Stuck on you

Summary:

It's a day like any other when Seungmin makes a mistake. How big the mistake is, depends on your perspective, and on Seungmin's mood when you ask him about it. He doesn't make mistakes while preparing spells often, but this time, he messed up majorly. As in, big time.

It could have been the nerves, or it could have been that he misread the instructions while studying this ten years ago, but most likely, it's because he's in love with Hwang Hyunjin, his roommate and fellow wizard.

OR: Wizard Seungmin messes up a spell and now he's unable to be apart from his roommate and best friend Hyunjin more than a couple steps. It's okay, because he works together well with Hyunjin, but the problem is: Seungmin is desperately in love with him, and he can NOT have Hyunjin know about his feelings.

Notes:

HIII This was written for the lovely Seungjin prompt fest: Sense of Romance, for prompt #SOR027. I had a lot of fun writing this so I hope you have fun reading, too :D

ENJOY!

The spell he's preparing is a simple telekinesis spell, used on a potion to enchant it to give the user temporary powers. The potion is going to be sold in their wizard specialty shop, and he's preparing it while Hyunjin is finishing off painting the signs and art they'll use in said shop.

The first hint that he has done something terribly wrong is the fact that he can't take his eyes off Hyunjin while casting. Can you blame him? Hyunjin's long hair is tied back with a red ribbon, and his eyebrows are furrowed in concentration, his tongue peeking out between his beautiful lips. It's a gorgeous sight. Anyone would stare.

The second hint comes to light when he finally manages to tear his gaze away. His bottle of ingredients hasn't changed to a potion. It's not bubbling with enchantment, but Seungmin knows he cast a spell just now. Apparently it wasn't a telekinesis enchantment.

Oh well. Time to take a pee break, get himself together, wash his hands, and try again. Seungmin puts the potion bottle down and turns around to go to the bathroom, but an electric shock stops him and pulls him back.

It physically pulls him back.

Hyunjin yelps. That's the third sign that he made a huge mistake.

"Shit! I almost messed up the last sign. What happened?" Hyunjin asks, eyes wide, paintbrush clutched tightly in his fist. Seungmin swallows thickly, adam's apple bobbing.

"Put the paintbrush down, Hyunjin-ah. I think… I think I fucked up the telekinesis enchantment spell," he warns him, holding up his hand. "I am not sure what I did, but it seemed to give both of us a shock. Let me test it again."

Seungmin takes a step backwards, away from Hyunjin. Another shock pulls Seungmin back to his place, closer to Hyunjin, who jerks and almost falls off his chair, forward. Seungmin squints, wondering what the fuck kind of spell he cast. Whatever he did, it seems to have affected Hyunjin, too.

"One more time," he says, and he swiftly turns around and starts running down the hallway. Before he's halfway, a strong pull twists Seungmin back around and he gets all but flung back into the living room. At the same time, Hyunjin is flying towards him, yelling.

Seungmin yells, too, but the air gets knocked from his lungs when he collides with Hyunjin, chest to chest. Seungmin grabs Hyunjin's arms in an attempt to stabilize the two of them, but he doesn't quite succeed as they bump heads, too.

"Holy scrying glass on fire. What just happened?" Seungmin whispers, carefully stepping away from Hyunjin. He stands on his friend's toes and softly apologizes for it and steps back. It seems being a stride away from one another is fine. "It's as if we're connected by an invisible and electrically charged elastic band."

"I don't know—Wait. Do you think you accidentally cast a spell that means we can't be apart from each other?" Hyunjin's eyes light up as if he figured out what is going on, but Seungmin frowns. If he did cast such a spell, that would be… bad. Or good, maybe? Hyunjin is kind and beautiful and affectionate, after all— No, bad for sure. Not good.

"That… That could be true? Do you know a spell like that?" Seungmin asks, feet glued to the ground. He doesn't dare to step away again, lest he hurt them both. Hyunjin shrugs.

"I've read about it in a romance novel. It was very thrilling," he says, a slight blush on his cheeks. Oh god. That's horrible. Thrilling? Seungmin cannot afford to have a thrilling romance-like time with his friend, fellow wizard, long-time crush, and now business partner!

"Fuck. We need to solve this, and quick. How will we run the store like this?" Seungmin runs a hand through his hair. Hyunjin is still smiling. He's probably thinking about that novel he mentioned.

"I'm sure we'll figure it out," Hyunjin assures him in a soft tone. Seungmin fights the urge to stick out his lower lip at Hyunjin's gentle words. He's sure that they'll work through this, but it will be at the cost of Seungmin's patience. Patience that, if it runs out, might cause Seungmin to do something incredibly foolish, like kiss Hyunjin. Or confess his love to him.

"Okay. I need to use the washroom, now, though, so…" Seungmin trails off, pulling a sheepish expression as he looks at Hyunjin.

"I'll, uhm, come with you," Hyunjin says with a chuckle, awkwardly scratching his neck. Seungmin now notices that there's a spot of paint on his cheek. He points it out before taking Hyunjin to their bathroom.

At first, he tries shutting the door with Hyunjin still outside, like he'd normally do, but before he can reach the toilet, he's ripped away from it, until his back hits the door. "Ow!" he groans, at the same time as he hear Hyunjin say Ouchie! at the other side of the door.

Seungmin sighs deeply, and he opens the door. "Fine, come in, but please don't look," he says, motioning for Hyunjin to enter the bathroom. Hyunjin laughs, but he turns away from Seungmin after grabbing a tissue to wipe away the paint on his cheek.

