Chapter 1: Prank to Panic.

Bowser stood before princess Peach at the altar only in a white bow tie and hat as this was rushed with barely any guests. Peach stood in front of him in a white dress with a white veil and a mask over the lower half of her face or should I say his face. Luigi's thoughts bring him back to how this all started. How could he be falsely marrying the king of the Koopas!?
It was a rather boorish day in the mushroom kingdom. Peach was with her tailor being a purple toad getting a refresher on her measurements as she has been a lot more physical lately. Her long gloves on her arms have grown tight and with her regular encounters with Bowser's shenanigans, she didn't want any more of her skillfully crafted dresses to get ripped or dirty once again, plus she can't run off and change, or have more fight worthy clothing on underneath all the time.
As her tailor is finishing up with her measurements they say “Wow princess! You've bulked up a bit having to help out the boys more these days. Your measurements aren't far off from Luigi's!” she responds with a smile “thanks I thought my training had me strong enough all this time but I suppose I was always more of a stamina and dexterity type.” her tailor smiles back “it's kind of crazy to think of what Luigi would look like if he had on one of your dresses and a wig of yours.” Peach nods and has an idea, one that seemed harmless at the time to bring some fun to such a dull day, but one that would cause a soon to be domino effect of all sorts of events and discourse.
Luigi walks into the tailoring room “You asked to see me princess?” She smiles with excitement in her eyes and a hint of a scheming look on her face. “I have a great idea to prank Mario!” Luigi looks in curiosity and responds “I suppose it wouldn't be bad we haven't had much happen as of late. Do speak of your plan princess. She smirks and tells him her plan.

“It's too perfect!” Princess Peach exclaims in excitement and amusement as Luigi is dolled up with light makeup, a blonde wig, a crown replica, and her signature pink dress, with heels on his feet and a mask over the lower half of his face to cover his luxurious mustache. “Princess… I'm not so sure about this. I do look good, but do you believe we could fool my brother with this?” She responds with confidence “Absolutely, but if he sees through it we can always go and attempt to fool some toads of mine.” He nods and then asks “Why do you have wigs anyway?” she responds “My hair isn't perfect all day, every day. I'm a princess which also means I am in a rush so I still want to look presentable for my toads.” He nods once more “Now, how is this prank going to work?”

Luigi stands in the library waiting for Mario. He is nervous about this plan but he is determined to see it through just for harmless fun. Mario runs into the library out of breath “You have gotten a lot faster Peach” Luigi knows that princess Peach spoke with him first for the prank to commence even mimicking the mask and voice to align Luigi's impression better. Using the sick claim for the mask to make sense. Luigi speaks nervously with his best princess Peach impression “Maybe I didn't leave my book here, I can't seem to find it anywhere.” Mario responds “I'll help you find it Peach. I don't have a whole lot else to do today as well.” Luigi responds, trying his best to keep this act up. “Perhaps I left it in the kitchen? Could you please go check for me?” Mario responds “Of course Peach!” He walks out where he'll meet the real Peach in the kitchen next and he forgets that His brother calls the princess by her first name. He lets it go and rushes to the next spot which will be the garden.
Luigi waits in the garden for his brother, admiring the flowers and intricate work of her gardeners. He is distracted by it all not even noticing a certain koopa king suddenly appear behind him out of nowhere.

Bowser was on his ship as it was cloaked via magic on his way to the mushroom kingdom. He is making sure every preparation is perfect, getting her a white dress, and decent venue as some things in his castle could set her ablaze, some flowers, and of course getting a quick white hat and bow tie for himself not having a whole lot of time to plan but enough to make sure this is done much faster than the other times. In his mind ‘The sooner I marry her the less time that red nuance has to stop me!’
He hopped down from his ship to the garden trying to be sneaky as a 10 foot, dragon, turtle can be. Trying not to cause a scene just yet. He spots her by a flower bush. ‘She looks gorgeous as always with her perfect hair and dress; but why is she wearing a mask?’ He thinks to himself but quickly comes to the worrying conclusion that she must be sick. ‘She can't be sick when our wedding is tomorrow morning! I best get her inside my ship as soon as possible!’ he continues to think to himself as he begins to approach the false princess Peach.
Luigi looks behind him, a shiver running down his spine, and a sudden dread and fear washing over him as he stands before him… Bowser. Suddenly, Luigi is scooped up and swiftly tossed over his hulking shoulder. Just as everything was happening so fast Luigi sees Mario running outside still not in on the prank yet and worried. Mario yells “I'm coming Peach!” Bowser feels his blood boil a bit as Mario and his princess are on a first name basis he reaches up and grabs onto an invisible something which as it uncloaks shows to be the very thick wood and metal chained latter attached to his ship.
Mario is even more panicked as it starts flying up lifting them into the air. Luigi at first was kicking, squirming, and punching his shell trying to get out of his grasp, but as he realized the sudden elevation, wraps his arms around his neck for dear life. Bowser chuckles slightly not expecting this amusing reaction from his false princess Peach.
Luigi is terrified not only for his own safety but he knows his brother. He will surely come looking for him and he doesn't want him to get hurt nor the princess and yet he feels helpless so all he can do is scream “MARIIIOOOOO!” as he is lifted away the view of his brother and the real princess who had just rushed outside growing smaller and smaller in the distance.

