Summary
Slayers have been around for as long as vampires, although they are much better equipped and knowledgeable now. They also aren’t just bloodthirsty hunters anymore. As vampires have become more sophisticated and more humane, vampire slayers have backed off. They only target vampires who become a problem. In fact many slayers have befriended many vampires over the last few centuries. These friendships help both sides, because vampires are more than happy to assist slayers when a rogue vampire is threatening their existence.
A problem vampire is why you find yourself in the city of Halazia. A particularly difficult vampire has caused a problem for the Society of Slayers (SoS). Several slayers have tried their hand at tracking this vampire only to come up short or wind up dead. So, the SoS has sent its most talented, and most feared, slayer.
