Summary
The year is 2166. Humanity lives stacked into towers above a flooded Earth, Skyborn elites looking down on the Ground. A drowned city of gangs, poverty, and firelight.
Park Sunghoon was meant for the Sky, flawless son of a corporate dynasty. Instead, he descends to the Ground to wear the badge no one wants: Ground Officer, patrolling Lantern Street where floodwater rises and the Black Fang gang rules with blood.
There, he finds what he has been searching for since childhood: Kim Sunoo, the boy with lantern-light in his hands, the boy he gave his teddy bear to sixteen years ago.
But nothing is simple. Survival on the Ground demands violence.
