Chapter 1: Accidental encounters...?
Chapter Text
—Grim! Come here, we have to go back to the dorm.
No matter how hard he searches, he can't find that troublemaker.
A moment ago, he was going over the rules of the Queen of Hearts with Ace and Deuce, even though they don't share the same dorm, often hangs out at Heartslabyul with Grim, so has to memorize the rules so as not to anger the prefect.
In the middle of his argument with Ace about whether the rule «You must never bring cats to a festival» should be enforced, Deuce remembered their feline companion and noticed he was no longer with them.
Worried that he'd gotten into more trouble, they split up to find him.
—The worst part is, I can't mad with him...
Walks around the garden, looking around. He remembers that Grim sometimes hides in bushes when he finds something, approaches a place with a tempting scent, or... gets into a fight. Thinking about those possibilities sends shivers down his spine; he's tired of wandering around apologizing for his companion's rudeness.
Decides to search the bushes first, crouching down, his hands throbs the ground, unable to see much. God, he has to do things like this just for that little one.
—Grim~ Are you here? Answer me... Are you mad because I took your tuna yesterday? Please don't be so upset and come out. I promise to pay you back...
As continues crawling, his hands brush against something soft. Confidently, he reaches out and strokes it to see what it is. Feeling the soft touch of hair, he feels relieved and moves closer to the bush.
—Grim, don't throw a tantrum and...
—Uh...
Seeing a guy instead of his feline friend, his hand stops in the boy's hair, and his smile trembles.
It's Floyd.
Bites his tongue to keep from screaming and alarming the Eel. The thought of what might happen if wakes Floyd makes him shudder; cannot allow that.
His hand slowly moves away from the guy's hair, but as his fingers tangled with some locks, it almost causes a sharp tug. Floyd lets out an annoyed groan, and his eyelids flutter. With his heart in his mouth, immediately uses the trick he used on Grim to avoid waking him when had to get out of bed.
His fingers move delicately, making sure his caress is gentle and doesn't bother the tangled locks. Floyd seems to calm down a little, but from the way his face wrinkles, knows he's about to wake up.
It's the end.
Very carefully, sits down next to him to improve his posture, his hand moving more confidently through Floyd's hair to convey the warm sensation that brings drowsiness. At the same time, softly hums a lullaby; the first one that came to mind.
Inside, feels like a thousand stakes are stabbing him. Why must he coddle a guy like a child? Fear moves his body unconsciously, but at this point, it shouldn't even surprise him what adrenaline makes him do sometimes.
—Tarara... Rara...~
Other than that, luckily, the eel seems to let himself be carried away by his pampering; his breathing calms again, and his body remains lazily reclined.
Waits thirty minutes to check that Floyd is asleep. Then, slowly, he moves away from the bush, his limbs shaking.
Almost holding his breath, he listens for Floyd's reaction to his absence, but when he doesn't hear anything, assumes he's still lying on his soft blanket, unconcerned about the outside world. That's a miracle. He's been spared a huge mess.
He breathes a sigh of relief, then hurries away. He can't stay there any longer and risk Floyd waking up again.
Returning to the spot where he lost Grim, tries to contact his friends, but just then sees Grim with Jack. So approaches them, annoyed.
—Grim, where were you?!
—Henchman! B..Better said! Where were you?! You're lost, and I was looking for you!"
—I think someone else was lost...
Yuu thanks Jack for finding Grim. Apparently, Grim'd been hanging around near the fountain, sobbing in frustration because couldn't find them. Is relieved that he didn't get into trouble, apparently heeds his scoldings.
Calls Deuce and Ace to announce that he's found Grim, then takes Jack with him to go with the boys to magic history class.
(* * *)
As the days have passed, he's gotten used to taking care of Grim quite a bit. I mean, not paying attention to him as if he were his companion... But rather pampering him as if he were a child. It's strange, he knows. Besides, shouldn't spoil him because then Grim becomes unbearable, but it's impossible for him.
—Noni, noni, noni~ Sleep, my baby...
—I'm not a baby... Funa...
—Yes, yes, sleep now...
Since Grim was making a big fuss about failing a quiz, Yuu had to calm him down. It was inevitable. Epel tried to give him caramel apples, but he refused. Even Ortho proposed giving them an oven to make desserts, he also reject it, was a shame, they really needed an oven.
