    Dale Weaver was glad that the holidays were coming soon. He didn't know what he was going to do with his youngest daughter, Samantha, who was twelve going on thirty. Ever since his oldest daughter, Denise who was seventeen, went off to college six months ago, Samantha has been depressed and moping around the house. He tried getting Sam involved with his work, knowing that she loved animals. At first she was reluctant to work at the kennel, but these last few weeks he saw a dramatic change in Sam's attitude and demeanor. He sure hoped that Sam was finally getting over her ‘funk' and that working with the animals had something to do with it. Little did he know that Sam was enjoying her time with the animals more than he would ever have imagined.
