Work Text:

The alleyway smelled like wet stone and rusty pipes - sharp and unpleasant. Not exactly Tamsy's preferred location to meet, but it was empty and far enough from the main city square to be away from any prying eyes or ears. Tolerable at best.

He glanced upward, irritation flickering across his features as a lone light above sputtered and buzzed, casting erratic shadows against the brick. Dramatic and oh so mysterious, exactly a place he'd imagine Zodyl hand-picking. With a quiet click of his tongue, he stepped past the pool of unstable light and deeper into the dark, boots echoing faintly as he approached the dead end.

Zodyl was already there, leaning against a wall with arms crossed. The raider was silent. As always. Still as a stone statue, not even a greeting leaving his lips. Though the intense look Tamsy got when he approached spoke volumes. Most would've cowered under the dark glare, but Tamsy wasn't exactly most people, was he?

"How in the world did you lose the boots?" he greeted, pleasantly. With just the right amount of teasing behind the sentence, not overly nerve-grating, but pointed enough to stick.

Tamsy stopped his step just out of Zodyl's touch. Close enough to make a point. To matter. Their height difference made him look up at the leader a little, but Tamsy didn't particularly mind.

Zodyl didn't answer or move for a good minute, just kept his eyes on Tamsy. Priding himself on being patient enough to let things fall into place by themselves, Tamsy felt a little annoyed still at the lack of response from the other.

"You're getting a little sloppy, Zodyl," he quipped with a polite smile, placing a hand on Zodyl's crossed arm. "No need to be so tense! Just stating the obvious."

As expected, Zodyl finally moved at that at least, uncrossing his arms with a glare and yanking the front of Tamsy's collar roughly. Tamsy chuckled at that, not phased, although he did tighten his hold on Mishra's sleeve where his hand still was left untouched.

"The boots are now with the cleaners. At your disposal," he growled, and Tamsy quirked a brow at that.

"Not exactly what we agreed on though, was it?" Tamsy hummed, feeling the other's grip at his throat roughening. It was a bit of a hindrance to breathe properly, but what was mostly on Tamsy's mind was the fact that he will need to iron his shirt again.

"I'm sure you can keep an eye on them," the brunette mumbled in response, using his grip to manhandle Tamsy to a wall.

Straight to the point as always, Tamsy thought, feeling his back roughly hit the wall and he was caged between a hot body and cold cement. He didn't fight it, pliant under the other's grasp.

"Mm, as if there's not enough of things for me to worry about already back there," he said, slight annoyance in his tone.

Dark eyes met his again, and the grip on the front of his uniform was gone, Zodyl releasing him to shift down onto his knees.

"I highly doubt you worry about anything," Zodyl grinded out from below, shifting a little to get more comfortable. The other's movements were mechanical, practical even. As was usual.

Then the glare was gone as Zodyl's deft fingers started to reach for the blonde's pants, and Tamsy sighed, casting his eyes to the blinking street light above, own fingers absently making their way into Zodyl's hair.

"How unkind," Tamsy muttered to the flickering light, with no heat. "And here I thought you'd care about how I'm faring."

Their eyes met again for a brief second, black pools of ink, empty of any emotion, digging into Tamsy's own. Tamsy didn't know what the look conveyed, but offered Zodyl a small smirk nonetheless. The leader flicked his eyes down again at that with a grunt, finally pulling Tamsy out of his briefs without a care in the world. When calloused fingers touched naked skin, Tamsy couldn't help but flinch with a shiver that went right down his spine.

"I do care," Zodyl grumbled, although it was said with such nonchalance that Tamsy fully expected a 'but' after it, which, surprisingly, did not arrive.

He opened his mind to quip something among the lines of 'oh really?', but was quickly shut up when his dick was engulfed in soft heat without preamble. All that left his lips was a whine and he scrambled against the wall, pulling one hand out of Zodyl's strands to balance himself a bit panicky. He appreciated the enthusiasm, but wow was it hard to keep up with it sometimes.