Knowing that his beloved companion would be embarrassed to be pampered in front of his friends, Yuu took him near the stairs, since no one was there at the time.
Grim hides under his coat and buries his face against his chest. If it weren't for the fact that he's sometimes such a pain in the ass, he'd think he was an angel.
—Rest, my boy~ Rest, my baby. Tomorrow will be a beautiful day and you can go out and play...
Despite the feline's lazy complaints, he feels his body grow heavier and his breathing calm. Pats him gently on the back while continuing to hum. Curious, he used to think this was ridiculous, but now that he sees Grim sleeping so peacefully, thinks it's worth it.
Laughs tenderly, rocks him gently in his arms, and carefully gets up from the floor.
Applause.
His smile freezes and his face begins to burn a little. He turns slightly and looks over the steps.
A tall guy with a professional smile applauds him, almost as if moved, but he knows he's the type to mock inside.
Lets out an annoyed sigh and looks at him tiredly. Jade seems "surprised" by his reaction. However, as soon as he smiles mockingly and shows his sharp teeth, he confirms his suspicions.
—Is he tired? It must be difficult to take care of such a troubled child.
Avoids getting upset by the indiscreet provocation; he knows Jade is not someone to be taken lightly. So, stops himself from frowning further and ignores his mockery.
—Quite a bit, but I still love him even though he's a mess... I guess it's almost the same with you with Floyd.
—I won't deny it, Floyd is a very unpredictable person, but he's sweet... when he's in the mood.
—..His mood is hard to predict. I guess for some, that's beneficial? I mean, Floyd is really dangerous if he's focused on something, has an excellent memory and good skills. He'd be among the top students if he showed the will
—I'll take that as a compliment; he'll be happy to hear the prefect praise him.
The eel smiles back. He's used to double-crossed threats, doesn't quite believe his words, although they partly make him curious, not knowing what goes on in those guys' minds.
—Happy with my compliment? I think I should be flattered that you're trying to lighten my mood with sweet lies.
He wraps Grim more tightly in his arms, not noticing the gentle expression of Octavinelle's deputy leader, who then resumes his salesmanlike smile.
—Don't get me wrong, I'm not lying to please you. Floyd seems quite interested in you lately.
—Really...?
Feels uncomfortable with his answer; doesn't notice any hint of deceit in his eyes, nor does he feel like he's being scammed like before. Jade seems to be sincere.
—Maybe... he seems very addictive for you now.
A shiver runs through his body. The thought of Floyd chasing him every time he sees him and trying to crush him makes him shudder. Should avoid it from now on.
—Oh... W... Well, give him my regards. Oh, and don't stay up so late, Jade.
Rushes to flee before the eel says something else terrifying. Doesn't want to hear that Floyd wants him as a friend or is in love with him; doesn't think he can handle his mood swings.
—How...?
On the other hand, Jade touches his face in confusion. He hid his dark circles with concealer, and no one told him if he looked tired...
—...
Maybe taking care of others so much has caused the prefect's vision to sharpen.
—I can understand Floyd a little now.
However, he'll still keep an eye on Yuu to see if it's a good idea for him to get close to Floyd. The Ramshackle prefect is a very good person, but he also doesn't know if he can connect well with his brother.
(* * *)
—Hey, Grim! Come here!
—I'm not going to Heartslabyul's dorm! Riddle is very annoying!
When their class was over, Cater approached them to announce that there would be an unbirthday party that day; as always, they were invited. But for some strange reason, Grim threw a tantrum and refused to go. Yuu couldn't believe it. Grim always looked forward to eating Trey's desserts, and even thought he might be sick.
He let Ace and Deuce go back to his dorm, not wanting to delay them; as Riddle needed his assistance to help prepare for the party. Even though they insisted on helping him, he promised to go with Grim after checking on him.
But as soon as they were alone, Grim ran off.
-Grim! Come on...
Bumped into some boys along the way, even overhearing them scolding him for running, but ignore them knowing that they won't punish him for it.
He focused his attention on the kitten, who kept yelling about not going to Heartslabyul like a spoiled brat. God, what happened to him? He wasn't this annoying before.
Before could catch up with him, he stumbled down a damp hallway and fell to the ground. Grim burst out laughing and kept running. Yuu hurriedly got up to follow him. Saw him entering the garden, so made sure to hurry before he lost sight of him.
—Grim! This isn't a game. Tell me what's wrong with you!"
