Summary
Over the years, Eames has made his interest in Arthur no secret, and most people assume that Eames has been in lust since first sight. But really, his first thought was, “Why did you bring a kid straight from basic?”
Arthur, all gangly legs and in a belt that had to have an extra hole punched in it, bristled visibly in his corner but said nothing. Eames didn’t notice it at the time, but in the aftermath of everything, it makes sense to him that Arthur stood alone in his corner, that the other three members of the team stood, attentive, on the other side of the room. In the moment, Eames just chalked it up to Arthur’s clearly young age.