Seungmin does what he needs to do and washes his hands afterwards. Hyunjin never looks, which is a relief. Then, Hyunjin shows him the signs he made. They're beautiful, as expected of Hyunjin. He's beautiful in every way, after all. "You did great, Hyunjin-ah. These are going to look so good in the shop!" Seungmin tells him, proudly patting his roommate on the back.

Hyunjin grins widely and flutters his lashes. "Thanks Minnie-yah. I am happy with them. Do you want to help me hang them or do you want to finish the potions?" he asks, swinging an arm around Seungmin, as if that helps Seungmin decide.

"I'll finish those extra potions another time. Let's hang these signs, and then, preferably, we figure out how to deal with this… predicament," he says, unconsciously touching Hyunjin's hand. He quickly pulls away and starts helping Hyunjin clean up before they bring the lovely wooden painted signs to the front of the house, the shop.

"I'm assuming the romance book you read didn't contain any details about the reversal of this spell?" Seungmin asks as he's carefully hanging up a sign above shelves stocked with magical goods, keeping Hyunjin close so they don't have any accidents.

"It didn't. It's a novel. They did have a happy ending, though," Hyunjin says with a chuckle. Seungmin looks over his shoulder and sighs. He steps down the stool and kicks it over to Hyunjin's side so that he can hang up the last sign.

Hyunjin steps up the step ladder and starts hanging the sign. "The wizards from the novel actually had a lot of fun together, but they also kind of wanted to pull each other's hair out. I think we'll do better than that," he says, a smile still playing on his lips. Seungmin exhales, gaze drawn to Hyunjin's expression.

"Maybe we have a book laying around somewhere that can help us," Seungmin says. Hyunjin glances back at him, but the motion makes him lose his balance, so Seungmin quickly holds him by the hips to steady him. "Careful! You might pull me with you."

"Sorry~ Thanks for catching me, Seungmin-ah." Hyunjin offers him a cheesy smile, and Seungmin presses his lips into a thin line, fighting the urge to scold his friend for pretending like they're in his romance novel. "I can always count on you."

"Stop exaggerating! You could have hurt yourself," Seungmin complains, halfheartedly slapping Hyunjin's shoulder. Hyunjin laughs and simply continues to hang up his painted sign.

"I wasn't exaggerating. Much," he retorts. Seungmin scoffs, and Hyunjin sighs. "Okay. Maybe a little, but I do mean it! You're a very reliable guy, and you know I appreciate that, right?"

"Thank you. And yes, I do know," Seungmin replies softly, his neck heating up a little. He always gets so caught off guard when Hyunjin suddenly starts being all serious and sentimental like this. He wants to compliment Hyunjin back, but he's cut off by the sound of the front door flying open.

Seungmin inhales sharply, and Hyunjin gasps, losing his balance again. This time, Seungmin isn't fast enough to catch him, so they both topple over. They land on the floorboards with a groan and a loud thud.

"Hello! Hello! I've heard that the two lovely wizards who reside here are opening their shop, soon?" Changbin announces loudly, not caring about those same lovely wizards being on the floor right now, thanks to him. "You are, hereby, cordially invited to the celebration at Chan hyung's house. Please be there tomorrow, on time, or else hyung will worry."

Seungmin huffs and sits up, ignoring their friend for a moment to help Hyunjin upright. "Are you okay?" Hyunjin asks with a gentle hand on Seungmin's shoulder. Seungmin nods and glares at Changbin, who holds up his hands in defense, the invitations between his thumb and pointer finger.

"I have nothing to do with whatever this is. I knocked before letting myself in with the key you two gave me!" Changbin explains. Seungmin sighs and snatches the invitations from his hands.

"That key was for emergencies," he retorts, but Changbin doesn't seem to care. Seungmin gives Hyunjin one of the envelopes and starts opening his own, carefully, to preserve the paper.

"I won't hear more complaints. We're celebrating. Be on time!" he warns them again, before promptly leaving. Hyunjin laughs and bids Changbin a goodbye with a quick see you tomorrow, hyung, before focusing back on the invitation. It's very obviously made by Chan, the neat penmanship very unlike many of their other friends, like Changbin and Minho.

The invitation describes a party celebration going on at Chan's place tomorrow, to congratulate Seungmin and Hyunjin with the opening of their shop, the day after tomorrow. There will be food, there will be friends, and it will start a little after noon. Changbin told them to be on time, but the invitation assures them that if they need help cleaning or preparing the shop, they can always ask for help.

Seungmin smiles to himself, glad to have a little distraction from the stress of being magically attached to his long-time crush, roommate, business partner, dear friend, and fellow wizard. He's also grateful that they've set up most of the shop, and Seungmin has cleaned everything rigorously yesterday, so they don't have to ask for any of that help.

"How lovely! And just in time. As if they knew I was just hanging up the last sign," Hyunjin sighs to himself, also smiling. "Help me pick out what to wear, Minnie-yah. We deserve some rest after working so much, don't you think?"

"What about the reversal? Shouldn't we make sure that we're unattached before tomorrow? Or at least before our shop opens?" Seungmin asks. It almost seems like Hyunjin has already forgotten about their predicament.

"Okay. Okay, you make a good point. Can't we just ask one of our old professors? I'm sure they won't mind helping out their top students," Hyunjin says with a wink. Seungmin's eyes widen.