"They... ugh," Tamsy tried, words getting stuck in his throat as a curious tongue swirled around the piercing on the head of his dick. Zodyl pulled away for a thankful second, licking his lips and throwing a glance up at Tamsy, as if to say 'go on'. "They're going to go to the information broker in a couple of days," Tamsy finished his sentence, pace of the words slow, mindful how his chest was heaving from the pleasure.

"For?" Zodyl asked, sticking out his tongue to lick up the underside slowly and purposefully. Tamsy's fingers tightened on the other's raven hair in response, a small moan escaping his lips.

"To find out where I hid the girl," Tamsy murmured, and was rewarded with Zodyl's mouth swallowing him whole, making him keen and throw his head back against the wall. "And... and to find out," Tamsy swallowed, feeling cheeks hollow out around his length. It was difficult to speak, a bit. "...about the choker maker."

Fingers then circles around the base where Zodyl's mouth couldn't reach, and the other kept up an expertly quick tempo, bobbing his head without Tamsy needing to lead him along, grip on the other's hair rough, but rather limp. It felt like drowning in tar, with the way the pleasure made Tamsy's thighs tremble, the darkness of the alleyway engulfing his thoughts, and Mishra shifting its usual appearance slowly with black smoke that swam up in Tamsy's vision. The unyielding rhythm and arousal pooling under his bellybutton overwhelmed him for a second, brain short-circuiting, and he couldn't stop the low whine that escaped his lips as he came, the high so intense that his legs gave out, eyes scrunched up. There was a hand at his collar again, catching him from falling down the wall outright, as Zodyl guided him down to the ground carefully.

There was a loud gulp then, at which Tamsy pried his eyes open again, meeting dark glowing ones at his eye level now. Zodyl's cheeks were painted with swirling black tribal markings, the tattoo lines framing his eyes like a weird sort of eyeliner, making his features appear even sharper, if that was possible. Mishra was fully changed also, wrapping around Zodyl's arms in a shape of scaly wings, flaring outwards in a way it took up almost his entire field of vision at such close proximity. Because of course having a taste of Tamsy granted Zodyl wings. Tamsy managed a satisfied smile at the thought through the beating of his heart.

"The choker maker?" Zodyl then asked, keeping his glimmering purple eyes on Tamsy's, as if making sure he was fine.

There was a bead of cum at the corner of the leader's lips, and Tamsy wiped it with his thumb carefully, enjoying silently how the other tilted his head to chase the touch.

"Mm, they have suspicions that the maker is using a part of the Watchman Series," Tamsy answered, moving the thumb along the other's plump bottom lip. Zodyl pliantly opened his mouth, licking the residue off Tamsy's thumb.

"And are they?" Zodyl questioned after the thumb left his mouth, licking his lips once.

"Yes. So I do suggest you beat them to the information broker," he provided the information fully, as he always did in these little meetings the leader and him seemed to have more and more often than before.

He moved the hand on the other's face, fingertips tracing the black Mishra markings with honest awe. They were really beautiful, amplifying the other's dark features so prettily. It made him feel almost proud that they were there because of him.

Zodyl moved his head a little, closing the space between them, and Tamsy immediately grabbed him by the jaw instead, shifting the other's face away with a chuckle.

"I'd rather not taste myself right now," he said, avoiding the kiss. "I'm not into eating as you are."

Zodyl grunted at that, but moved back nonetheless, Tamsy's fingers slipping away. He stood up, Mishra wrapping around him like a looming presence, its wings almost fully shadowing Tamsy from the lone flickering light above.

"I will make plans to intercept the cleaners," Zodyl announced, voice as silky as always.

And with that, the leader stretched his newly acquired wings to their full span, nodded at Tamsy, and was gone to the skies with a violent flap sound against the wind. Tamsy sat there on the cold ground for a second more, and then sighed, tucking himself in, standing up and whiping hands where his uniform was wrinkled to make himself look presentable. Another pleasant meeting, another giddy feeling in his chest.

--

There was a quiet ache along his spine when he woke up. He sat up and stretched his arms out with a yawn to counteract it and it helped, a little. His loose hair slid into his eyes at the movement and he brought a hand to tuck it behind his ear, opening his eyes lazily with a few slow blinks. It had been around two weeks after their last meeting in the alleyway and a month since he last was in this room, but it all still felt so familiar.

