Chapter Text
...It had been the first 2 weeks of taking care of the three, all the admins took turns on taking care of the trio during an organized schedule. Now... Let's guess who's at the absolute bottom of taking care of the children!
Telamon.
...Clockwork is a very close second.
But fortunately enough, the children have behaved well! They all were unique in their own ways yet always listened to commands, though 1x a tad bit stubborn... Probably an attitude passed down by Telamon... Out of the three, Jane was the most outstanding in the tasks that have been given to them. Of course it was easy tasks, they were still in mental mindsets of what a child would think. Due to Jane being extroverted, it's what made her perform so well. Not that John and 1x perform well too, they do! They're just not as extroverted as Jane is.
John for the most part has been learning to get used to understanding social cues, and to overcome shyness a bit. He was still shy to the admins except Builderman, but nevertheless, he performed well and did a great job at what tasks were assigned to him.
And for 1x1, Telamon's horrendous behaviour for performing tasks have been rubbing off on the child which is why Telamon has been off duty for taking care of 1x1. Telamon was well... Way too harsh. It's too much for a child to understand, so Erik decided to take 1x1 under his wing for a bit, resulting in 1x1 getting a tad bit closer to Jane.
It was a relief to Erik and Builderman that the other admins were taking the whole robotic children thing well! And additionally, the trio of children even got along with eachother basing off of how they interacted with eachother during Trio Tasks and or during Break Time and Nap Time... Nap Time was just them charging up for tomorrow's activities. Despite that they still moved whilst charging, it was honestly fascinating to see Test Robots act like actual children.
Builderman sighed at the train that ran in his mind full of thoughts of the now founded children of the HQ, currently... Cooking up a Gas Filled Ink Pancake for the kids. Not made for humans, obviously. It's for the robotic kids. They didn't find drinking straight from the gas tank appetizing so Builderman had to find a way to make them eat the needed nutrients for a robot... This will work. 100%.
Whilst Builderman was cooking up the food for the Robotic Kids, Reese was playing with the kids on the empty area of the main HQ, Jane was being carried by John on his shoulders, and 1x1 was on Janes shoulders, dangerous, yes, but Reese made sure the three didn't fall and scratch themselves, John somehow managing to move whilst the two were stacked on top of him, Jane giggling happily while 1x1 had a soft smile on their face, happily chuckling along.
Reese carefully set 1x1 and Jane down, sitting them onto the soft carpet floor as John sat down next to 1x1, Janes head immediately turning to look at the commotion of Doombringer chasing Taph, having a confused expression as Reese immediately turned Janes head back.
“Dont mind them. This is a usual afternoon for us.”
Reese explained, rubbing it off as nothing before turning to go yell at the two about setting a bad example for the children or whatever, Jane whistled before turning to John and 1x1 with a look full of mischief.
“Lets go mess with the elevator buttons!”
Jane suggested, John looked curious, 1x1 looked skeptical.
“Wont they get mad at us?”
1x1 asked, looking a bit worried as Jane immediately began standing up, dusting off the speckles of dirt her skirt had accumulated.
“They won't get mad at us if we played it sneaky!”
“I feel like your sentence is wrong.”
1x1 pointed out, raising an eyebrow as Jane rubbed it off, lightly smacking 1x1s forehead.
“Pshh.. Who cares about sentences and shmentences? What matters is we can go play in the elevator while Ms. Reese is still distracted!”
Jane immediately said, pulling 1x1 and John up, dragging them to the elevators of the HQ, the trios socks making no sound on the tiles of the place, one by one going into the luxurious and large elevator. Well, it was certainly larger than normal elevators.
As Reese finished scolding Taph and Doombringer, she immediately panicked seeing the three kids somehow managed to disappear in what? 5 minutes? 3 minutes? Doesn't matter, how do they manage to immediately run off whenever Reese turns around for a few seconds!?
Hearing the commotion from Reese letting out a small yell, Builderman went to check on the other.
“What are yer' yellin' about?”
Builderman asked from the kitchen, not bothering to look over to the problem Reese had.
“ERr.... Nothing! Nothing! Just a small spider, nothing I can't handle of course!”
Reese replied whilst dashing to multiple places on where the trio could be, the soul inside her body had already evaporated realizing the trio of children were nowhere in the floor they were on, immediately rushing to check the emergency exit stairs and rushing to the elevator, smashing the buttons to hurry up and get to the floor she was on.
Meanwhile...
“Lets go to the top floor? Or should we go to the lobby? What about the basement?”
Jane kept suggesting whilst clicking random buttons in the elevator, 1x1 unfortunately falling for the propaganda and going along with what Jane said. Now John was the concerned one.
“Uhm... I don't.. Think this is a good idea anymore...”
John tried to stop the two but failed to do so, 1x1 giving a blank look whilst Jane was more fascinated with the glow of each button when pressed.
“Meh. This is better than the plain old cubicles. I don't care anymore.”
1x1 simply stated, continuously pressing the Lobby button as John struggled to reason with the other two.
“You're acting just like Mr. Telamon, 1x... And Jane! I thought Mr. Cassel taught you not to use things you don't know the purpose for!”
John replied, holding both 1x1 and Janes hands, trying to pull them away from the buttons with no luck.
“Meh. Mr. Telamon is a bad example for me anyways.”
“Papa Erik said I'm free to have fun!”
Jane and 1x1 replied in unison, at this point the elevator shaft was delaying and probably having a seizure from the amount of buttons being pressed. Obviously the machinery can't handle being overused... In the wrong way.
“Come on! Stop it!”
John grabbed the back of both Jane and 1x1s knitted sweaters, pulling them back as the three tumbled downwards, Jane letting out a small oof sound, John yelping, and 1x1 grunting, the three felt the elevator shaft suddenly stopping, Jane letting out a small uh oh and John immediately panicking, scrambling to stand up and clicking the floor to where they originally were to see it wasn't working.
“We're stuck! Where's the emergency button!? I told you two not to mess with the buttons!”
John panicked, shaking Jane and 1x1 together as they looked completely fine with it as if they weren't stuck in the elevator shaft and could probably die.
“Urgh, John—John! Shut up for one second! We'll be fine! Just press the emergency button, geez.”
1x1 groaned, stopping the other from shaking them both, pointing to the multiple buttons.
“Which ones the emergency button?”
Jane innocently asked.
...
..
.
“I HAATEE YOOOU TWWOOO!!!!!!”
John yelled with tears probably forming in his robotic eyes. How would that even work? Ink? Gas? Whatever.

‘Shit, shit shit shit shit SHIT.’ Reese thought in her head, desperately clicking the button of the elevator. ‘Is the elevator stuck!? Oh lord Telamon, HELP ME! Does that mean the kids messed with the buttons!? DO THEY EVEN KNOW WHAT BUTTON WAS THE EMERGENCY ONE!?’ Reese was about to kill herself mentally, emotionally, physically, every single word in the book!
“Reese, Dude you look mentally ill.”
Clockwork spoke with concern, raising an eyebrow as he approached the kneeling unicorn hybrid who seemed to be leaning on the elevator doors as if she was defeated in a video game battle.
“The kids are stuck in the elevator.”
Reese said, lightly knocking on the door of the elevator as if every single hope or affection had completely seeped out of her.
“Oh... Well, your problem not mine!”
Clockwork immediately said, turning to run off but before he could Reese had grabbed his hand.
“Don't you fucking DARE leave me here. You've came to butt in, so now you need to suffer WITH ME.”
Reese said, gripping her whole life onto Clockworks hand tightly, she could probably break the bones in his hands if she was ordered to.
Clockwork gulped, this was going to be a long day. No?