"No. No way. We cannot do that! Imagine what they'll think!" He shakes his head, heart pounding quickly. There's no way he will allow them to contact their old professors. Hyunjin frowns and purses his lips, question marks written all over his expression. "Their top students, messing up a spell like this? Unable to reverse it by themselves? That's totally bad publicity for our shop!"

"Oh. I suppose you're right about that," Hyunjin says with a hum. He pulls a sour expression. "Okay, we'll pick out an outfit later. Let's look through our book collection first."

Their book collection doesn't exactly contain any books that can help them with this spell. He ends up reading through almost every single one, or at least quickly scanning the pages. He moves to the kitchen when Hyunjin announces that he's going to prepare them a meal, as he's hungry and getting a headache from concentrating so much.

"Ugh. There's nothing!" Seungmin complains. He can't focus much anymore, with the smell of food wafting through the kitchen, the fear of the books getting ruined by the steam, and their magical chains that keep tugging on Seungmin whenever Hyunjin takes a step too far away. "I'll just have to retrace my steps… How could I have been so foolish?"

"Don't beat yourself up, Minnie-yah. Everyone makes mistakes. We've had a couple of long days this week, so I don't blame you for not being at your best," Hyunjin says, looking over his shoulder as he stirs the cooking pot. Seungmin presses his lips into a thin line, heart speeding up.

"Thanks. Can I clean up these books quickly or are you going to burn the food if you leave the kitchen for three seconds?" he asks. Hyunjin douses the fire instead of answering and offers Seungmin a sarcastic smile before following him to the bookcase.

"Very funny. I'd say my skills with fire and food are above yours," Hyunjin retorts playfully. Seungmin narrows his eyes, quickly putting the books away in their respective place.

"Not when it comes to kimchi jjigae," he says, shooing Hyunjin back to the kitchen so they can plate everything.

"Kimchi jjigae! You always bring up freaking kimchi jjigae," Hyunjin complains. He grabs a couple of plates and two sets of chopsticks. "I can never win an argument if you bring up that stew all the time…"

"Hehehe," Seungmin grins widely, and he starts plating the kimchi Hyunjin prepared. They work together smoothly, until Seungmin wants to bring the plate of kimchi and a bowl of rice to the living room and thinks Hyunjin is right behind him, when in reality, he isn't. Hyunjin squeaks loudly, but the sound registers in Seungmin's mind a fraction of a second too late.

A shock and a tug at his back almost makes him drop the food. Almost. Thankfully, the food is spared, and Hyunjin doesn't hurt himself with anything. That could have been disastrous. "Whoopsies," he says, looking over his shoulder with an apologetic look.

"It's okay," Hyunjin assures him with a breathy chuckle. He grabs a bowl of rice and the plate of greens and meat. "I'm ready now. Let's go."

"It's not okay, though. That could have been pretty dangerous. I… I'll be more careful," Seungmin assures him as the two of them sit down at the low table. Hyunjin softens, and sends him a lovely smile, eyes glittering. Seungmin swallows thickly, his neck heating up. Hyunjin is so unfairly beautiful, Seungmin never knows what to do when he looks at him like this.

"See? I can always count on you, Seungmin-ah," Hyunjin tells him, a teasing tone to his kind voice, but there's also something sincere to it. He's always honest, and also quite sappy, but he always means what he says. It's bad for Seungmin's health.

"I just don't want you to hurt yourself," Seungmin admits under his breath. He isn't sure if Hyunjin hears him or not, because the man stays silent. It doesn't matter if he heard it or not, as long as he knows that Seungmin cares for him.

Seungmin starts eating, and Hyunjin quickly follows. The quiet that blankets them starts off a bit loaded, but soon it grows comfortable. Seungmin talks about the specific telekinesis enchantment he wanted to use, but he doesn't remember exactly how he cast the spell. Hyunjin tells him about the novel, and how the main character cast the spell there. It doesn't help Seungmin much with thinking of a reversal.

Reversals aren't straight-forward, unfortunately, so Seungmin isn't quite sure where to start. So instead, he helps Hyunjin pick out what to wear for tomorrow—the sleek red robes, of course. Those always look phenomenal on him.

Seungmin will wear his own nice blue ones, the ones he wears for special occasions. (They might look like a bridal pair like that, red and blue, in nice robes, but Seungmin won't allow himself to think about that for too long, even though he's completely certain that Hyunjin will make the same connection.)

"Okay, well. I think I'm going to call it a night now—" Seungmin says, standing up and planning to go wash up, but midway he realizes that he can't just sleep in his own room if Hyunjin is not there with him. "Wait. Uhm. How are we going to sleep?"

"Oh. Right," Hyunjin says with a chuckle. He seems to think about something, but he doesn't say anything. Eventually, Seungmin suggests getting out the futon and sleeping on the floor next to Hyunjin's bed.

"If you're okay with that, that could be a good idea," Hyunjin says with a tiny smile. Seungmin isn't sure what else Hyunjin thinks would be a good idea, because surely it can't be the two of them squeezing into one of their twin beds.

"Of course. The futon is not that uncomfortable. We have nice floors. We can switch every night if that makes you feel better," he suggests, patting Hyunjin's back. Hyunjin rolls his eyes, and he wordlessly grabs Seungmin's wrist to take him to the bathroom with him so that they can wash up.

Washing up together is nothing new, although Hyunjin seems to glance at him through the mirror more often than normal. Seungmin pretends like he doesn't notice, and he just hopes that their magical link doesn't mean that they have a mental link, too.