—I don't want Riddle to take my cookie again!"
—But that happened at the unbirthday party two months ago! And you ate a whole cake before that!
Grim pouts, then leaps into the bushes.
He lets out a long breath and runs toward him before can't find his tail in the leaves.
—Grim, you're acting very strange, surely you're not sick...?
Suddenly, the cat disappears from his sight. He frowns as tries to figure out where Grim could have hidden. Stress almost rises in his head, but cools his mind before exploding. It won't fix anything if he gets angry; it would just be a waste of time.
—Grim, come on. I promise Riddle won't bother you anymore, okay...?"
That's a lie, but he needs to negotiate with him before the hour is up and it's time for the party. Doesn't want Riddle to scold him for being late.
The silence in the garden worries him a little; it's strange that it's so quiet... What if something else is bothering him?
Carefully, he crouches and crawls through the bushes, his hands searching for him without any roughness. Feels he should be gentle if Grim is really feeling ill.
—Grim... Talk to me, okay...? You're worrying me...
His spirits drop at the thought that Grim must be feeling sad. If something really happens to him, he should cancel his visit and take care of him at home...
—Grim?
His hand reaches for a worn bun, stops himself from sighing, and leans a little closer to talk to him.
—Is something wrong...? Talk to me, okay...? I don't want you to be sad...
His fingers try to find his ears to stroke them, but when they don't, he gets a little confused and strokes his hair.
—Hey...
Begins to measure himself in the bush, sensing that something isn't right. When his eyes meet his, his body immediately freezes.
—You're very kind, Koebi-chan... Just I was a little sad...
Floyd rests his head on his arm, lying lazily on the floor and smiling sleepily. He has the worst luck running into eel again while looking for Grim. Although right now it seems Floyd is in a good mood... He should take advantage of that.
—Yeah...? Were you bored?
—A little, yes, but also annoyed because Koebi seems more concerned with Azarashi. You've been avoiding me a lot lately...
—Are you sure about that...? Maybe we just haven't been able to see each oth...
—Don't push yourself. Every time you see me, you scream and run off with your friends. It's annoying...
Forces himself not to push him. If he keeps refusing, Floyd's mood worsens. It's better to admit defeat and calm him down.
—Well, I admit I do...
Floyd pouts irritably. Yuu stands up a little and tries to look around, hoping Grim is nearby, but Floyd's hand stops him and suddenly pulls him closer. Causing him to almost fall on top of him.
—Ah- Wait...! I have to...
—Find Azarashi-chan, right...? Leave him alone for a while and stay with me...
—Floyd.
He frowns, but Floyd grabs onto his waist before he can escape. Yuu can only shake his head. Takes one last look at the surroundings before stroking Floyd's hair to calm him down.
Is a little surprised to see Floyd with a handkerchief tied around his neck in a bow; he assumes that's why mistook him for his feline friend.
—It's okay, Floyd... I'm sorry, okay...? Later I can walk you to your dorm and play with you, but now...
—You're lying, I know you won't come...
Feels his arms begin to tighten around his waist, his eyes flashing with a threatening gleam. Fine, understands he's angry for avoiding him, but if he always reacts like this, it's obvious won't want to see him.
Rushes to reassure Floyd, his hand moving to his cheek and his thumb finger gently stroking him. It may seem strange to outsiders, but by now he's gotten used to pampering others thanks to Grim.
—Fine, fine... I'll be with you, but I'm worried about Grim... Could you at least help me find...
Controls his voice to whisper softly. This trick wouldn't work with Floyd normally, but with it current mood, might be worth a try.
At his caresses and sweet tone, he notices Floyd's gaze soften and begin to relax, and slowly lets go of the squeeze. Suddenly feels Floyd's hand go to his pocket. He looks at it confused until sees him take his phone. Before stopping him, Floyd turns on his phone and shows him a message on the screen.
—Oh- What?
Doesn't want to pay attention to him, but when he sees the word «Grim» in the message, pick up the phone immediately.
Is a text from Trey: [Grim's with me. I found him near the garden. He's helping carry the groceries. Where are you?]
Lets out a long sigh and rushes to reply to the message. However, the fact that he's with Floyd makes him hesitate.
[I'm in the garden... Looks like I won't be able to make it.]
[Did something happen? Did you hurt yourself?]
[I'm with Floyd.]
