Rin, Gudako, Hakunon and Aventurine - the four names of the Masters who have contracted with the Archer Servant by the name of EMIYA (or Nameless, in Hakunon’s case).

After their respective Holy Grail Wars had ended, the four masters had congregated together and became close friends.

Close enough friends to make jokes in regards to their favourite hero of justice every once in a while.

They were tight knit.

Tight, a word you’d never think someone would use when it came to Masters who were contacted with the same servant at one point in time, as some Masters would fight to see who's better fit as said Servant’s “favorite Master”.

It seemed the four of them all got together and formed a close friendship.

Guess who found our servant buying groceries while also picking fights with “Blue Lancers” and “Golden Kings”, he calls them 😂

And so, the four masters met up at the Sweet Dreams Cafe on the scheduled 1pm Tuesday to do some party discussion. The four masters had found themselves a diner booth at the cafe where they’d sit and plan their thank you party for their Servant Archer. That alongside waiting for their orders to be delivered to their diner booth table.

“Let me start this off by giving everyone here a rundown of what I believe we need to host this party,” Hakunon starts by pulling out a notepad with a list written down, pointing details out with a pen, “There’s a few things I’d like to point out: the venue we’ll be hosting Archer’s surprise thank you party at, the decorations, food, music, the date of the event, and how we’ll bring Archer into the venue.”

“W-Wow Senpai, these notes you’ve written are so detailed!” Gudako compliments Hakunon’s notes, with the brunette master blushing.

“U-Ummm… thank you…” Hakunon says a bit nervously, “I-I’ve fought battles on the Moon’s Holy Grail War before, so I’ve always had to strategically plan outcomes no matter what. This party for Archer is no different, seeing as he means a lot to me and everyone here...”

“Miss Moon Cell Victor here really is someone we should count on for preparing a battle strategy if another Holy Grail War commences,” Aventurine jokes, “Not that we need another, though.”

“Don’t jinx us, Aventurine,” Rin says, slightly annoyed at the blonde man before getting back to business, “However, you may be the one with the best networking skills that can acquire us the venue for the party. Do you think you can handle looking for a venue?”

“Hmmm, I’ll get that covered for you all. I’ve had my eyes on this one venue where the guitarist Mydeimos and his band The Blazing Lions usually perform at. It's called “The Memorial Venue”. It’s got a stage for performing and is a great venue for hosting parties and events like concerts. I’ll give them a call and pay extra if need be.”

“I’m sorry, I still can’t when you mention that guy Mydeimos without thinking of Gilgamesh,” Gudako cringed, “I’ve seen photos of him and always wondered, is he Gilgamesh’s offspring?!”

“Honestly, true.” Rin commented before letting Hakunon continue.

“Okay, moving on then. Next we have decorations! I think Gudako might be our best option in finding those,” Hakunon’s eyes darted to Gudako, “You can handle that, right?”

“Of course! I have enough funds to get the decorations, now that I have stable income from my job. Crimson red and silver balloons alongside some red or grey streamers should suffice! We can also have table decorations inspired by Archer, like his weapons Kanshou and Bakuya!”

“That could work… a bit cringy if you have the duel swords he fights with as decorations on the table for people attending his party to see.” Aventurine commented.

“Look, I lowkey have no idea what else represents Archer! And no, we are not putting a frying pan in the middle as a decoration piece on every table for the people attending this party for him! He’s the star of the party, not cooking mama!”

“Alright, alright… fair point,” Aventurine said, “Kanshou and Bakuya as mini tabletop decorations should suffice.”

“With that settled,” Hakunon said pointing her pen at Rin, “Do you think you could handle the food prep, Rin? I’ve heard you used to cook food with Archer’s past self before. It would be great if you could handle both the dessert making and catering the food if so.”

“I-I have cooked with him before… and it was very pleasant…” Rin said gently with a small blush on her face before taking a breather to compose herself more elegantly to her three friends, “I can do that for everyone here. I can bake some red velvet cupcakes with Sakura’s assistance and get the food catered with some help. I’m sure I know what his past self likes from Sakura too, so I’ll get some insight from her.”