Seungmin sincerely wishes that this whole shebang will be over by morning, and that they can continue to their lives comfortably—nothing like a thrilling romance, preferably. Unless Hyunjin magically returns his feelings. Seungmin doesn't want to risk it.

*ੈ✩‧₊˚.𖥔 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪⚝₊ ⊹˚.𖥔 ݁ ˖

The whole shebang is not over in the morning. Seungmin tries to sneak out of the room while Hyunjin is still half asleep yet trying to get up, but he's violently pulled back into the room, onto the bed, his front attached to Hyunjin's chest.

"Holy moly!" Hyunjin's eyes fly wide open as they meet Seungmin's gaze. Seungmin sees him grow red as a pepper, and he feels his own skin heat up like Hyunjin's black hair in the midsummer sun. "What a wake-up call!"

Their noses are only a hair's width away from each other. Seungmin could just tilt his head and their lips would touch—Shit. It's way too early to be thinking about kissing Hyunjin. He's really in the thick of it, now.

Seungmin's mouth twitches, and the two of them burst into laughter at the same time. "Jeez! Sorry about that," Seungmin says through giggles, gently peeling himself off of Hyunjin. Hyunjin smiles, his eyes disappearing into thin crescents.

"Are you trying to recreate the scenes from the book I read, Minnie-yah?" Hyunjin teases him with a grin. Seungmin sputters something incoherent, neck growing even warmer.

"I haven't read it. I was only trying to see if the spell has worn off by now," he explains, sheepishly. Then, he takes a deep breath and pulls himself together. He's never this shy. There's no reason to be. Hyunjin wants to tease him, he'll push back. He can lay it on thick, too. "I wanted to make you some breakfast and all. Shower without you in the room, perhaps. But this works, too."

That was not laying it on thick. That was thinner than the soles of his grandfather's slippers after sixty years of wearing them.

"Okay, okay. I get it. I'll let you shower and brush your teeth while I wake up," Hyunjin assures him with a giggle that seems to pierce right through Seungmin's heart. Stupid spell. Stupid stupid Hyunjin. Why is he so adorable in the morning?! "Although, this did wake me up properly for sure."

"Okay, let's go." Seungmin pulls his sleepy roommate, dear friend, long-time crush, business partner, and fellow wizard up from the bed and towards Seungmin's room so he can get a set of new clothes, and then to the bathroom.

He makes sure that Hyunjin is looking away before undressing himself. Hyunjin is brushing his teeth, so Seungmin quickly showers and doesn't dare to look at Hyunjin. His resolution not to face his fellow wizard to whom he is very much bonded right now falters when his chest prickles and he gets tugged towards the sink. He meets Hyunjin's gaze dead on, eyes wide and heart hammering against his ribs.

"Whoops," Hyunjin whispers, cheeks pink. Seungmin awkwardly smiles, his teeth on display. He swears he sees Hyunjin's eyes flick down, but for his own health and well being, he'll pretend that he didn't, and he tells himself that he won't look down either.

When Seungmin grabs a towel to dry himself, he turns his back to Hyunjin. When he turns back around, Hyunjin is already naked and in the shower. Seungmin spots a peek of his butt. It's flat, but oh so perfect. God dammit.

Seungmin takes a deep breath, dresses himself, and brushes his teeth twice, hoping that it'll somehow distract him enough not to look at Hyunjin in the shower. His hopes and dreams are crushed when he feels a shock and gets tugged towards the shower. He's once again face to face with Hyunjin, and he isn't sure which time was worse.

Being seen naked by Hyunjin, or seeing a wet, naked, flushed by the hot water, Hyunjin. Worst of all, Seungmin looks down. He is a weak, weak man. Hopefully Hyunjin didn't see. Or, if he saw, he didn't mind? (Yeah, sure, keep dreaming, Kim Seungmin.)

"Whoops," Seungmin says, even though he's pretty darn sure that he didn't step away from Hyunjin just now—this wasn't his fault. Hyunjin smiles for some reason, and it's enough to soothe Seungmin's mind for now. "This… This is going to take so getting used to, but I hope we don't have to."

Seungmin turns around, so he doesn't see Hyunjin's expression, but the man stays quiet, not replying. A slap on Seungmin's butt startles him and signals him that Hyunjin has gotten out of the shower. Seungmin turns around to glare at him but Hyunjin is still very much nakey save for the towel around his waist.

Seungmin's heart makes a whole freaking fuss about it.

This is going to be a long day.

Before Seungmin knows it, it's time to prepare for their friends' celebration for them. He's getting a little used to undressing and getting ready only a step away from Hyunjin, but it only makes Seungmin way more aware of how in love he is with his roommate, dear friend, business partner, and fellow wizard.

Hyunjin in his usual state is more beautiful than anything. The way he runs his hand through his hair while searching for the pieces of his robe, the way he bites his lower lip when concentrating, and his soft eyes when he looks at Seungmin in that way that means he wants something all make Seungmin's heart go crazy.

"Can you help me tie it?" Hyunjin asks him with a chuckle, his deep red robe hanging off his shoulder. Seungmin is still only half dressed, his chest exposed, and he swears that Hyunjin's eyes stray towards it, but he quickly answers the question so he doesn't linger on it.

"Only if you're okay with a simple bow. And if you help me with mine," he replies. Hyunjin grins widely and spins around, electricity zipping through his chest as he steps forward towards him. Seungmin isn't quite sure if that was the spell or not.