[I see... I'll tell the guys. Let them know if you need help.]
Laughs a little. He doesn't need to say anything for him to understand. He'd asked them for help before to avoid the eel. Therefore, they understand his situation.
—Koebiii...
—Yeah, yeah~
Turns off the phone before his mood changes. Since Floyd still hasn't let go, he continues stroking his cheek until the guy calms down completely.
Almost as if on impulse, his eyes traveled over the trees and bushes around him. He began to hum to entertain himself, unaware that he was pampering Floyd even more, as he usually did with Grim.
—Sleep, my boy... Sleep now... When tomorrow dawns, you can go out and play... Sleep, my little one...
He didn't hear Floyd's airy laugh, but he didn't deny his caresses. He yawned a little lazily and hid his face in his lap, hugging him gently, but still holding him like a pillow. Soon he felt Yuu's other hand pat his back, didn't question his unconscious reactions and just enjoyed his cuddles.
—Mmm~
After a while, he stopped dissociating and realized that he had put Floyd to sleep with his caresses. His smile froze as he felt himself unable to move because of the guy's firm embrace.
—Floyd...
His hand rests on the boy's back, and he rolls his eyes in disbelief at his situation.
He definitely needs to be careful around the gardens from now on.
(* * *)
—So, you sold your friend for ten cans of tuna?!?
Cater looks at Grim in disbelief. Grim puts his paws on his hips in indignation. Trey can only shake his head.
—I had no choice! Besides, he threatened to squeeze me if I didn't take Yuu to the garden...
Grim almost squeals at the memory of Floyd squeezing his cheeks until he accepted his proposal. Riddle frowns at the mere mention of Floyd.
—Next time I see him, I'll cut his head off. He can't be bothering the first-year student like that!
—Yuu hasn't texted me yet, so I think he's okay...
—Next time, we should take Yuu with us so Floyd doesn't bother him so much.
The Heartslabyul students discuss how they could get their boys' friend to avoid Leech. Grim feels bad for betraying Yuu like that.
—I'll give Yuu the biggest piece of the cake! It's the least I can do.
—That's if you don't eat it first~ but it's a good idea."
—You're right, I'll save some sweets for the prefect.
Riddle calms his bad mood and nods at his classmates' words. He feels irritated by what Floyd might be doing, and even more so if he's tormenting Yuu. He hopes the boy comes out unscathed.

Chapter Text
After Floyd wakes up from his nap, he picks him up and leads him to Octavinelle's dorm without his consent. Unlike other times he's been there, this time he sees the surroundings are less crowded; the music coming from the building is soft and romantic; even the courtyard seems more prepared than usual.
It would be a lovely walk.
But he's with Floyd. So that's impossible.
—Hey, I need my phone.
—Why?
—I have to answer my friends...
—You're always with them, and you'll answer them later.
Yuu forces himself not to jump on him to get his phone back. If he does, Floyd will probably take his device hostage and provoke him for fun. He must stay calm until Floyd gets bored and lets him go.
He holds his breath between his concealed lips and tries to divert his attention to another topic so the tension doesn't linger.
—I haven't been here in a while. It seems like they've decorated the courtyard more, right?
—Aaah, that? It's the decoration for the sale week. It was an idea of a Ubazame (a classmate) to attract the little fish with sweet bait, so they'd call their friends and we could catch them all... However, that's why the second years are in charge of the preparations; it was too annoying.
—... Still, it's quite nice. The atmosphere doesn't feel as heavy as usual, and it looks like a place where you can walk without fear of being devoured. Your group really understood how to convey the feeling of comfort in a shark's den.
His fingers brush against some beautiful turquoise seaweed surrounded by pearls, the corners of his mouth gently rising in contrast to his words. Floyd lets out a short laugh at his praise, forgetting the stress that the decoration work reminded him of.
—If you like it, come often~ When the sale ends, it'll return to its usual appearance, so take advantage of it before it ends.
—It's no surprise from Azul. If it's temporary, I suppose the decorations must be rented.
His attention is drawn to the statues of sea creatures and the jewel-encrusted plants, which prevents him from seeing that Floyd has been leading him to a specific place. Just as he said before, it's a perfect place to attract the attention of prey in a predator's den, and he is no exception... Only his captor is an eel besotted with him.
—We're here~
—Ah- What?