“Alright! That leaves the music, the date of the party, and how we can convince Archer into being dragged to the surprise party in secret,” Hakunon said before turning her notepad to another page that was filled with notes, “For the music, I think we as Archer’s Masters should play a song for him on stage. You know, the stuff that bands do…”

“You mean… becoming a band and playing music!?” Rin said wide eyed.

“Well… y-yeah... I was hoping to go up there and play! I-I could be the bassist, since I don't want to steal the spotlight from you three…” The brunette girl says.

“That’s not a bad idea, Hakunon Senpai! Plus, I’ve seen Aventurine play the guitar one time as promotional material for an event last year.” Gudako commented.

“It was a spectacle, I’ll say that,” Aventurine said, nodding in confidence, “Let’s make this happen then, we’ll make it an event he won’t forget!”

“Of course we are! We’re his Masters after all,” Gudako said, radiating Aventurine’s charismatic confidence, “Anyways, drums would be so fun to play! My friend Mash taught me some of her drumming skills for a Grand Carnival event we had back at Chaldea.”

“That means I shall be on the piano… that sounds…. refined and suitable for me.” Rin says.

“You very much fit the role, Miss Tohsaka. You are a refined young lady, the keyboard would definitely fit your vibes well.” 

“I appreciate you saying that, Mr. Aventurine.” Rin says, “I-I’ll be up to the challenge and take on the piano then!” 

“Wow Senpai, I never thought this would work out for us!”  Gudako says with her usual happy go lucky smile.

“Well… thanks Gudako. I’m kind of nervous about performing, but I know that Nero and Elizabeth Bathory will teach me the ropes to playing bass! I’m glad that Rin and Mister Aventurine are also on board with us doing all of this as well.”

“It's no problem Miss Moon Cell Master! We should prepare for this event in a month’s time. I can get in contact with the infamous Galaxy Ranger Boothill, to help us drag Archer to the venue.” Aventurine pointed out.

“I still have Lancer Cu’s contacts! I can get those for you guys too!” Gudako said with a smile.

“I-I also have Lancer Cu’s contacts!” Rin points out, “I can help out with convincing him to help us alongside Gudako.”

“Hee, hee! For sure Rin! I’m super close with all the Cu Chulainn variants!” Gudako said smiling.

As they were finishing up planning things out, their orders came through.

“Your first batch of orders,” a waitress with light purple hair and a Halovian halo atop her head appears with the first batch of table orders carried out, “And the four of you, I overheard your conversation about planning a party for Archer. Good luck with the plans!”

“Well well, if it isn’t the lovely Miss Robin! What are you doing here?” Aventurine says with a cunning smile on his face.

“Shhhh, Mr. Aventurine. I’m undercover,” the halovian singer says quietly, “Just doing a few errands for my friends here at the diner. But hearing your plan for your previous Servant Archer has made me so excited to hear.”

The halovian singer passes down an ice cream to the brunette haired Master, with Robin saying a small and sweet “enjoy”. Hakunon’s eyes widened at her ice cream sundae and three cake rolls she ordered were served to her by Miss Robin.

“Looks like someone here’s a sweet tooth.” Aventurine says, directing his comment to Hakunon.

“Y-Yeah… I’m really into cake rolls, so I ordered three of them as well as an ice cream sundae with birthday cake bits in them…” Hakuno says, blushing a little in embarrassment.

“Well eat up, Miss Moon Cell Master. You’ve done us a solid!” Aventurine says with a smile.

And so, the plan for the party commenced. The four Masters used the month to practice a few songs together at Mydeimos’ music shop, which had rehearsal rooms above the ground floor of his shop. Rin and Aventurine had called up both Lancer Cu and Boothill respectively to see if they were down to help them with their plans secretly.  

And soon, the month passed by and the group (alongside some help) were prepping for the big surprise party for Archer.

Balloons of crimson red and silver colours reminiscent of Archer were decorated nicely around the venue Aventurine had rented. The lights were shining on the stage where the four Masters were to perform. A group got help from a few people with the placement of things in the venue, with one of the people who helped out with early morning decorations surprisingly being Mydeimos.

“Thanks for helping us carry the instruments here and for your support decorating the place, man!” Aventurine said to Mydei, pulling his hand up to offer a handshake to him.

