Summary
When Desmond met Juliet, she was already dead. When Juliet met Desmond, she was alive, and the two were as strangers, in a strange land. Aware of the fate awaiting her, Desmond decides he cannot allow it to happen, but when circumstances force him to abandon her to the Island, he is haunted by that which he left behind. Refusing to let go, he swears that he will return to her and save her from her doom—no matter the cost.