Zodyl was at his mahogany desk already, Mishra draped onto his shoulders loosely from what Tamsy could see of the leader's broad back from the bed. He crawled out of the said bed, padding along the room on soft bared feet. When he reached Zodyl, he threw his arms on the other's cloaked shoulders, placing a quick kiss under the other's ear. Zodyl tensed for a split second, as he always did, but then relaxed with a sigh.

"Morning," Tamsy greeted in a whisper near Zodyl's ear, who didn't respond, hand moving back to scribble something in a notebook he had been writing in before Tamsy disturbed him.

Tamsy curiously glanced over the leader's shoulder at it, eyes shifting through the neat handwriting. It appeared to be a quite detailed description of Enjin and Umbreaker, most important notes dotted tidily.

"Profiling?" Tamsy asked, chuckling slightly where he read a line that said 'appears to be not strong'.

"Yes," Zodyl graced him with a response at last, voice slightly gruff from sleep. He must've woken up not that long ago either.

Tamsy, having read the page dedicated to Enjin fully, hummed absently. He shifted forwards a bit, essentially draping himself over Mishra's collar, to point where the Team Akuta leader's weaknesses were listed. 'Close range' and 'Underestimating of opponents' was all that was written under there.

"Write down big ego and flirting here," Tamsy instructed, helpfully. Even if he was half-joking, Zodyl's pen dutifully noted his words down. "Do you have a page for me, too?" he asked, amused how Zodyl's head tilted to avoid his loose blond hair getting in his eyes.

Zodyl flipped a couple of pages of the notebook to reach Tamsy's page. It was much shorter than Enjin's, just a description of Tokushin's abilities, with 'Watchman book' and 'Informative' written under in a sharp font. Tamsy scoffed at that, moving his hand to dig his fingers through Zodyl's dark locks absently.

"No weaknesses?" he joked, and Zodyl placed his pen down on the table tidily at that, turning a little on the chair to face Tamsy.

The leader placed fingers on Tamsy's sides, moving him methodically until Tamsy had no other choice but to shift his legs to straddle Zodyl's thighs, settling onto his lap face to face. He went willingly.

"I trust you enough," Zodyl muttered, and Tamsy couldn't help but grin at that, placing a hand on the other's cheek, fingertips playing with the helix piercing.

"You sure that's a good idea?" Tamsy quipped.

Zodyl's void-bearing eyes, locked onto Tamsy's, betrayed nothing, but the way the leader's fingers tightened on his waist said a lot. Tamsy grinded down onto the other's lap, amused.

"Are you calling me gullible?" Zodyl grunted, shifting a bit in the chair from Tamsy's endeavors.

"No, no, I'm just flattered," Tamsy grinned down at him, placing one hand between them to grind a palm down on the other's very apparent tent softly.

Zodyl furrowed his brows at that a bit, moving one hand up to grip at the back of Tamsy's hair, pulling down to make Tamsy bear his throat and he, of course, didn't fight it, groaning a little at the pleasant ache at his scalp. Zodyl's lips were on his jawline then, travelling up with little nibbles that will probably leave marks in their wake, not that Tamsy minded. Then, the hold on his hair subsided and Zodyl treaded his fingers through, cupping the back of Tamsy's head, making him look down at Zodyl again. Their faces were close enough for their lips to brush against eachother, and so Tamsy grinned against the lips and ducked his head to avoid a kiss, placing a teasing bite at the other's earlobe before moving down to bite and suck near Zodyl's collarbone.

"Bed?" Zodyl murmured, tilting his head to give Tamsy more space to paint hickeys on his neck.

"Or you can bend me over on the desk?" Tamsy offered instead lightly, smiling at the way the other bucked his hips at that, answer unsaid aloud, but obviously affirmative.

--

And when they next meet, two months after, Tamsy is riding Zodyl in the middle of No Man's Land with wild abandon, knees knocking into the harsh gravel each time he bottoms out with a sharp gasp. He was elated and he just couldn't wait.

"Tamsy..." Zodyl groaned under him instead of telling him to slow down, but Tamsy paid no attention to it, smirking at the way the other's eyes and nose were scrunched up, overwhelmed, and kept going at it.

