Chapter Text
Working at a fast food restaurant is not an easy task especially at Builder Brother's Pizza. Between rush hours with barely any hands on deck and the strangest requests for pizza toppings(like seriously who wants anchovies on their slice), it's a lot. Not to mention the griefer and hacker roaming around because the admins are too “busy” to deal with them.
It's why our favorite employee of the month much prefers working in the delivery industry. Staying far away from the center of the storm while getting paid the same as the one stuck in the boxing department. Sure you might meet some rather eccentric customers and they might live miles away from the shop, but if they desire a cold pizza and a lukewarm soda he is not one to judge. As long as he is far away from the shop.
That's exactly what Elliot desperately needs right now, a break from the spiraling mess that was today's shift. Along with usual customers who can't be bothered with a simple thank you, he also had to deal with a newcomer's stupidity of trying to bake a pizza at 4030°C for 1 minute, and the oven unsurprisingly blew up. Fortunately, other than the idiot who caused the mess in the first place, no one else was severely injured other than a few bruises and cuts.
But with every fire breaking out means a safety inspection and fire safety lectures from the fire department which Elliot had lost count of how many times he had heard the speech. Thankfully(or not) only the oven in use was destroyed, unfortunately, that was the best oven the restaurant offers.
It's only downhill from here, karens demanding a refund for their pie despite eating ¾ of it, a prankcall for 10 pizzas that another coworker believes and now there are 10 pizzas for no reason that they are required to dispose of. Store policy said they can't have the food even if no one picks it up or the order is canceled. Not to mention all the spilled drinks he had to clean up because everyone is ridiculously clumsy today.
When will this miserable day end?
“Hey, Elliot! Can you please help with delivery?” Elliot blinked twice before turning around with his customer service smile facing Lulu, the only other competent coworker, she occasionally dozes off but who can blame her this job will take a toll on you. “Please, I had to leave early today and I don't think Michael will be up for the job, Please?”
And that's how he got out of the messy part of his job, cruising on his trusty scooter to speedrun delivery. It's nice to end the day, miles better than waiting for the night shift to show up, and they will make you wait.
Maybe this day isn't all too bad, Elliot thought as he checked the final delivery order for a single piece of fried chicken, placed by Telamon? Elliot blinked twice before reading each letter out, T-E-L-A-M-O-N, Telamon. It wasn't a mistake, perhaps a prank call or someone impersonating him, but surely they would have ordered more than a singular piece of fried chicken.
Elliot weighs his options, goes in, and gets punished for trespassing because Telamon didn't order the chicken. Or don't deliver the food and get Swiss-kebab from the angry devotees of the swordfighting master. Realizing the dilemma he is in, Elliot groans as he makes his way to the heights, hopefully Telamon is merciful enough to let him go if he is wrong.
Arriving at the heights, the holy grounds of the divine being known as Telamon, undefeated champion in his own game, tamer of hurricanes, legends have it that no one had made it out of the heights without missing one or two fingers. The faint scent of blood invaded Elliot's nostrils as the quiet hums whispered in the air as Elliot moved deeper into the lion's death making him realize mercy might be off the table.
While Elliot carefully navigated the hills and parkour over heights where he would meet his demise, he passed many Robloxians lying on the floor unconscious and newspaper, the caption “Beware of Serial motorcycle thief”. Telamon was here at some point, why does he have the most unnerving feeling that he is being watched? Elliot cautiously approached someone crawling towards the exit, maybe he made a mistake coming here.
“Please, Mercy! I BEG YOU!” The man screams as soon as Elliot is in view, hugging his head with his arms that are littered with bruises and cuts. Eventually the man peeked and noticed the one before him was the ruthless god but a terrified delivery boy, he grabbed Elliot's shoulder and shook him like a teenager would to their Christmas present. “What are you doing here?! Leave this place AT ONCE!”
Frightened and now fearing for his life, only heard the man behind screaming before the man's horrifying wail abruptly stopped. Elliot turned around and where the man's body had once been, almost like it had never been there, the only piece of proof someone had left was a pool of blood.
‘It's fine, it's fine. Stay calm’ Elliot slowly backed away from the puddle of blood, bumping into someone. Elliot froze, as he stared at the large shadow on the ground, how did he not notice that? ‘It's fine, maybe it is just the wall.’
“Greeting, unwelcome guest,” Elliot screamed out of fright as he brought his arm up to protect his face, accidentally knocking his visor down. The deity behind him grins wickedly as they spin Elliot around to inspect or dissect him. “Telamon don't recall you being here earlier, tell Telamon why you trespassed in my humble abode.”
“I'm I’m look-looking for Telamon???”
The winged deity who does not know what personal space means chuckles as they swirl a lock of Elliot's blonde hair, grin wider as Elliot's skin flushed red. “You found who you seek. Tell me, trespasser in red, what is it you want from Telamon?”
