Summary
As a paramedic, Caylee’s used to the pressure of holding somebody’s life in the palm of her hand, right up until she takes a risk she shouldn’t and dies. That should be it. She should drift into nothingness. Instead, she’s plucked out of the void by something that calls itself a god and offered a deal: her life in exchange for completing a mission it won’t explain.
The only problem is that when she wakes up, Caylee isn’t on Earth. She’s in a world of elves, mages, and dwarves. A world that shouldn’t even exist.
Aeva is the daughter of a dead mother and a slain father, in a position few in Thedas would wish to be in: a Dalish orphan. When she was young, she wanted to be a great warrior like her father. Now she just wants to find the man who killed him and return the favour. With nothing left that matters to her except her annoying younger brother and a clan that still treats her like a child, she wants more. She wants justice, but she’ll settle for revenge.