It did not take long for the leader to fill his insides with warmth, and Tamsy lazily rocked his hips, still sat on the softening heat, looking up to the night sky in victory, a grin on his lips.

"Tamsy," it was more pointed now, said between heavy breathing.

"I'm so close, Zodyl," Tamsy said to the sky, lowering his head to meet the other's eyes at last.

Zodyl moved his hand from Tamsy's hip to grasp onto Tamsy's hard-on, but Tamsy caught his wrist with a grin before it could reach its destination.

"Not that, although I appreciate the eagerness," Tamsy chuckled, as his own release was the last thing on his mind. He grinded on the other's dick teasingly, earning a grunt. "My plan, Zodyl. There's just one piece missing."

Tamsy couldn't read confusion in the leader's stone-cold look, but he swore he could feel it seeping into the other's bones the way he sat up a little onto his elbows, not breaking their eye contact.

Tamsy leaned over, closing the distance between their faces. Zodyl didn't move a muscle at the shift, frozen in anticipation.

"I need Mishra, Zodyl," he whispered, close enough to feel the heat of the other's lips ghosting on his own.

He captured the shocked gasp midway through, eating it up into the kiss. That was the most emotion he had gotten from the leader so far, considering he had been coaxing the other to give into his affections for a whole year. Initial shock gone, Zodyl melted into his lips, completely pliant under his touch, and Tamsy let his fingers thread into Zodyl's short cut near his ear, earning a groan. The leader appreciated his gift, it seemed. After so long, the kiss was worth more, a reward for Zodyl's unending affection and attention, and the leader pushed into his lips almost desperately, fingers hopelessly searching for purchase on Tamsy's uniform. Tamsy bit onto the other's bottom lip, using the way the lips parted to lick into Zodyl's mouth, their breaths tangling together in the proximity, heated. His pierced tongue clacked against the other's front teeth and Tamsy chuckled into the kiss, pulling away just barely for them to catch their breaths.

"Will you bring her back?" Zodyl spoke against Tamsy's lips and Tamsy carded his fingertips through the leader's hair lovingly.

"You trust me, right?" he asked in response, meeting Zodyl's eyes.

The other did not respond, but Tamsy had gotten better at reading his reactions. They've been together for so long, after all. His lips stretched into a smile at the other's silence.

Zodyl pushed him back, then. Tamsy got off him pliantly, fixing himself up at the same time the leader stood up, slowly, pulling his own pants up with hesitant fingers. There was a minute of silence, neither of them moving, and then... and then Zodyl's fingers touched Mishra's lapels, Tamsy gifting him what he hoped was an encouraging smile. The heavy coat was then slowly removed, each movement methodical, a little stiff. Then, the coat was offered to him, Zodyl's eyes drifting somewhere behind Tamsy absently, as if he was still unsure. That just will not stand.

"Zodyl," Tamsy coaxed, taking a step forward.

He planted a palm on the other's cheek, softly. The black eyes drifted to his, and Tamsy moved the leader's head down a little to counteract their height difference to catch his lips in a contract-sealing kiss again.

"I'll take care of her," he promised with a lingering touch of lips, and then took the coat out of the other's grasp, slowly. Zodyl's hands offered no resistance.

Tamsy took a step back then and petted Mishra, laying on his arm like a tamed animal, simmering with strength that Tamsy could feel through the slightest touch.

Zodyl was standing there, so very small and unasuming without the cloak covering his shoulders. He was willing to part with a piece of his soul for Tamsy, and Tamsy was more than ecstatic about that. His efforts were not for nought after all. He raised Mishra to his lips, closing his eyes and planting a final kiss on her warm leather, opening his eyes again at the shuddering sigh Zodyl let out at that.

And with a grin he hid behind Mishra's material, Tamsy got Tokushin out of his free sleeve, the distaff tapping on the gravel with finality. Wings of thread formed at his shoulders, so unlike Mishra's own, and he took off, leaving Zodyl Typhon behind on the ground like a speck of dust among the desert.

I think Zodyl is desperate for affection somewhere in his little head
