Chapter Text
“Hikari!”
Down she went into Max’s awaiting arms.
“Fear not. She is merely sleeping.” Whis told him. “The young woman has been through much in such a short time, however she will endeavor as all you beings of light do.”
“Tell me one thing, Max.” The Elder Kai finally spoke to him. “What is this evil that is plaguing us?”
Max frowned then he sighed.
“I don’t know.”
“Oh I am so downtrodden you’ve forgotten me? I’m almost insulted.”
Raven appeared in the skies above, beside him the possessed forms of Goku and Vegeta, their auras a dark mess of blackness and death. As Bulma, engraved upon their chests was a dark hole of nothingness.
“I thought you said no evil could get here!” Gently placing Hikari’s form on the ground, Max rose to his feet.
“I did indeed.” Elder Kai stated. “Yet, remember this evil is not of our realm and therefore...”
“I can go anywhere I damn well please!” Raven cackled. “Oh how grand it is to be from one of the two great realms!”
Max eyed the man floating above them. “You’re from the realm of darkness!”
“Not fully, mind you.” Raven stated. “Just, partially in a sense. Now,” He held out his hand. “Kindly hand over the key or do I need to destroy this place as well?”
“This is bad.” Shin worried. “If he has control over Vegeta and Goku…”
“That is the price for being so strong.” Raven remarked. “The darkness will want to recruit you. Time and again it will try and get into your soul, into your heart and when it finally does…” He gestured to the two strong individuals behind him. “Nothing stands in your way. Now if you please.”
“You aren’t getting near Hikari!!!” Max held out his hand and his shield appeared there. “Not while I’m still alive!”
“Oh really?” Raven’s smirk widened. “I was hoping you would say that.”
A snap of his finger and all out war began. Beerus took it upon himself to handle the likes of Vegeta and Goku. He made to personally destroy them but it appeared they were immune to his destructive power. How could he destroy that which is immune to him?! Elder Kai and Shin took cover, taking Max and Hikari with them, the sleeping woman in Max’s strong hold.
“What will we do now?” Shin was a bundle of nerves. How were they going to stop Goku and Vegeta!? Beerus may be a god but he couldn’t last forever with those two! Especially now that they seemed to be immune to Beerus’ power!
“The only thing we can,” Elder Kai stated. “Survive until Hikari wakes.” He looked at Max and Shin. “Above all else, do NOT let that force come near the young woman. She is our only hope.”
Max stared down at Hikari’s form.
“Hikari, hurry!”
Beerus came crashing past them, a disturbing sight to see for no one was as strong as Beerus save for Zen-sama himself. Now that they thought about it, would Zen be able to handle this nightmare?
“Not much of a destruction god are you?” Raven touched down with Vegeta and Goku in tow. “I’m sure you know by now these two are Nothings. Their wills are completely gone. What makes you think you can defeat that which is already gone?” Raven turned his head and noticed the little group behind a large rock. “Ah...There you are.” He pointed their way. “Kill them.”
All watched as Goku and Vegeta held out their hands balls of energy began to form there. Where was Whis in all this? Who knew! All that mattered was they were about to be destroyed by two of the greatest mortals that ever lived.
The two blasts of power came towards the little group, Max immediately covering Hikari with his body while Shin stood between them and the blast, ready and willing to do what he could to stop it. The great light came, all shielding their eyes.
When it vanished all were still standing.
“So the little light finally wakes?”
Shin opened his eyes and there, standing before him was Hikari. In her hands was the great weapon of the light, an object he had only heard about in his Supreme Kai training. An object that could lock and unlock any door.
The Keyblade.
“Shut up Raven.” Hikari had a new lease on herself. She appeared stronger and more determined than before. Raven raised an eyebrow at this new Hikari.
“Now come on, little light.” He spoke to her. “All I want is the Keyblade.” He held out his hand to her. “Hand it to me and I will spare everyone.”
“I’m not stupid.” Hikari stared at him with sheer hatred. “Nor am I little.” She gripped her weapon. “This weapon belonged to my father and my mother so their power is mine as well!!!” Her body began to glow with a golden light. “And YOU, You are going to DEAL WITH IT!!!”
She was so quick it was hard to see her move. One moment she was standing on the ground and the next Raven’s chest had the keyblade buried within it.
“Go back to where you belong, evil creature.” Hikari glared at Raven. “And leave my family alone!!!”
The blade was removed and as Raven’s form began to disintegrate, his scream filled the skies. Yet, surprisingly, he was not all gone...his form appeared below, unconscious and unmoving. The evil presence, apparently, had been stripped from his natural form.
With no one in control, the dark aura surrounding Goku and Vegeta vanished, their bodies falling to the ground with a sickening plop. Shin immediately went to their forms and was shocked to find that they were not all dead…
“They’re still alive!” He shouted. “Barely there, but they are still alive!”
“I see.” Elder Kai came forward. “Raven could not kill. Or rather, the entity controlling him could not kill. t makes sense in a way, seeing as that this evil is not from our realm of existence.”
His words held hope in Hikari’s heart. “Then that means…”
“It’s quite possible whatever Raven did on Earth has been wiped clean. Whoever he hurt there is most likely safe.” Elder Kai told her.
The Keyblade disappeared from Hikari’s hands. The adrenaline that had kept her up was starting to fade. Bulma wasn’t dead, she was safe. Safe! The sheer thought of it made her muscles relax, all tension gone. As she succumbed to exhaustion she heard Max say her name and a small whispered voice.
May your heart...Be your you guiding key...
