    After barely surviving a dragon attack, Cassandra finds herself waylaid from her journey to Kirkwall, and instead at the mercy of a clan of Dalish elves. The Clan decides to take her in, at the behest of one of their hunters, Trilan Lavellan, but not all agree with his decision. Cassandra grows close to the hunter as she learns more of Dalish life. But she knows her time here is temporary, and she will inevitably return to her duties as the Right Hand of the Divine.