“Wait PEACH!? HOW ARE YOU HERE I JUST SAW YOU BE TAKEN AWAY!?” Mario yells confused and concerned and Peach responds in a panic “I had an idea to prank you with Luigi's help but I never meant for Bowser to take him. I just wanted to bring some light to a dull day but it's entirely my fault.” She is panicking but doesn't raise her voice, just as anyone would expect from a royal under pressure. Mario is angry and wants to yell but he knows she didn't mean for this to happen. Yelling and blaming won't get him back, even so it'll take days on foot to get to Bowser's castle and the warp pipes could be too dangerous to take as they could just end up farther away or in worse danger.
“I'm going to get dressed and grab supplies while you get supplies and power ups. Bowser always took a bit of time preparing weddings when he took me all the time so, the sooner we leave the more time we have to find him and stop him.” Peach says, still shaken up but confidently. Mario nods and runs off into the castle grabbing what he can. He can only hope that Luigi can hold out for a while before Bowser finds out.
Chapter 2: Flutters Overnight.
Summary:
Luigi is contemplating his situation and trying to remain in disguise while trying to keep a level head about his brother, the princess, and these nervous flutters in his stomach. It must be due to the stress of the situation! Yeah, for sure because of stress! HA HA Ha ha...
Mario and Peach are working hard to get to Luigi in time before Bowser finds out the truth and are connecting along the way while being stressed over Luigi's safety as well as planning ahead with who may be in their way once they get there. Even so they need to rest and stay calm if they are to get Luigi back.

Hello! I was not expecting it to get this much attention over night, but I stuck to my word and completed chapter 2 way sooner than I thought I would and got more content in there than chapter 1! I will do my best to build up the story and pace it fairly. I still have no clue what I'm doing but I'm having a lot of fun writing this and I hope you'll have fun reading this as well!

Chapter Text
Bowser and Luigi are hoisted onto the ship in which Bowser gently puts his false princess down on a big, red, cushion. Bowser says to the disguised Luigi in a quiet but still intimidating tone “Now, my princess, we will be wed tomorrow morning, I got you a dress prepared, and a room to stay in for the time being until you'll start staying with me.” He speaks with confidence and a sharp toothy grin on his face.
Luigi is shaking in fear, afraid to speak. He wants to retaliate, yell no, attempt to escape, but he is wiser than that. They are too high up in the air and if he lets his identity slip too soon he could end up splattered on the ground below or burned to a crisp. There are too many things that could go poorly for him and all the koopas and goombas working tirelessly to keep the ship in the air.
Bowser, noticing the hesitation, the silence, and the shaking asks “My princess you must be very sick to be so shaken and quiet usually you'd be speaking and plotting of my downfall with confidence by now. Perhaps I could get you a blanket, or two, maybe something warm to eat or drink, I can't have anything be or go wrong on our wedding, it has to go perfectly.” He speaks a little louder with his chest puffed up in pride but his concern seems genuine which is certainly unexpected from what he's seen and heard of from Peach before. Luigi nods, knowing if he keeps this act going for long enough Mario and the real princess Peach will come to save him.

Peach had just got dressed in more travel worthy clothing with supplies and her hair tied up. Mario gathered as many power ups as he could carry on him and packed some in Peach's backpack. “Let's-ah-go!” Mario exclaims as their journey to reclaim Luigi begins.