“Hmph, no worries. All I expect is that this party you make won’t cause a ‘Project X’ complaint happening all over when you invite all the people coming.” Mydei says to Aventurine, taking the handshake with a rare smile on his face.

“Heh, not to worry. I’ve got everything under control.” Aventurine says with confidence.

“Uhhh… is it just me or does this Mydei guy look a lot like Gilgamesh even when seeing him in person?” Hakunon asked Rin and Gudako as she pointed to Mydei, her voice low.

“That Mydei guy really does look like Gilgamesh!” Rin said with shock, her voice a bit more raised than Hakunon’s which made Mydei’s attention much clearer.

“Gilga- who now?” Mydei’s eyes looked clearly upset and confused as he walked over to the three girls.

“Yeah. Man’s a faker, that’s something Gil would say to him,” Gudako joked before eyeing Mydei who was clearly upset, “No offense.”

Mydei just sighs before crossing his arms and muttering, “None taken. Just… enjoy your party.”

The Kremnoan prince just walks away, an “HKS” mutter could be heard from him.

“You three had the nerves to aggravate the guy who cooks really good food and respects women as well as children just because he has the face of a man you know is so arrogant… such a shame, you guys could’ve been friends…” Aventurine pointed out to the three girls.

“Not with him looking like a guy who literally calls everyone ‘mongrels’, harasses Saber, and thinks of himself as better than everyone.” Rin argues.

Aventurine sighs, “Mydei’s not… you know what, I’m not even going to argue. You three are brutal.”

“For a good reason, Aventurine! We have standards, to say in the nicest way possible.” Rin says.

“Yeah, pfft. Standards.”

Archer wasn’t expecting himself to be roped into another of Lancer Cu’s antics. His frenemy (if he would say in the nicest way possible) had asked him a favor, to help him taste test a few new food dishes that he was planning on implementing at ‘The Celtic Rum’ bar. What he didn’t expect when accepting the favor was for him to be blindfolded, with ropes tied to his arms and legs right when he entered into Lancer Cu’s house. It didn’t help that Boothill also showed up to help Lancer carry him into the backseat of the blue haired man’s car.

“May I ask whose idea was it to blindfold me, tie my arms and limbs with rope, and hold me hostage!?”

“Will ya shut your forkin’ mouth up for once, Archer?! We’re gettin’ to the good part!” Boothill’s mechanical voice had said, “Oi, Lancer! How long’s the drive to the area?”

Drive? To what area, exactly?!

And here Archer thought he was going to be staying at Cu’s house to do the taste testing, not be whisked away somewhere shady.

“We’re gettin’ there soon, partner! Securing that Red Archer is all that matters!” 

After an abrupt stop. Lancer and Boothill seem to pull out of the car and drag him out from the back seat.

“Mr. Lancer, Mr. Boothill. You two have arrived,” Archer could hear the sound of someone unfamiliar, “Is he here?”

“The star of the show, got ‘em right here!” Archer heard Boothill reply.

“You can come in,” the unfamiliar voice says.

After a few minutes of being dragged blindfolded by Lancer and Boothill, Archer could feel himself sit on a chair. Archer could hear small whispers, which made even more annoyed.

“I swear to god, there better be a good reason as to why I’m being dragged into-”

Once the blindfold on his face came off and the ropes Boothill tied were free from his body, Archer's face filled with annoyance turned into a face of shock. His eyes drift up, where the first thing he could see was his previous Master Mister Aventurine on stage with a guitar in hand next to a microphone. Archer’s eyes then drift to his other Masters: Hakunon on bass, Rin on keyboard, and Gudako on drums. Archer’s eyes also look up to see the guitarist of The Blazing Lions Mydeimos on stage supporting on rhythm guitar. Although Archer didn’t necessarily want to see him up on stage (as the Kremnoan prince’s appearance unintentionally screamed his worst fears being King Gilgamesh of Uruk), he understood why he’d be assisting the four since the man was well versed in music.

“It seems that our guest of honor has finally graced our presence,” Aventurine had announced on the microphone with a charming smile on his face, “Although we should’ve given better explanation as to why you were taken here, it’s obvious that all of us are honoring you for your hard work and deeds!”