He stands behind Hyunjin, a smile playing on his lips as he ties Hyunjin's smooth robes. When he's finished, Seungmin gathers Hyunjin's hair and gently pulls it out of the collar. Then he caresses his hands along Hyunjin's shoulders and back to smooth out the fabric.

"There. All handsome now," Seungmin says, patting Hyunjin's butt.

Hyunjin hums before spinning around. He smiles gently. "Thanks," he says in a low voice, touching Seungmin's shoulder. Seungmin flushes and turns so that Hyunjin can help him with his robes.

"This is kind of nice, don't you think?" Hyunjin asks, breath hitting Seungmin's neck. Seungmin isn't sure what he's referring to, but he can't deny that this is nice, so he hums in response. "Getting to help each other like this, celebrating before we open the shop. The accumulation of our hard work."

"Yeah." Seungmin swallows, tugging at the edge of his robes. His stomach churns when he thinks about the opening tomorrow, wondering how they'll deal with their predicament in front of customers. "I really hope I didn't mess up by chaining us together."

"We're bonded, not chained! Stop that negative talk, you're starting to sound like me in a melancholic mood," Hyunjin tuts him, tying off the ribbon and stepping in front of Seungmin to fix his hair. "Let's go. Stay close."

Chan has gone all out with preparations, as Seungmin expected. There's a banner congratulating them in his lovely handwriting. Everyone is looking festive, and there's a ton of food ready to eat, pots of tea, bottles of soju, and lanterns hanging around.

"Congrats on getting to open your wizard shop tomorrow!" Chan calls out with a cheer, and everyone claps. Seungmin hooks his arm around Hyunjin's and bows. They stay together as they greet everyone and chat a little.

They talk about preparations and such, and Seungmin brags about Hyunjin's beautifully painted signs. They also thank everyone for helping spread the word about their shop opening, because at the end of the day, non-wizards like their friends are the mostly target audience for the shop.

The chatting is interrupted by Chan clinging a ringed finger against a glass bottle. "May I get your attention please? It's time to feast! Seungmin-ah, Hyunjin-ah, we have reserved royal positions at the heads of the tables for you," he says, gesturing at the beautifully set table.

There's only one problem. The table might be too big for them to sit across from one another. Seungmin shares a look with Hyunjin, but before they can confide in one another, Jisung already excitedly takes Hyunjin's hand to pull him over to the other side.

"No!" Seungmin already gets tugged towards Hyunjin—there's no way they'd be able to sit across from each other without causing a disaster. Jisung freezes, his eyes wide as saucers.

"Huh? What? Why?" Jisung stammers. Seungmin feels kind of bad for yelling, but it would have been worse if he got dragged all over the table and ruined the food.

"It's just— We— It would be better if we sit next to each other. Or at least a little closer," Seungmin explains with a sigh. Jisung lets go of Hyunjin but he does seem quite confused.

"Why? So you can get chummy with each other? Has living together shown you new sides of one another and have you not only worked on the shop but also explored each other's bodies—?" Minho asks, crossing his arms and being cut off when Seungmin loudly clears his throat and Jeongin groans. Seungmin's skin heats up when he remembers their shower fun and Hyunjin's naked body.

"Hyung! Let me keep my appetite, will you?" the youngest of the bunch complains. Seungmin's appetite is getting ruined, too, but not for the same reason as Jeongin's is. In his case, it's being replaced by butterflies.

"We— Seungmin bonded us by accident," Hyunjin adds, holding up his hands. "It's— It's a spell gone wrong. We can't be more than a couple steps apart from each other or we…" He trails off, and claps his hands together to show what happens if there's too much distance between them.

"How romantic!" Yongbok exclaims with a wide smirk on his face. "And you've kept it this way? On purpose?"

"No, we just haven't figured out the reversal yet," Seungmin mumbles, scratching his neck in embarrassment. "Anyway! Let's not get distracted from all this lovely food you've prepared for us, and let's not cause an accident by separating Hyunjin and I too much, all right?"

No one protests at the prospect of food, but neither do their friends drop the subject easily. Seungmin tries to ignore their pokes and teasing alluding to the romance of the situation while simultaneously trying to prevent Hyunjin from drinking too much alcohol.

That last thing is for two main reasons—For one, it's dangerous if Hyunjin forgets that they are attached to each other, and secondly, it would be better if Hyunjin doesn't have to have too many bathroom breaks.

Also, Hyunjin gets sentimental and Seungmin's walls have already weakened by today's events in the shower as well as a glass of soju. He really doesn't think he'll deal well if Hyunjin gets sentimental on him tonight, but when Seungmin is distracted while trying to get Changbin to give him some Korean pancakes, Hyunjin has suddenly procured another glass of soju.

"Stop drinking, Jinnie-yah!" he hisses, slapping Hyunjin's thigh which is pressed against his own. Hyunjin splutters, the glass already lifted to his lips. His cheeks are pink. He better not be drunk. "You'll get a headache tomorrow. Here, eat some more."

Seungmin places some more meat and a pancake on Hyunjin's plate. Hyunjin sticks out his lower lip. "I— I'm not tipsy, don't worry. I'm not like Jisungie," he retorts with a chuckle. He puts the glass down on the table and softens, twisting his body to face Seungmin. His hand comes to rest on top of Seungmin's one, and to make matters worse, he caresses the back of Seungmin's hand with his thumb. "But… Thanks for looking out for me as always."

"You— Of course," Seungmin mumbles, blinking as he tries to hold Hyunjin's sincere gaze. He's getting sappy on him! This is not good! Red alert!

