Nico and Will's relationship took off after their trip to Tartarus and back.
Did it traumatize Will ?
yes.
But at least Nico didn't have to go through that horrible cold place of darkness by himself despite being the literal ghost king Will refused to let his boyfriend fight all those monsters by himself.
Was Will significantly weaker than Nico ?
Pretty much.
Useless ?
Compared to Nico definitely.
While 2-3 years had passed making them both older Will being 17 about to be 18 while Nico just turned 17.
Both parties seem to strive and thrive, Will assists at hospitals which are in the big city however his sole home is still half blood camp despite Nico insisting they both get an apartment. Will was not ready to let camp go just yet.
Nico on the other hand started showing more emotions and started opening more about his past to Will and his friends : Jason,Piper,Reynah,Leo,Frank,Percy and his sister Hazel. Nico had been smiling more than he ever did over the past two years.
Nico had even gotten a growth spurt finally which made him taller than Will who was 5 '8 Nico made it to 5 ‘6 to the least still shorter than Will but not as short as he was before.
The friend group was introduced to Will a long time ago. Everyone knew Will at camp as the healer or head of the Apollo cabin but never really personally.
The group treated Nico as their younger sibling, someone meant to be protected literally as he was younger than most of them except hazel were older than him. So at first of course they were suspicious of Will making sure that he wasn't really a bad person and good enough for Nico.
Despite Nicos threats for them to back the fuck up all of them refused, he eventually gave up but warned them not to freak Will or anything related to scaring Will.
They learned with time and one on one conversations with the blonde headed ray of sunshine that he was a sweet cinnamon roll and there was nothing to worry about.
Nico and Will were an adorable couple and there was nothing to fear, nothing to fear right ?

“No,no,no these are all signs of pregnancy!” Will screeched as he ran his fingers through his ruffled blonde wavy hair, he was at a public restroom; it had been bad enough that he had missed his period last month. He had just assumed that it was the amount of stress that he had put on last month over his medical degree.
Will had thrown up for the-gods he doesn't even know anymore how many times he's thrown up this week but the vomiting wasn't this bad as he remembers.
Nico assumed it was a bad stomach and picked up some pepto-mizmo in the middle of the night at the start of the week when this all started.
When Will woke up vomiting all night and couldn't stop Nico stayed with Will that whole night despite having a quest early in the morning.
Nico helped him through that night.
He remembers like it was yesterday and it was so fucking anonoying why did he have to burden his boyfriend like that ?!
But now he had bigger problems than his medical degree or being a useless boyfriend who only burdens his lover.
“What do I do ?” Will’s sitting on the bathroom floor, hands covering his face, knees drawn up to hug his head -ew it was disgusting lying down on the bathroom floor but he kinda has a crisis going on.
A stranger walked in looking at Will like he was a ghost for a moment then that look being replaced with sympathy.
Right. Even a stranger looked at him with pity. That's how useless he was.
“Ok,first of all I'm not sure if I'm pregnant so a test-yeah- i might not be pregnant!” Will shot up from the floor determined as ever.
A spark in him lit!
Will ran to the nearest drug store which was quite a lot being 4 blocks away from the current location he was in.
The sunshine boy finally made it to the nearest drug store on his bent knees, attempting to catch his breath from who knows how long he had ran.(he wasn't good at math)
Sweat prickling from his forehead as he entered the drug store, The blonde looked up, his eyes wandering from sign to sign to see the aisle numbers and its contents.
“Babies/pregnancy” was to his hard right he swiftly walked to the aisle attempting to not waste any time he didn't want Nico questioning why he had come to camp late.
The boy looked around for a test as he scoped for what he was looking for scanning every little detail from the words to the images of products, he saw items for babies like ; diapers and milk bottles would he need that soon ?!
Will brushed the thought off as he reached the pregnancy area and it was the first thing he found as he found himself practically snatching the thing off the shelf knocking the products around it.
“Shit-” He instantly started picking up everything he had dropped, however one thing caught his eye as he read the label “pregnancy sickness’s helping hand,softens pregnancy sickness”.
He read everything on the bottle after deciding he was also going to buy that,maybe then he wouldn't be a burden to Nico or worry his siblings.
Maybe all of this would just go away.
Just maybe.
Quickly attempting to make his way to the cash register and make a fast purchase.
Wills eyes went wide, his entire body froze as he stopped in his tracks as he exited the aisle, he saw far down someone at the pharmacy area. It was Jason, he wasn't that far down from him either
it was far enough where he could see Will’s face.
The blonde sunshine boy rapidly hid the pregnancy test and pills he had chosen from the specific aisle behind his back.
“If you made it quick he wont see you dumass.” Will reminded himself walking swiftly again towards the check-out area.
Hunching the products to his chest as if someone was going to snatch them from his grip or if they were some kind of gold, he was keeping his head low.
Will’s blonde hair, if you didn't notice, was one of the most recognizable things about him.
Thank the gods for modern day self-check outs to make the process 10x faster. His hands were sweating from the endless possibilities of what would happen if Jason had caught him.
With sweaty hands he scans the two items putting them into the bag faster than he has done any normal task either than saving someone's life he's never had to do something that fast.