Yuu don't expect Floyd was trying to guide him somewhere; thought they were just walking aimlessly while talking until they were tired. So immediately he alarms himself and analyzes the human eel's every movement, who watches his companion, amused, grow nervous.
—Why are you trembling? Do you think I'll bite you?
—That's your hobby...
Yuu tries to ignore his provocation; he can't give him what he wants. Holds back a sigh and looks around intently, trying to ignore Floyd's eyes fixed on him.
—It looks like a lagoon...
—Azul allowed us to bring it in exchange for overtime during sales week.
—So why are you here?
—Well~ I kindly gave my place to a boy who seemed delighted to take my work.
Yuu fights off the feeling of disbelief. Damn, sly, lazy eel.
—At least it was worth your companions' sacrifice...
He admires the climbing plants clinging to the walls and the jewels mimicking wisteria flowers on the ceiling. The music is more distant now, almost like ghostly voices inviting him to that ethereal place. Despite his suspicions about Floyd, he wants to take the risk of being fooled by the beauty of the lagoon, which harmoniously reflects the colors of the jewels.
—Come here, koebi~
With that same lazy smile that can both break bones and make practical jokes, he manages to charm him instantly. However, Yuu knows that most of his charm comes from the location and the atmosphere; otherwise, he would have fled as soon as Floyd approached him.
—Are you sure this place is just for sales week? It seems overly cozy to attract customers...
—The decorations are, but this place isn't.
As they approach a small gazebo, Floyd turns to him and takes his hands with a gentleness that unsettles him a little. Before Yuu can react, the eel sits on the bench under the gazebo and pulls him toward him, causing him to fall into his lap.
—Floyd- Stop your games for a moment...
—I don't want to~
He turns his face away, embarrassed. It's a good thing no one's around to see them, otherwise he'd die of embarrassment.
Floyd doesn't seem to care about his shyness and remains clinging to his body. It takes him a while to get used to the position and be able to look around in awe.
Unlike the professionally decorated Mostro Lounge, this space is surrounded by climbing flowers and simple, yet visually beautiful, jewelry. Given Azul's mentality, he's surprised he'd agree to spend so much money for something like this.
—You said this place has nothing to do with the sale week... So?
—You said before that you have to create an environment to attract prey in the shark's lair, right? Well, I needed Koebi to want to stay with me without refusing.
—What-?
Yuu feels his breath hitch when Floyd suddenly approaches his face, inches from his. He doesn't seem to notice his surprise and maintains his lazy demeanor, as if they're talking like they usually do and not about to kiss.
—My parents agreed to give me extra money to create the lagoon, but Azul and Jade had to help with the costs. Even though I took care of everything, I had to stay and do extra work and eat mushrooms...
Floyd almost shudders remembering all that suffering, but Yuu is still processing the fact that that damn guy spent a lot of money for him.
—W..Wait... What-? You did it for me? What was your intention...?
Now he admires the place in detail, almost ashamed of Floyd's hard work to get his attention. Even though he still distrusts him, he can't help but be quite moved.
Floyd's smile widens at his companion's shock. He leans back more relaxed on the bench and holds Yuu's waist loosely, but without taking his gaze from him.
—You're so predictable, koebi~ When I laugh too much, I know you want to flee from me. If I'm calm, you stay and listen to me no matter what I say... It's funny how you keep my attention even though I can read you without being bored.
Although his words sound painful, the strange gleam in Floyd's eyes causes a strange tingle in Yuu. His face begins to burn as he notices the strange way Floyd is looking at him, and yet Floyd doesn't seem to flinch or be ashamed of his statement.
—I feel like even if I were to spend several years with you, I'd never tire of listening to you or bothering you. You're charming, Yuu.
He almost gasps when Floyd calls his name, squeezes his shoulders, and instantly buries his face in his shoulder. Floyd blurts out a laugh and squeezes his back to support him, but inside, he too is a storm that makes him anxious. No matter how much he laughs, the heat on his face doesn't go away. He's grateful that Yuu is the shyest one to notice his insecurity.
It takes a long moment for Yuu to recover, and he slowly moves away from his shoulder to look into his nervous eyes. Floyd smiles at him, dazed, without realizing it; he can't help it. Having Yuu so close makes his heart race, and he likes it.
—Unlike you, I can't predict you... Sometimes you're scary, and it's hard to keep up with you.
His eyes wander to the decorations on the tea table, softening further when Yuu notices a drawing of a cat similar to Grim on the tablecloth.
