Still in pure heart castle near the barracks is mao mao who is currently sharpening his spear.
Only to hear someone calling him which he glances to the sound and sees badgerclops followed by adorabat.
Which made him smile at seeing them again after unintentionally gone for a day or two.
As badgerclops is near mao mao he spoke "sup mao mao", mao mao replied "hey badgerclops".
Followed by a awkward silence as both of them are trying come up with something to say they mentally thank adorabat who broke the silence by yelling "hi! Mao mao where did you go! Badgerclops was looking all over for you".
Mao mao perk up abit before replying "really", adorabat continued "for a minute", mao mao moodly replied with a frown "oh" with his ears lowered.
Badgerclops chuckled awkwardly with his paw scratching the back of his neck before saying "yeah~".
Mao mao gloomly hummed before closing his eyes and sighed before saying "so... why are you here?".
Badgerclops replied "the king called us saying that we could help to fight against the fallen lord", adorbat let out a loud "yep!", with her eyes closed followed with a bright smile.
Mao mao's eyes widen before saying "wait you work with the king!?".
Badgerclops merely shrug making mao mao glare at him before saying with a gloved paw on his face "nevermind".
Before the awkward silence settles right back mao mao spoke "anyway since that you are now here".
He pulls out the RLS before handing them to badgerclops and continued "could you help me recharge my device".
Badgerclops took it replying "sure... wait~", he than looks and mao mao to see him looking sideways avoiding his gaze.
He continued "did it run out of juice while midair?", he hears a soft reply "yeah".
Badgerclops look concern and said "dude did you land onto someone?", mao mao nodded lightly.
Badgerclops continued "did you apologize to him or her", mao mao replied sheepishly while scratching the back of his head "um the person i landed on is my older sister".
Badgerclops gasp before replying with a worried tone "are both of you ok?".
Mao mao replied "yeah were both... ok" he turn his gaze away from badgerclops to be reminded of his sisters crying face.
Before they could resume talking adorabat pipes in "whoa this place looks messed up... i like it!" She finished in a happy tone.
Mao mao was reminded of his training awhile ago and quickly said with a smirk "hey since your here why don't we spar i want to see if both of you are ready for the fight ahead".
With a similar smirk from badgerclops raise his robotic arm to suddenly change into a energy cannon before saying with a chuckle "sure" followed by adorabat with her signature smirk and holding her smoke bombs.
Nearby are all of mao's sisters having a conversation among themselves while walking.
Bruhilde spoke "so is it me or does our little brother have a pouch with your color minori?" As she looks at minori.
Kowarenai piped in "oh yeah i wonder why too" while looking at minori as well.
Minori replied "i don't know... maybe he just bought a pouch with my color or for something else".
Ziyou piped in with a pout on her face "i think he likes you more than me".
Zhihui hummed before saying "i don't think that is the reason as to why he has a pouch with her color ziyou".
Before they could continue talking about their little brothers colored pouch they see a crowd of both guards and staff alike looking at something ahead.
Kowarnai spoke "i wonder what their looking at" in a curious tone.
What awaits them is a shocking surprise as they see mao mao with two others in the center of the training grounds.
They see mao mao welding a spear with a blue ribbon attached near the sharp point of the spear.
The badger with its robotic arm cannon pointing at mao mao and a bat carrying smoke bombs.
Ziyou approaches towards a guard among the crowd and said "um what are they doing?".
The guard replied not taking its eyes away "their sparring for training".
While ziyou questioned the guard minori glances up and sees both the fennu family and the chengbao family are watching from above in a balcony.
In her thoughts "it seems they are interested" before glaring towards a fennu wolf who is focused on her little brother "i don't like the way that wolf is looking at my brother".
She turn her gaze and see their parents are also watching beside a boar.
She felt a tap on her shoulder which made her look and see kowarenai.
She lean abit closer to her and whispered "are you curious on how our lil bro fights?".
Minori merely nodded at her before looking back at her little brother.
Mao mao was waiting for either adorabat or badgerclops to make a move knowing one of them may slip up when impatient.
And he was right when badgerclops shot a energy blast at him and mao mao quickly roll to the side.
Than adorabat threw several smoke bombs at mao mao providing cover for badgerclops.
Mao mao quickly took out his bangles and with quickness block a energy shot with the bangles.