“I I AM HERE TO DELIVER YOUR FRIED CHICKEN!” After taking a deep breath and convincing himself that he won't die, Elliot opened his mouth to speak, not shout. Silence takes over the tense atmosphere, crows circling overhead, equally bewildered as the god who paused their action of messing with the delivery boy's hair.
“Oh,had Telamon requested mortal food?” The god brought their hand to their chin, deep in thought. When had Telamon ordered some chicken? Until something comes to mind. “OH, my dearest Buildsy, you really didn't have to.”
Elliot is left even more confused than the god before him moments prior, mumbling to himself about something for a return gift and whatnot. Before he even began to comprehend what the hell was going on, the god's attention was once again on him, shadows obscure their eyes yet he could feel their gaze piercing through his soul. “Well? Trespasser in red, where is this poultry?”
Stunned, Elliot reached into his sidebag and pulled out the paperback containing the singular piece of fried chicken. The deity prudently took out the piece of chicken, examining the chicken like a scholar would to understand what's the purpose of a tomb. Before taking a humongous bite, leaving only ⅓ left.
“Mmmm, it is as my dear said. Delectable.” Elliot sighed in relief, not a prank and they are actually enjoying it. Until the god's smile turns upside down, their free hand now welding the Illuminati, their weapon of choice. “However, it's cold.”
Elliot's blood ran cold, his mouth opened and closed uselessly as he thought of an excuse Threatened by the approaching god who was taking slow and deliberate steps, he blurted out the first thing he thought of. “Ummmm, You’re… You are a very hard person to find?”
The god laughed, their deep laughter echoing across the heights, sending shivers down Elliot and all those who are in the heights spine. “You amused me, trespasser in red. Very well,Telamon shall grant you a minute head start, better start running.”
Elliot wasted no time, bolting away from where he had stood petrified a second prior. Behind him, he could hear the god taunts, dramatically counting down like it's nothing more than an ordinary game between friends, like Elliot's life isn't at risk. Oh, why did he agree to take over today’s delivery duty?
Feeling he had made enough distance, Elliot stopped to catch his breath, only for someone to grab him from behind. His screams for help and mercy muffled as a hand covered his mouth, a rough voice next to his ear whispering to him to be quiet.
Whoever is behind him leads them to a corner overshadowed by the heights, hiding them both from view behind some walls. Before Elliot could ask why, Telamon descended from above, intensely scanning the premises for the delivery boy. The god checks the surrounding area before slowly making their way to where Elliot back is pushed against the wall, holding his breath. The one beside Elliot frozen in place before poking a mouse who's also petrified, startling rodent enough for it to run from their hiding spot and in turn exposing itself to the god. The god responds to the rat's sudden appearance is to blasted it , ending its life in an instant. They meticulously observe the wall and ground for another minutes before finally concluding no one was here and spread their wings to soar off to the distance.
“That's lying bastard, it's only been 45 seconds.” His savior muttered before standing up, sweeping away the dust on his cloak. While Elliot comes to a horrible realization, they are gonna kill him. Moments earlier was the closest he had been to death, only inches away from entering heaven or hell. “Come on, we'll have to move.”
He has the undefeated champion in swordfighting, tamer of hurricanes hunting him like a bounty hunter. Before his thoughts could spiral down further, someone shook his shoulders hard, and a gruffed voice reminded him, there is still time to run. “Not the time to be panicking.”
Elliot looked up, red eyes stared back at him, their white hair covered one of their eyes, and their unzipped mouth pressed into a thin line, chains wrapped around their body rattling. Realizing Elliot is now paying attention to them, they let go of Elliot's shoulder. “Back with me?”
Elliot nodded after some hesitation, the white hair savior inspected the surrounding area, then proceeded to ripping out one of their eyes before looking in all directions, after a while they turned back to face Elliot who was still frozen with fear and confusion, reluctantly they offered their hand“Let's go.”
Elliot blinked and glanced at the person in front of them still silently waiting for him to take the hand, now sighing exasperatingly. “I don't bite.”
Eventually, Elliot took the offered hand and was immediately pulled along by the white hair person. Going through many twists and turns, ducking behind blind spots occasionally to wait out the god who is still searching for him, who looks more and more frustrated with each encounter without Elliot’s body laying motionless on the floor.
Soon, what felt like an eternity of the combination of hiding and running, the pair made it to the entrance and the exit of the heights. Elliot let out a sigh of relief as he let go of his savior ‘s hand “Thank you. Um, I am afraid I don't know your name.”
“...1x. My name is 1x.” That's a rather peculiar name, he seen names worse than that though, in what world is ‘afylcljalgiagpis’ a good name and how would you even pronounce that. “Well, thank you 1x for helping me.”
‘Ok, I am never gonna do delivery ever again.’Elliot reflected on what happened today as he made his way to where he should have parked his scooter, only to find the scorched lines of the bike and one of the wheels. “Fuck.”