"Are you stressed for tomorrow? Don't forget to have fun, all right, Seungmin-ah?" Hyunjin tells him, squeezing their hands, as if their friends are right about something having changed between them. But then again, this isn't too uncommon for them. They've always been able to be honest to each other like this, it's just that this spell makes Seungmin so much more aware of every little gesture.

He is a millisecond away from melting against Hyunjin's side, but instead he decides to be brave and intertwine their fingers to reassure his dear friend, roommate, fellow wizard, long-time crush and now also business partner. "Of course."

Unfortunately, he has to let go of Hyunjin's hand in order to eat properly and not make a mess, but surely Hyunjin understands. Seungmin's heart doesn't seem to calm down even as he distracts himself with food. Maybe a glass of soju will help. Just one more.

It does help get the edge off, and so does talking to their friends, but eventually, Hyunjin taps him on the shoulder and whispers that he needs to go to the bathroom. Their friends looks and giggles don't go unnoticed by Seungmin when he excuses the two of them to go to the bathroom together.

"Have fun!" Minho exclaims with a big grin, much to Jisung and Jeongin's amusement. Yongbok wiggles his eyebrows at them and sticks out his tongue.

"You guys are insufferable. Do you really think Seungmin would allow me to kiss him right after eating? Without brushing my teeth? Gross," Hyunjin groans, and he pulls Seungmin with him. Seungmin stumbles after him, visions of Hyunjin kissing him now in his mind. He's completely right about kissing being gross without having brushed their teeth, but Seungmin thinks that he'd make an exception for Hyunjin if the latter only looked at him with pleading eyes.

Or maybe only if he'd just rinse his mouth with a little water.

God. He shouldn't be thinking about this. Not when he's waiting for Hyunjin to finish peeing, not when he's relieving his own bladder, and not when he's washing his hands. Not ever, preferably. But it's so hard not to think about kissing Hyunjin's beautiful lips.

"Are you all right, Seungmin-ah? Is the teasing bothering you?" Hyunjin asks him, right before they return. Seungmin shakes his head and waves him off.

"I'm not bothered. Not at all," he says, not explaining further. Hyunjin narrows his eyes a little, but he doesn't speak up when Seungmin starts making his way back to the rest. Hyunjin doesn't get much of a chance to say anything, as Changbin immediately starts asking questions in his loud voice.

"Shut up Changbin hyung! You're drunk!" Chan yells, his face flushed. He's not entirely sober anymore either. Yongbok raises his hand, eager to ask a question, it seems. Seungmin takes his time sitting down before allowing Yongbok to speak.

"How do you manage washing up? If you're magically bonded?" he asks, eyes wide and curious. "Do you have to shower together? Or do you have washing spells?"

Seungmin bursts out laughing, both because he can't believe that Yongbok is actually asking this, but also because he's embarrassed as heck. Hyunjin is laughing, too, for reasons unknown to Seungmin.

"Not together, but we have to be in the room. And if we step too far apart…" Hyunjin claps his hands together again, startling Jisung next to him. Yongbok's eyes are wide, Chan and Changbin are listening intently. Minho nods as if he knows he was right about the exploring each other's bodies.

"Ha! I knew it." "How romantic." "Isn't that dangerous? What if you slip?" "Did you catch each other all gentleman style?" Minho, Yongbok, Chan, and Jisung ask, all speaking through one another.

"But he doesn't look down!" Hyunjin squeaks in addition, which is way too suspicious. Mostly because Seungmin did look down, and he's pretty sure Hyunjin saw it. Minho cackles and Jeongin complains loudly.

"We didn't ask!" he groans, shaking his head. Seungmin smiles, although he's embarrassed, it's funny to see their friends like this. "Ugh."

The night ends not long after that, because although Seungmin would like to stay, he and Hyunjin have a store to open tomorrow morning. Seungmin doesn't get much sleep, even though he gets the bed and it's Hyunjin's turn to sleep on the floor. Somewhere around midnight, Seungmin contemplates asking Hyunjin to join him in the bed, but Hyunjin seems to be fast asleep, and Seungmin is a coward.

Despite the magical bond preventing them from being apart, and despite the sleep deprivation, the opening day of their wizardly specialty store goes surprisingly well. Every one of their friends stops by to say hello, sometimes with a family member or another friend to introduce them to Hyunjin and Seungmin and the store.

Seungmin nearly forgets about all of his stress and feelings for Hyunjin, and he focuses completely on helping people in need. A sleeping potion with a long list of warnings here, a charm to ease some pain there, some advice how to deal with certain spells for the occasional young wizard afraid of their professors, and many recipes still to make.

They get some requests for love potions, but Hyunjin and Seungmin had made an agreement to not deal with such requests unless the person can actually bring them a long letter of motivation, will sign their terms and conditions surrounding selling a potion like that, and brings them something belonging to the person they want to enchant. Most already fold when they hear the motivation letter, so Seungmin suspects that there are some pranksters between their customers.

It's almost difficult to close up shop after about seven hours of being open, but they need to start working on some potions and charms for specific purposes, which is part of the job, too. Ideally, they'd be able to work on spells and such while being open, but since they can't be apart more than a couple of steps, it's not quite possible at the moment.

After Seungmin turns Hyunjin's painted sign to closed, he is met with a brightly smiling wizard, who jumps into Seungmin's arms. "We did it! That—That was great!" he exclaims happily, hugging Seungmin tight. Seungmin can't help but giggle, melting into his friend's arms.