After slipping them on he grips his spear tightly and somersault out of the smoke to see badgerclops cannon pointing at him.
Mao mao quickly block the energy shot with the bangles and charges towards him.
Kowarenai whispered to her sisters "those bangles have my color", brunhilde also whispered "same for the spear".
Ziyou pouted with narrowed else "no fair" she whispered.
Zhihui and minori merely shook their heads seeing ziyou behaving like this.
Adorabat decided to throw smoke bombs in front of mao mao hoping to cover badgerclops.
But mao mao stabbed his spear into the ground and lifts himself than lands right in front of badgerclops.
Badgerclops quickly change his robotic arm his hand and tried to land a punch with it.
Mao mao use a technique from kowarenai to backhand block badgerclops fist than slides underneath him and toss badgerclops over him.
Kowarenai gave a shock look on her face recognising one of her techniques during their training with their father.
The rest of the sisters took note of that but resumes watching the sparring.
As badgerclops recovered he transform his robotic arm back into the energy cannon.
As for mao mao he spotted the spear near badgerclops and also adorabat above him.
Adorabat threw down smoke bombs onto mao mao which made him evade them preventing him from planning ahead.
Badgerclops uses this to aim his cannon and slowly charges it up for a powerful shot.
Mao mao glances at badgerclops and dashes towards his spear.
He grabs it than points it at badgerclops before entering a stance.
Brunhilde widen her eyes but remain calm as for kowarenai she whispered "is it me or is that your stance brunhilde?".
Brunhilde replied softly "yes but... it is similar than mine i wonder how he knew the stance".
Zhihui whispered "i do vaguely remember after we recieve our golden weapons he was there watching us train".
The sisters look at each other before focusing back at their little brother.
Than kowarenai suddenly whispered "do you think he learn your magic tricks zhihui".
Zhihui replied softly "we haven't seen him for years but there is a possibility that he can use magic".
They than see mao mao charging towards badgerclops with such speed that adorabat couldn't support badgerclops.
Mao mao struck badgerclops on the side with the blunt part of the spear.
Knocking badgerclops down before pointing the spear at him.
Silence followed before quickly badgerclops hit the spear to the side with his arm and point his robotic arm and shot mao mao knocking him into the wall behind mao mao.
With concern the sisters were about to check him only to see him getting up and sprinted towards badgerclops again.
This time going for the robotic arm, mao mao glances to see adorabat is about to cover badgerclops.
Mao mao jump towards the side of the wall and leap into the air before grabbing adorabat.
Since she is a child he simply put her near the wall saying "your out", adorabat let out a sad "aww~" with her head down.
Badgerclops yelled while smiling "don't be sad adorabat later we can get some ice cream!".
Adorbat perk up and yelled "yay!" With her biggest smile on her face and her eyes closed.
Both mao mao and badgerclops chuckled before their face change back to a more serious look.
Before either of them could continue they hear a cough nearby making both of them to glance at the source, to which saw a crowd of guards and nelson with them staring.
Nelson spoke "as much as both of you to keep sparring but we need to train to you know".
Mao mao sheepishly looks at the opposite direction with his gloved paw scratching his head.
Badgerclops simply shrugs before taking out a snack out of his pouch and took a bite before walking.
The guards came out and started to take out their weapons to train.
Mao mao than looks up and sees his parents both looking at him same for his sisters.
He feels strange the way they look at him and it is making him uncomfortable since his never been the focus of their attention.
Without another second he quickly walks towards the corridor but the one where his sisters are opposite from.
As for his sisters they clearly see his uncomfortable look before walking away from them which emotionally hurt them.
Its true that their little brother may have forgiven them but that doesn't mean that the past suddenly dissapear.
The same could be felt from his parents the most in the mao family that suffered from this would be amy mao who can only look with regret and sadness in her eyes.
Alexander spoke "oh is the cat that got my yougest daughter interested", shin mao replied "thats my son alexander".
He widen his eyes before looking back at mao mao and replied "huh... i feel bad for all the males in your family shin mao".
Shin mao replied "his my youngest and only son", alexander gave a shocked look before replying "bloody unbelievable now i feel bad for calling him a kid... i used to be picked on by my older cousins back in my homeland".
He than turn towards the hog and spoke "hey bruno whats ya take on the lad".
Bruno hummed before replying "his got spirit that is for sure", alexander replied "aye second that".