Elliot closes his phone , sitting down on the curb. The sun slightly blinds his eye as it descends to light the heights in a brilliant orange, most followers will be honored to see such a sight but now Elliot has some rather mixed feelings for the god.
Elliot flinched when he heard movements behind him, turning around he realized it was only 1x walking up to stand beside him before taking a seat next to him. “... you aren't going home.”
“Oh, I my I'm waiting for my friend to pick me up.” His white haired savior nodded, ending their short dissuasion. After a few minutes of sitting in dead awkward silence, Elliot had enough and initiated a conversation"So, what were you doing at the heights?”
“If I said I was created with the sole purpose to help fake their death, would you believe me?”1x replied, answering his question with a question. One where Elliot is more than confused about what they meant. The Telamon, wants to fake their death? “Why would they want that?”
“Don't know, they are impulsive as fuck,is why I am here.” 1x scoffed as Elliot silently prayed for their and his life, talking shit about God whose domain is right behind them not to mention all the rabid devotees within their range. “They know their followers will riot if they just straight up disappeared, so hey let's fake my death so my crazed fans won’t be mad at me, Fucking jerk. Made me the scapegoat.”
“Oh, sounds…” Well his image of God, specifically the one who resides in the heights is forever scattered beyond repair like when you drop a vase then you try to glue it back only for it to fall apart even more and now you in even bigger cahoots, not that he thinks highly of them in the first place. “Terrible.”
“They are.”
“Are you gonna return to the heights?”Elliot asks while blinking his eyes slowly. 1x turns to look at him, offended he will even suggest such a thing “And help that joke of a god? Fuck no.”
“But you do have somewhere to go, right?”
“....” The lack of answers is all Elliot needs, they need a place to hide and if it means delaying the plans of the god who hunts for sport… “You can stay at mine… if you want.”
“............ sure.”
Silence befall the two once more, screams of mercy echoed in the distance. They sat side by side watching the sunset, Elliot rubs his eyes, the adrenaline from running from death leaving his body. His head dips forward, eyes growing more heavy the longer he fights off sleep. Before long the call of sleep was too strong and his world turned dark.
-
1x feels a weight on her shoulder, she turns curious to find what her creator dubbed “trespasser in red” asleep on her shoulder. She sighed, brushing away the strands of hair in his face. What was someone so soft doing in the ruthless heights?
She had seen many fall to the blade of Telamon, all with desire for something , usually a curse indeed to harm another or for something equally selfish or cruel. The “trespasser in red” had a desire too, the wish to leave this place alive and to see his family. Many before also had this wish, moments before they met their demise, yet she didn't help them, so why did she feel so compelled to help him?
As she continues to ponder for a reason , a sleek black car that’s 100% within the speed limits rolls up and somehow perfectly parallel parks next to them. Out comes a guy in a suit, frantically searching around for something or someone before finally noticing them, the glint reflected by the sunglasses they wear blinding her momentarily as he sprints toward them. ‘Must be the friend he speak off’
“Elliot! Admins above you scare me.” The man ignored her as he crouched down to check his friend, promptly disregarding her existence for a solid minute before finally noticing he had company. Surprised by her not so sudden presence, he fell on his ass. “Oh hI, didn't didn't see you there.”
“Eh, don't know if Elly here told you who I am but just in case. I'm Chance.” He offers a handshake, confused 1x took it only for Chance to shake her hand like he was mixing a drink. “And you are?”
“..........1x1x1x1.”
“Well, that's a mouthful. Any chance I can call you-”
“No.”
“What about-”
“No.”
“YousureIcan’tgiveyouone,yournameisreally-”
“Yes.”
“Alright, miss 1x1x1x1. Thank you for looking after my friend.” Chance gently picked up Elliot , careful not to disturb his slumber. 1x just stared at them, before turning away muttered something “.... Assuming my gender, in the big 20, scandalous.”
“WAIT WAIT, I DIDN'T MEAN TO! I AM SO SORRY!” Chance flagged their arms around like he had a seizure, leaving a drowsy Elliot to support own body and as the stereotypes go, Elliot body “slowly” falls to the ground. Thankfully 1x reaches out inches before Elliot could have the pleasure of testing how hard the cement was. “...”
“Hey! Look. I didn't mean to stop giving me that look.” 1x ignored Chance in favor of shifting how she carries Elliot into something more comfortable for both of them. You know it, All romance writers love it, the bridal style carry. Chance stood dumbfounded as a stranger they swore Elliot himself didn't know carried him to his car, opened the door and climbed inside like she? owned it. “EXCUSE ME??? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?”
“I am your new little friend …….. Partner?” Chance jaws drop , they stare at each other equally bewildered, crows circling over head , laughing their ass off. “.... stop staring at me like that, what? never seen a green person?”
“ELLIOT CAN PULL BITCHES?!”
In the car, is a pizza boy deep in dreamland unaware of the storms of questions that need to be addressed.