“And so, we as your favorite Masters have prepared all of this for you, Archer! Turn around, there’s many people here.” Hakunon said.

Archer did as his Moon Cell Master said and turned around to see. The people surrounding the room he was in were cheering all around. Archer's eyes turned around to see familiar faces all around.

“And so…” Rin and Gudako both said before the four Masters could announce…

“Thank you for your act of service to us, our Hero of Justice Archer!” 

The words are said by all four of Archer’s Masters on stage, with Mydeimos playing a catchy guitar riff by the end of their shout out. 

The people surrounding the room he was in were cheering.

And soon, the five start playing a cover of the song “Battle Scars” by Paradise Fears.

*Author’s sidenote: Picture the song “Battle Scars” being sung by Aventurine, who is also playing electric guitar. Meanwhile Rin plays keyboard, Hakunon plays bass guitar, Gudako plays the drums, & Mydeimos plays rhythm guitar*

Archer’s eyes are furrowed down, a small bit of emotion in Archer’s chest… that emotion of… Belonging… Compassion… Companionship…

Mr. Aventurine starts to sing… it’s a spectacle to behold… 

He remembered hearing the song before… but hearing Mister Aventurine sing it… how spectacular…

“THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER AMAZING SPOOK PERFORMANCE AT THE MEMORIAL VENUE, GUITARIST MYDEIMOS!” A man with a white hair wearing The Blazing Lions hoodie and sunglasses on his face says, to everyone’s shock.

“HKS, PHAINON! I KNOW IT'S YOU STALKING ME FOR MY APPEARANCES OUTSIDE OF MY CONCERTS!” Mydei says through the microphone next to Aventurine, with the crowd in shock,  “If you want to see The Blazing Lions perform in person, you’re clearly not in the right place! This is a party for Archer, you dummy!”

Mydei sighs, looking at the group he performed with saying, “I’ll handle him… just enjoy your party,” before getting off stage to confront the white haired hooded man in a fit of rage which shocked the crowd, “Phainon, you get back here! You had no right to know I’d be performing here as you were never invited!”

“Damn, I never knew some random guy showed up,” Cu chuckled, coming up to Archer just to give him a firm pat on the back.

“Ain’t no way, partner. Had no fudgin’ idea we allowed this many people that some rando came crawlin’ in,” Boothill followed behind Cu, smiling and directing his head up to the stage for Archer to look,  “Well now partner, get up on stage! Your Masters are waitin’ on ya.”

Archer’s direction went to his four Masters, who each had a smile on their faces.

“Rin… Hakunon… Gudako… Mister Aventurine…” Archer got emotional at that moment, becoming a bit more vulnerable now seeing them.

All four of them… they were his to protect… His Masters… his company until the end of time…

“Archer, t-thank you for coming here… y-you know you didn’t have to come… but still did…” Rin said.

That was his first Master, Rin Tohsaka. Too stubborn for her own good, but still gave him that second chance at life with her magic pendant back when he was Shirou Emiya during the Fifth Holy Grail War.

“Even though the three of them still rival me in terms of Master-Servant relationship with you, I still want you to remember me from a distant war… one where you saved me…”

His second Master, Hakunon Kishinami. The one from the Moon, whom he respects her goals, an NPC with the will to survive.

“You really put yourself out there for us, Archer! I know that me, your previous Masters, and even Mash are happy that you’ve been of great service to us!”

His third Master, Ritsuka Fujimaru. Humanity’s Last Master fighting to preserve human order. He was a guardian to this Master who bore the duty of changing the past, present and future.

“Archer, you’ve taken this opportunity to be with us. You’ve gambled for all four of our lives. It’s an honor to still have you here!”

His fourth Master, Mister Aventurine. One of the ten stone hearts of the IPC, a boy whose luck was from his special eyes blessed by the goddess Gaiathra, someone who gambled his life to be alive on this planet.

“Everyone…” Archer smiled, a rare smile from a man with such a tamed face.

The four Masters came together and hugged their tall Hero of Justice. Lancer Cu, Boothill, and everyone below watching the stage presence clapped. 

Such a well deserved tribute to such spectacular heroic spirit!
