed off.
Hyunjin swallowed hard. He ran a hand through his messy hair, shaking his head. “Right. I should go.”
He checked his pockets, ensuring he had his phone and wallet with him. He forced a slight smile on his face and rushed past the alphas, avoiding making any eye contact.
“Hyunjin,” Chan called after him. “I’m really sorry. I messed up. I had a good time with you, I promise. Thank you again.”
Hyunjin turned, looking back at the alpha. “Yeah, me, too. You should have told me right away, though. But it doesn’t matter since we won’t see each other again anyway.” He glanced at Minho briefly and back at Chan. “Have a good day.”
He couldn’t get out of the building and out of their lives fast enough.
