“Kill you? What? Did you think I wanted to kill you? This whole time? You really are the silliest human I’ve ever come across.”
Hanbin wishes he could crawl into the nearest hole and die. Can this night get any more embarrassing? Silly? Silly?
“T—That’s what vampires do. They kill and eat humans.”
“That’s really rude,” Gyuvin frowns. He runs his thumb over Hanbin’s bottom lip. “If I wanted to kill you, don’t you think I’d have done it already?”
Hanbin supposes that’s true. If a vampire really wanted him dead, he’s sure that he would have been eaten long, long ago. At least, Gyuvin wouldn’t have entertained their nightly chases for so long if he wanted to kill him.
“I’m sorry,” Hanbin finally says after a few moments of thinking. “I guess—I assumed."
“You should be sorry.” Gyuvin pouts. “This whole time, I thought you’ve been courting me."
“Courting you?” Hanbin almost chokes.
Hanbin is probably the worst vampire hunter in the history of the profession. Gyuvin just loves to play with him.
