Summary
Professionally, George Lever has moved far beyond Sleep Token. ...But privately, they haven't let him pull away just yet.
And on the divine battlefield, as the Gods and their vessels plot, he's discovering just how trapped they all are.Chapter 3, "Ashen Grey", up now:
“Don’t remember the events. Just the feelings,” Vessel guided him. “What did it feel like?”
“Like…desecration. It smelled like rain dousing a wildfire. Felt like ice burning your skin.” IV shuddered, scratching at his eyelids. II held him closer, rubbing his side. “Sorry George,” the guitarist apologized, looking up at him. “I think I was still sort of in it when I woke up, and usually I can…” IV swallowed. “I can see Sleep on the others, sort of like a residue. But I couldn’t see Him on you. Thought you were an intruder.”
“It’s fine,” George lied, contemplating how he could become an intruder in his own house. III caught the distress in the producer’s eyes, and he was about to address it when Vessel cut across the room again, slamming the front door shut so hard that the wood split.
