Pokemon...
Something that every generation could only dream would be realistic. Well, that dream soon became a reality.
A wormhole opened up one night and it connected the worlds of both Pokemon and our world into one. Pokemon were now a common sight in this world.
Years later however, some folks found out how quickly companies and even the government enabled a monopoly on Pokemon and made it rather hard for older folks to actually own Pokemon without connections.
One particular man is Eddy Ortiz. An electronics salesman at a smaller electronics store chain. He always watches on his phone at people having Pokemon battles and the annual World Championships.
Without a Pokemon to call his own, he watches in jealousy at other people having Pokemon. This jealousy is further fueled when one of his co-workers shows off the Pokemon they had just received, a Litten, and he asks to go home early since it was a slow day and that he just wants to wallow on his own.
He's given permission to head out early and he drives home late at night. He stops at a gas station to grab some drinks and snacks. It is until he spots something watching him from the corner and he follows after it...
