Summary
Her heart pounded and she grasped her shirt above her chest in shock. Could it be? She took several unsteady steps towards him. She had to be sure before calling out. But it was him, right? The raven wavy hair, loose blue shirt and dark pants, and a lightsaber clasped to his side. She broke into a run, and he turned to face her.
Rey moved toward him, breathless, heart racing. His eyes mirrored her own shock, and the world seemed to shrink around them until all that existed was the charged space between them.
“Ben?” She whispered.
“Rey,” he breathed in disbelief.
Rey swallowed deep, trying to push the sudden lump in her throat down. “Ben, what’s going on? Where are we? I thought I was dreaming, but– how are you here?” She froze, fear suddenly clasping her heart. “A-are you really here?”
