Chapter Text
Denki remembered the sound of Bakugou's laugh — rare, sharp, and real — when he'd short-circuited the dorm lights on accident. Kirishima had doubled over beside him, red hair shaking as he wheezed, "You're ridiculous, bro," before tugging Denki close anyway.
Back then, everything was easy. They'd fall asleep tangled together after long patrols, Bakugou's arm draped protectively over them both, Kirishima's heartbeat steady against Denki's back.
It felt like something solid. Something electric.
Three hearts, one current.
Denki really thought it would last.
He didn't realize currents could fade — or that sometimes, they burned out before you even noticed the lights going dim.