"Right? It— It went way better than I expected. I think we can expect things to slow down for now, but we've gotten enough orders to last us the week already," he replies, unable to stop himself from smiling when he meets Hyunjin's sunny expression.

Seungmin's heart twirls.

*ੈ✩‧₊˚.𖥔 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪⚝₊ ⊹˚.𖥔 ݁ ˖

The week passes by without much of a hiccup. They're getting used to being magically attached to each other, although there are many many times where Seungmin almost loses it and kisses Hyunjin right on his beautiful lips.

To be fair, it's not just because he's in love with Hyunjin. There are still quite a couple of incidents of them being pulled together and bumping chests and being way too close to accidentally slamming heads—two to five times a day, even—but Seungmin thinks they're lucky that it doesn't happen while the shop is open.

He feels bittersweet whenever they get flung into each other by the spell. He feels a bit guilty for enjoying it, but he can't find the time to figure out the reversal as they're busy with maintaining the store and preparing orders for their customers. Hyunjin doesn't ever express annoyance with their situation, though, so that eases Seungmin's heart.

Even if some spells and orders require a lot of work and careful testing, Seungmin finds himself working great with Hyunjin, not only because they know each other's magic style and working style inside and out from having attended magic school and university together, but also because they keep each other accountable.

They make sure the other doesn't get distracted, and they don't push their limits when magic exhaustion sets in. Hyunjin keeps complimenting Seungmin, but it never feels like he's not genuine.

"Seungmin-ah. Come lie in bed with me, will you? The bed is more comfortable," Hyunjin says, patting the covers. His face is still a bit flushed from the shower just now, and he looks quite gorgeous in the light of the lamp on his bedside table.

"Are you sure? Won't that be uncomfortable for you?" he asks, because even though he would love to have a mattress under him and his beautiful roommate, long-time crush, fellow wizard, best friend, and business partner next to him, he knows how quickly Hyunjin gets warm and sweaty on the regular, let alone when sharing a bed and body heat with a whole other person.

"I won't mind," Hyunjin answers without missing a beat. He holds out his hand, and Seungmin just stares, like the fool he is. Hyunjin chuckles. "It might be a little cramped, but we've been chummy all week, right? I think we can handle this."

"You're right." Seungmin softens and takes Hyunjin's hand, letting the man pull him up to a crouch so that he can climb under the covers with him. It's warmer than on the floor, and softer for sure.

Hyunjin scoots back, making room for Seungmin, a tiny grin on his face. He looks satisfied, glad even, to have Seungmin in his bed. Seungmin might be dreaming, so he subtly pinches himself under the covers.

Ow! Shit. Okay, he's not dreaming.

"Do you think we'll be able to reverse this spell anytime soon? Or are we doomed to be attached by the hip forever? The Siamese wizards?" Seungmin asks with a chuckle. He doesn't hate having to stay close to Hyunjin, but they can't do this forever. It's simply not practical.

"We're not doomed either way, you silly man," Hyunjin retorts, scrunching up his nose as he weakly pushes Seungmin's shoulder. "We've been doing just fine, haven't we? We're a great team, in my humble opinion."

"I never said we weren't. I do think we work well together," Seungmin admits. "But… We can't stay like this forever, right? It's just… Not only for practical reasons, like having to wake up at the same time and having to stay together in the shop and such, but also because what if we want to surprise each other? We should be free to do whatever we like, shouldn't we?"

"You're right…" Hyunjin says, looking somewhat disappointed. Seungmin can't quite wrap his head around why he would not want this to be over. Seungmin likes having an excuse to be close to Hyunjin for sure, but he has selfish, feelings related, reasons for that.

"We can take our time, though. I mean, we haven't even started figuring out how to reverse this spell," Seungmin adds with a shrug. Hyunjin hums, his eyes drooping adorably. Oh how Seungmin longs to kiss him. Seungmin is a weak man.

He wakes up with Hyunjin's arm slung around him. He's been dreaming about kissing the man, the sensation still on his lips as if it happened in real life. Seungmin sighs deeply. He's torn about this situation. He'd love to sneak out of bed now and take a shower in peace, by himself, but he can't do that without waking Hyunjin and dragging him with him.

Maybe he can do a temporary nullifying spell. Right! Why hadn't he thought of that before? Seungmin wracks his mind to think of a nullifying spell. There's a very simple one that lasts about twenty minutes. That should be enough for Seungmin to freshen up and hurry back to the bedroom so he doesn't wake Hyunjin up.

He subtly shifts forward on the bed and reaches for his clothes to grab his pocket spell book. Hyunjin's hand stays on his shoulder as he flips through the pages until he finds the right spell. He casts it in a whisper and carefully gets out of bed.

He tucks Hyunjin back in and slowly steps away, testing if the spell worked properly. Once he's at the door and he still hasn't felt any tugging or electric shocks, he slips away to the bathroom. It's a relief to be able to wash up by himself, without Hyunjin in the room, who is always making his heart go wild despite not even doing anything.

He brushes his teeth, showers, and dresses himself, and despite the temporary distance between them, Seungmin can't stop thinking about Hyunjin. A tug at Seungmin's chest barely registers in his mind as he thinks about Hyunjin's peaceful sleeping face, and the way he looked so disappointed when Seungmin said they'd have to undo the spell one day.

A shock is enough to stir Seungmin awake. Shit, he thinks, and he wants to sprint back to the bedroom before disaster strikes, but the spell is faster in wearing out and Seungmin gets flung against the wall.

