Work Text:
Bdubs and Etho lay in Etho’s bed, snuggling.
Etho is spooning the shorter hermit from behind as the brunet reads a book off his communicator.
Etho glances at the screen and sees his boyfriend is at the end of a chapter.
The glare hybrid closes his communicator, turning it off.
The room is now completely dark, the screen of Bdubs’ comn, having been the only source of light in the room.
Bdubs turns around in Etho’s arm, so they are now both facing each other.
He can’t see it because of the dark, but Bdubs knows Etho does not have his mask on anymore.
The dark fabric rests on Etho’s dresser, as it always does when the arctic fox hybrid sleeps.
“Hey there.” Etho says, low and quiet.
The sound sends goosebumps across Bdubs’ skin.
Etho curls a tender finger under Bdubs’ chin, tilting it up a bit before lips are being pressed to his, slow, loving, and familiar.
Bdubs closes his eyes.
When Etho pulls away, he whispers to Bdubs with hot breath against the glare hybrid’s lips, “Goodnight, Dubs.”
“Goodnight Etho.” Bdubs says back, snuggling into the taller hermit’s chest, falling asleep quickly in the comfort Etho brings.