Bowser returns to Luigi with some massive blankets in his arms and with a goomba next to him with a tray of a very odd looking black and red tea pot, with a matching tea cup, sugar cubes, honey, and milk that they are desperately trying to balance on their head. “Here you go my princess. I hope this will keep you well. I'd hate for you to still be sick by tomorrow even so I cannot delay it regardless” Bowser says still in an intimidating tone but it's a little quieter this time as he bundles him up in blankets and sits down close by but still at a comfortable distance.
Luigi has stopped shaking as he remembers how Peach told him about how these kidnappings usually go so he's a bit more confident that he won't be harmed and bundles up in the massive blankets that do appear to have a few holes in them. Most definitely from Bowser's shell spikes.
Bowser takes the tea tray and places it on a table in front of the cushion and demands a koopa to pour the tea for him as with his claws he can't get a good grip of the tea pot himself then he asks “Would you like some sugar, honey, or milk in your tea princess” Luigi nods and does his best Peach impression once again as if it fooled Mario it has to fool Bowser too. “Y-yes I'll have one sugar cube, a dash of honey, and a splash of milk.” He speaks softly, praying for his life it'll be enough.
Bowser nods “Jarnathan, make what she requested this instant.” The koopa nods terrified and starts making it how Luigi requested as Bowser speaks again “You really are sick. Your voice is a bit lower and it almost sounds like your higher pitch is forced… I'm sure the tea will help.” Luigi nods nervously and he almost feels his soul leave his body for a second as Bowser carefully picks up the coaster that the teacup was on and hands it to him. “Th-thank you.” Bowser is taken aback by her gratitude. She has never said ‘thank you’ to him before and it feels weird but he can help but feel his stomach flutter and a blush creep through the scales on his face, but he doesn't respond.
There is an awkward silence for a moment before Bowser speaks “Now I best make sure that red nuance and that green thorn lose my trail and we will arrive at the venue just before dawn so be sure to get some sleep. My underlings will bring you the dress, breakfast, and perfume before we land so the wedding can commence immediately after. So I hope you'll be dressed and ready by then. Also no tricks this time I'll have my army around the venue and my koopalings watching the ceremony so they can meet their new mother in all her gorgeous glory and their father finally claim the mushroom kingdom!” He speaks passionately, his expression and voice brimming with pride. Luigi thought ‘It's almost kind of cute… WAIT NO, NO, NOOO, NOT BOWSER, AM I INSANE HER HURTS PEOPLE AND KIDNAPS PRINCESS PEACH ALL THE TIME!’
Bowser sees the slight blush peaking from under the mask and smiles “I shall be off. You best finish your tea and get some rest, my princess. I'll see you at the altar tomorrow.” Bowser stands up and leaves him alone in the room on the ship. Luigi sighs the biggest sigh of relief of his life and takes the time to examine the room he is now stuck in. It only has a table, a mirror, and the massive cushion he is perched upon which should work fine as a bed for the night.
He begins to think ‘I suppose I'll need to sleep carefully as I can't mess up the wig. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to sleep at all since someone could walk in at any minute. I just need to hold out until Mario and the princess get to me. I just need to hold on…’
…..
“Um… Peach, are we sure this is a good plan?” Mario asks as they are both looking over a cliff with many large mushrooms below. Peach responds “It should be fine just make sure you jump far enough.” She takes a deep breath and jumps far, landing and bouncing from mushroom to mushroom. Mario is hesitant, but makes the leap soon after starting the long journey to Bowser's kingdom.
Night begins to fall upon the lands. Peach stops and turns to Mario “We should stop and sleep for the night.” Mario looks at her, flabbergasted at the thought. “W-We can’t just stop, my brother is in danger and it will take days to get there anyway but fewer if we keep going through the night!” Peach hears him but sighs “I know but as long as he looks like me he should be safe. Bowser never hurt me when he took me so have faith in your brother. As for the travel part you have a point but there is no doubt in my mind that we should rest and sleep. We can’t stop Bowser, his armies, and potentially his children as well if we are tired, sleep deprived, and hungry. We are as good as dead if we are not at our full strength.”
Mario is upset but she is right and speaks like a true ruler. She knows the weight and stress of these hard choices but he can tell she is worried. Not as much as him, yet she is trying to help so he takes a breath and calms himself for the time being. “You’re right. We should set up camp but I’m not sure I’ll be able to sleep.” Peach smiles trying to show kindness to calm him as she responds “I already thought ahead and brought a strong sleepy tea with me for you to drink while we eat! It should knock you out pretty quick and shouldn’t make you drowsy in the morning.” Mario is still tired and stressed but he can’t help but smile at the gesture. “I don’t know what I would've done without you here to help me.” She smiles and puts her backpack down on the grass. “Really what would you do without me?” She says in a jokingly cocky tone to lighten the mood. He chuckles, still shaken up but feeling better with her support.
Peach starts setting up a quick camp under a mushroom as Mario collects fire wood. Soon after the fire is lit and they eat before brewing the tea Peach brought. It’s a bit of an awkward silence until Mario says “I am really worried about him… we’ve never really… been separated like this.” Peach listens to the crackling fire, the brewing tea, and his words of worry. She responds “I will admit, I envy you two. I have always been on my own or with my toads. They are my family but it was always just… me. No parents other than them, no siblings to grow up with, and it was hard for a long time for me to feel like I belonged there. I didn’t know where I came from which was hard to always want to know where I was from or why I looked so different from all my toads… Then I met you and Luigi soon after. I know I belong with my toads but I feel like I… belong with you boys as well…”
“That was pretty cliche wasn’t it?” Mario smiles slightly “Just a bit but your toads need you for a while still I would think.” She nods “They do. I don’t think they’d be upset either if I wanted to leave for a while. Maybe once we get your brother back and Bowser under control… you could show me around the place you are from?” Mario stares at her with stars in his eyes before coming to his senses and responding “Y-Yeah! I would love to! I don’t think it will look as spectacular as this place but I think you’d like it.” She smiles and hands him a cup of tea. “Hey… Peach?” She looks at him “Yes?” He looks her in the eyes “Did you pack two sleeping bags? I was too focused and getting power ups to go get Lu, I didn't think to grab one.” She looks at her backpack and sees she only grabbed one. “Gosh, darn-it!”

Well chapter 2 is over! I hope this was a good place to end it as I have to come up with how I may continue this as well as manage the holidays. Regardless I should have the time to start working on chapter 3 here pretty soon. (Fingers Crossed) I will see you all again soon! So, have a lovely morning, afternoon, evening, or night my Beauts!<3