Due to his sweaty hands his card slips
“Fuck me!” said loud enough for everyone in the area to hear, Will bent down to pick his card up but before he could tap it
“Im pretty sure Nico does that enough for you!” a familiar voice laughed out loud giggling
“Shit.” Will didn't need to look to see who was behind him cause he knew already, it was Percy.
“Hey-yaa percy watcha doing here.” Will nervously scratches the back of his head desperately trying to cover the screen behind him with it.
“Oh im-here with Jason cause Piper and Annebeth are on their uh-you know what and they need some medicine so we both came here to get it.” Percy was careful with his choice of words clearly hesitant when coming close to the word “period”
He still doesnt know that Will is intersex and the sunshine boy plans to keep it that way. If he can-
The good thing about Percy is that he was mostly oblivious to these types of things.
“Uh-” What if he looks at the screen or in the bag ?!
“Will ?” percy was closer now inspecting Will's face and body language
“Yeah-ill-il- uh be there!” Will smiled thinly at the tall raven-haired boy who was grinning at him.
“PERCY !” a voice called out in the distance- that had to be no other than Jason.
Percy turned around to spot the boy with glasses Will took his chances and quickly tapped his card and rapidly grabbed his bag from the desk counter
His hands were shaking with sweat his forehead still trickling with it,with the back of his wrist he swiped it off swiftly,attempting to avoid raising any eyebrows
“So uh what are you doing here anyway?” percy turned his head faster than light itself,Will jump back a little at the sight of it
“Uh- I needed to get some medicine for my stomach. I haven't really been doing as good recently.” the blonde eyeing his bag and avoiding all eye contact with percy
“Are you sure it's just your stomach you're sweating like crazy!” percy finally noticed scanning Will's sweating forehead the sweat trickling all the way down to his neck, to his butter finger hands
“Uh yeah No-I ran here- that uh probably why” though Will may have been a horrible liar percy was horrible when it came to noticing details his adhd made sure of that
Will technically ran into the right person if it were anyone else he’d be drowned in questions and concerns.
“I'll be there though,cya percy !” Will rapidly waved goodbye and tried to act normal as he attempted to leave before Jason had come to greet him
“Bye !” Percy innocently waved back with wide smile

When Will had finally made it out the store he had made sure as soon as he got out he had to get far from the store to not get spotted by Percy or Jason again.
The blonde stopped sweating when he felt the cold evening wind blow against his hair and face. It felt like a sensation of peace but just for a second-
Just for a moment.
As if all his problems didn't matter and became nothing. He wishes….
“I did everything early, Nico still won't be home for another hour. I should just take it while I can.” Will explained to himself nervously as he hung the bag around his wrist and started rubbing his hands together
It was one of his coping mechanisms.
He eyed the bag which contained what he was talking about
Will decided to take the train to the nearest stop near camp and walk from there. It got colder, it might even start snowing tonight.
What would Nico think if he found out you were pregnant ?
“He wouldnt want a useless medic like you or that poor child that the likes of you are bringing into this world!” a voice roared in his head so loud as he walked through the autumn approaching winter winds.
It just got colder. That was for sure
Will didnt even know if Nico would want the baby.
“What if he tells me to abort it ?!”
“What if he leaves me ?!”
“What if-”
Now it was multiple roars of voices in his head
“WILL!” a voice. He knew that voice. Will turned around to face his sister, Kayla who put both hands on each of his shoulders and shook him aggressively
The sensation made Will’s head spin-his stomach started to get this awful feeling and before he knew it he was shoving his sister aside before even responding to her to run to the nearest bathroom ; the Apollo cabin.
The blonde boy’s mind working before his eyes. He knew the camp by heart after all he didnt even notice he had reached camp it felt like he was walking and walking.
Slamming the door open and hastily closing it, too caught up by feeling the vomit climbing up his throat to remember to lock it
He bent over the toilet and spilled his guts outs, when he finally feltl fine he washes his face and hands (as a doctor he knows all about bacteria trust him)
Tears began to form in his eyes as he fell to the ground curled up into a ball.
“Why did these things always happen to him?!” he,himself was screaming at him for always getting into something
He just wanted this all to be over or wake up and make it seem like it's a dream.
The door opened.
Right he forgot to lock it.
Someone had entered ; his sister who was crouching beside him put her arms around him and for some reason he didnt care if he looked vulnerable.
For the second time in his life he allowed himself to break down in front of someone.
It were moments like these that made Will feel like he could let people see his emotions and not have to bottle them up.
But he let that thought drift into his mind as he snapped back into reality.
“Will I dont know whats happening but Im here ok-please just breath can you do that?” Kayla spoke gently as if he were a fragile little child
Will opened up a little more allowing himself to see her while still covering his face,he just couldn't hide the shame of being vulnerable.
“yeah -no thanks Kayla im fine.” Will’s breathing was heavy as he placed one hand over his chest as if it were meant to help him get more air and wobbly stood up like he was standing on 1 leg but he wasn't.
