    Sonic holds Shadow's paw, his hip, and leads, he's not supposed to watch his feet- but he can't fight the worry he'll step on Shadow, and the second time Shadow reminds him to look up, he admits it, "Amy taught me a waltz, but I was always worried I'd step on her, I don't know."

    Shadow snorts, but he's smiling, so it's fine, "You'll have to get over it, I can handle being stepped on a little. Besides, that's what the patterns are for."

    Sonic hums, tries to watch Shadow, up close Sonic can see the brown under the red sheen, and-

    Sonic trips over Shadow a little, Shadow clinging to him to hold him up, laughing quietly. Sonic mumbles, "Shut up."

    Shadow's voice is low and quiet when he responds, "You can run how fast, without looking at your feet?"