—...Although I admire your basketball skills... Sometimes I stay there for Ace... but I enjoy your games...
He feels his head spinning, he can barely get words out, and his fingers tremble against Floyd's uniform. Seriously, he's not kidding, his heart is a part-time pump. Hello!? GRIM, COME, HELP!
—I'm also surprised by your knowledge of certain subjects. It's true that you're wise when it suits you... but somehow I'm drawn to you...
Floyd's eyes fix on him more intensely. It's too much for his weak, chicken heart. He hides his face in his chest, and his hands move down to Floyd's jacket to squeeze it.
—I admit I'm terrified by your mood swings... Still, I don't mind staying with you that much... But if you give me moments like this I can't...
His vision blurs slightly as the passing roller coaster shakes him. Floyd chuckles and tightens his hug; it's not as suffocating as other times, but it only increases Yuu's shock at how careful Floyd is with him now.
—I understand, koebi~ I don't want you to die praising me...
Yuu can't help but laugh with him at his words. He lifts his face a little, can now notice the blush on Floyd's cheeks. Of course, all that time he was just as embarrassed as he was, huh... That only increases his laughter at how idiotic they both are.
Amidst euphoric laughter, Floyd buries his face in Yuu's shoulder, tightening his arms around his waist and back, while Yuu throws his head back and hugs the back of Floyd's neck.
—What is this...
—Love, Azul. Although I don't think it's something you understand.
Azul presses Jade's hat onto his head harshly at his mockery. Jade maintains his simple smile while curiously admiring the scene between his brother and the Ramshackle prefect.
They both hide behind the tangled walls. Because Floyd insisted so much on getting Yuu's attention, they were curious about the kind of meeting they would have.
But they don't expect the two to be so shy and silly with each other. At least, in their view, it's a waste of all the materials they used.
—Well, they seem to be having fun... However, I'm sad that they don't admire the jewelry. I had a hard time finding wholesalers who would sell it at a reasonable price.
—It was also a great job making the whole structure sustainable and giving the impression of an ethereal forest. But I feel like they'll use it after they calm down.
—I hope so... But if Floyd can get Yuu close to him, I can use that to stabilize his mood swings...
—As always, thinking of the benefits, Azul.
—It's what keeps me in good spirits after wasting so much money...
The Octavinelle prefect sighs but decides it's time to leave the lovebirds alone. Jade shows a trace of doubt, despite his usual smile; he's a little disconcerted to see Floyd so weak for a person.
But if it makes him happy, he can't intervene.
Both dorm leaders return to the building to oversee their business, putting romantic matters aside to discuss contract tricks they could use that afternoon.
(* * *)
[Idiot #2: Did you survive? [Hello?]
[Don't talk to me, I'm dead]
[Idiot #2: Wow, what happened? Did they devour you?]
[Something like that...]
Yuu looks at the screen, embarrassed, then at the lagoon that continues to beautifully reflect the jewels on the ceiling. Floyd is behind him, squeezing his waist. When their euphoria subsided, they took a walk around the area while Floyd explained the progress of the construction. It was a shame they'd have to take it down later, so he took a lot of photos after Floyd gave him back the phone to remember the moment.
—Floyd?
—Yeah, Yuu...?
The guy lazily lifts his head from his shoulder. He assumes all his energy has gone during their walk. It's somehow cute how he slurs his words, even more tired.
—You said I could come often, right? What time are you free?
The eel stops to think, but Yuu deduces he's just pretending because there's no effort on his face.
—Come back whenever you want. Even if we can't go out for a walk, we can talk at the Mostro Lounge.
—Azul will kill me if I distract you from work...
—Haha, I'd like to see him try.
He rolls his eyes at his words, then answers Ace's texts and turns off his phone. Because of the confessions and the walk, he feels more comfortable with Floyd now. Yes, he's aware that the next day he'll follow him around to crush like always, but at least now he loves being in his arms; no matter how many bones he's broken in other people's lives.
His eyes focus on the landscape again and he leans back more comfortably against Floyd's chest. He doesn't need to say anything, nor does the eel seem to want to speak. They just stay there, on the ground, staring at the lagoon as if it were everything.
Although maybe it's only because it's the place where they bond.

SOMEONE GRAB A GUN AND SHOOT ME, what a cringe ending, but I didn't think of any closure AAAAH