“Will dont give me that bullcrap- you're always there for us-let-just-let me help you big bro, just this once please tell me what's wrong Im here for you” she gave him a sad smile standing up to his pace.
She once again wrapped her arms around him,which he didnt object to in anyway he embraced her as she whispered to him even softer
“Just tell me whats wrong please-” she was pleading with him her eyes started to fill with tears as she gently released the hug instead taking Will’s hands and absorbing them into hers
Great now he was even a burden to his sister.
Why was he becoming everyone's problem?
“Useless healer”
“Good for nothing”
“You couldnt save them”
“He died because of you”
“You failed as a medic”
The thoughts roared loudly in his mind once again, tears were flowing from his eyes as he looked at his sister
She looked sympathetic with him, her puppy dog eyes frowning with her.
Without catching another beat “I think I'm pregnant!” Will's voice felt like it echoed through the bathroom
Why did he tell her ?
He didnt mean to it just–he-just-Why did he do that ?
Will was waiting for her disappointed look “how could you get pregnant so young?” as he withdrew his hands from hers,again rubbing his hands together to ease the tension
Kayla's expression changed rapidly and to Will's surprise not in a bad way.
Her face went from wide eye shock to absolute joy as she began to hop in one place bouncing up and down
“OH MY GOD REALLY,WILL THAT'S AMAZING!” She embraced him into a very tight hug
WIll still shocked by her reaction “you're not disappointed or mad?” his eyes wide unable to move or say anything beyond that really
“Of course not silly!” she let him go for the second time out of the hug and she was practically jumping for joy and grinning widely at him
“I didnt take the test though I-m not sure.” he admitted, bringing his arms up and crossing them, his eyes looking down, mouth frowning.
“Welll -come on, let's go!” she grabbed him roughly by the wrist dragging his out of the bathroom, her pace slow her legs fast
“Uh-where we going ?” Will softly asked his sister as she brought him from the washroom to their cabin kitchen she finally let go of him
Unable to tame her smile she still didnt give the boy a response, she walked towards the fridge she took something out of it turned around with a large grin and held it up
She finally said “we're going to make you take that test dumbazz!” she yelled in excitement she was holding two bottles of orange juice one is each hand she place both bottes on the island as she went to grab a cup
Will’s face turned red from the mention of the test “ Kayla quiet down someone might hear” shushing his sister
“Oops sorryyyyy.” She didn't sound so sorry, Will just slapped his forehead in response not surprised by his sisters outburst
She was a daughter of Apollo after all he's not blaming her.Apollo kids are usually loud it's like a genetic trait supposedly from their dad.
But now thinking of it, the weight felt easier to carry now that someone else knew it still wasnt the same as telling Nico but he would get there. Well- he thinks..
“So what-im just gonna drink 2 whole bottles of orange juice-why can't I drink water or something?” Will questioned her, his fingers tapping the island impatiently eyes wandering the cabin as if had never seen it before new decorations were put up by if he was guessing the new set of Apollo kids.
“Well jeeeez if you prefer water over-JUICE just say that!” she looked at him in disbelief while pouring the juice into two glasses.
One of the glasses was way bigger than the other. Yep that was his for sure. Will sat down on a high stool he pulled from beneath the island.
Kayla then rolled her eyes and pushed the tallest glass towards him.”just drink it already.”
Will put his hands around the cup, eyes locked on it he took a deep breath then brought the cup up to his mouth and started chugging it down.
“I can't tell if you're thirsty or determined.” Kayla raised an eyebrow watching her brother chug 1 liter of orange juice
Will continued to pour glass after glass of orange juice. Still nothing.
10 minutes later….

“Ugh. My stomach hurts. I just drank 5 liters of orange juice and I still can't pee.” Will pouted elbows covering his face as he brought his head down on the surface of the table.
“Uh, maybe try water ?” she sympathetically looked at him grabbing a water bottle from the cabinet and sliding it to him from across the island
“Thanks-” he head rose as he reached his arm out to grab the water but he didnt need it to cause the urge to finally hit him like a truck.
Ugh finally. Will thought to himself. Rushing to the washroom and opening the box in a hurry he threw it in the trash bin. He opened up the plastic and took it out.
Looking at the pregnancy test itself was chilling to the bone,not knowing what might be the results of the test of chilling to the marrow.
Will realized he was shaking his hands unsteady on the test.
It's now or never.

“Hey bro you good in there?!” a soft knock on the door,Will was in the bathroom for quite some time now he sat on the floor his legs crossed his mind spaced out.
Will’s mind just hoped it was some sort of Illness or sickness that had pregnancy-like symptoms Snapping but he knew better.
back to reality when hearing his sister's voice “uh yeah im fine, nothing yet.” his voice was barley above a whisper.
Will finally stood up and with shaky hands and half closed eyes picked up the test, would pray to the GODS work now or was it too late for that ?
2 lines - “pregnant”
Before Will had any reaction to the test-
“WILL, NICO’S BACK AND HE'S LOOKING FOR YOU,HURRY.” Kayla sounded panicked as she gave her brother the warning, her voice just a whisper.
Well shit.
Fuck.
Dammit.
And all the other damn swear words he could think of.
