Summary
A school prank meant to humiliate Max Jägerman goes wrong in a way no one expects and somehow, everything changes.
When Max backs off, the hallways grow quieter and the constant threat disappears. But no one quite trusts it, least of all Richie Lipschitz, who’s spent years on the receiving end of Max’s cruelty. Change doesn’t erase the past, and it definitely doesn’t prepare either of them for the day Richie goes into heat in the middle of class and Max is the alpha called to help.
