   Summary

   This story takes place in something of an alternate universe. It explores what would have happened had Morse made different choices after his break-up with his former partner.

   Please note: I have incredibly little knowledge of what it’s actually like to study at the University of Oxford. I did take a gander at what it’s like to do a defense of a paper. Hopefully this story wound up being accurate. Or thereabouts.

   Also, the little research I’ve done on key events in ancient Greek history was thrown together from a bunch of different sources – mostly Wikipedia, along with some history websites from various schools. (Why lie?) I am far from the most knowledgeable person about the battles of Thermopylae and Marathon. I did some simple looking-up, and cobbled things together the best that I could.