He hears a crash and a loud yell, and his heart drop. His chest hurts like hell, fingers cramping. It's because they're still separated by an entire hallway. Seungmin drags himself along the wall towards the door, and as soon as he manages to open it in a jerky movement, he flies through the hallway and gets slammed against the door to Hyunjin's bedroom.

"OW! Shit!" Seungmin rubs his nose. It hurts like hell but he can finally relax now that he's close enough to Hyunjin. He takes a moment to breathe before entering the bedroom. He takes in a sharp breath when he sees Hyunjin on the floor with a pained grimace on his face.

"Oh no. Are you okay?" Seungmin crouches and places his hands on Hyunjin's, gently lowering them so he can examine his face. There's a cut on his cheek. The sight makes Seungmin's stomach lurch in guilt.

"Yeah, just got flung out of the bed and hit my dresser," Hyunjin tells him with a chuckle. "What a wake up call. Jeez. What happened? How did you manage to go so far?"

"I'm so sorry, Hyunjin-ah… I cast a nullifying spell—the simple twenty minute one—but I guess I lost track of time and didn't make it back on time," Seungmin explains, his mood growing sour. "I didn't want to wake you up and all."

"It's okay. That's thoughtful of you, Seungmin-ah. You know you can just wake me up, though," Hyunjin assures him, softly touching Seungmin's chin. "Your… Your nose is bleeding. Did you hit the door?"

"Ah," Seungmin touches his nostril, and indeed there is a tiny drop of blood on his finger. His nose is throbbing. It might get bruised. He isn't looking forward to facing their customers like this, but they'll have to make do. "Let's go to the bathroom, I'll grab a couple of tissues and help you with the cut."

Hyunjin nods wordlessly, so Seungmin holds out his hand to help him up, and he doesn't let go until they reach the bathroom. Seungmin sticks a tissue into his bleeding nostril and helps Hyunjin take care of the cut.

There's something in Hyunjin's eyes this morning that makes Seungmin feel all bashful. He can't quite read the expression from up this close, while treating the small wound on his cheek, but it stays around for some of the day, as they have some food and open up the shop.

It's a day like any other, yet it feels a little different. Even if there wouldn't be a spell forcing them to, Seungmin feels like he'd want to stay close to Hyunjin anyway. He wants to, not only because he feels guilty for causing him pain, but also because he likes the proximity, and he likes working together with him.

At some point in the day, a woman enters the shop with a worried expression. She approaches Hyunjin and Seungmin at the counter, obviously here with a question that is weighing on her mind.

"Hi, Wizard Kim Seungmin and Wizard Hwang Hyunjin. My name is Haewon, and I know you don't do love potions, but I need help," she explains with an awkward chuckle. "I heard that you two work super well together, and I need advice. I've tried everything from flirting to bringing her gifts and listening to her talk and even singing songs with her but I can't tell her how I feel because what if she doesn't feel the same way and I ruin our years of friendship—?"

Haewon takes a deep breath, her cheeks growing a light pink. "Sorry. I am rambling. She's kind of dumb and oblivious but I love her and I need to know if she loves me back before I say anything. Do you have anything I could do to get through to her? I can do some simple spells myself! She likes magic and romance, but I am not romantic enough to think of this by myself."

Seungmin gapes at her, processing the words. She wants their advice on this? Seungmin's heart pounds. He is in a similar situation as Haewon, after all.

"You could of course use a truth potion, but we won't make those, unless you take her here and sign our terms and conditions. You could also try this spell where you can't be more than a couple of steps apart, to see how she reacts in such a situation," Hyunjin suggests with a chuckle. Seungmin snaps his head towards his friend with wide eyes. "But you'll never really know how she feels unless you ask her."

Haewon sighs. "You're right, but that spell does sound kind of fun. How does it work?" she asks, a small grin on her face. Seungmin panics internally—they have no idea how it works, nor how to reverse it. Seungmin slaps Hyunjin's arm and gives him an urgent look.

"I can show you, I will just need to search up the correct notebook, if you have a minute," Hyunjin says, completely ignoring Seungmin's actions. Seungmin feels like he's malfunctioning. Haewon pauses and flicks her gaze between the two of them before replying.

"Yeah, sure. I have a minute," she says. Hyunjin claps his hands.

"Okay! We'll be back in a bit," he says, but Seungmin still has no clue what he's going to give her. They can't lie to customers like this! Seungmin's heart is hammering in his chest as he follows Hyunjin to the back of the shop and into their home.

"Hyunjin-ah, what the heck are you doing? We don't know how this spell works, let alone how to reverse it!" he hisses, following Hyunjin down the living room towards the hall, where their bedrooms are.

"I… I might know," Hyunjin says. Seungmin promptly stops walking. This is the first time Seungmin hears of this. Hyunjin continues until the two of them get pulled together like magnets once again, bumping into each other chest to chest. Hyunjin's eyes are wide in surprise. "Oh! Uhm… You weren't following me?"

"What do you mean you might know?" Seungmin asks, ignoring Hyunjin's question as he takes a small step back so that they're not plastered together. Hyunjin chuckles awkwardly.

"Well—Just come with me. I… I will explain after we close the shop," he promises. Seungmin furrows his brows. Why would Hyunjin keep this from him? It doesn't make any sense in Seungmin's mind. And now he has to wait until they close the shop to hear his explanation! Seungmin loves to think that he's a patient man, but he is being put to the test, these past weeks.

Hyunjin goes into his bedroom and searches through his bookcase and drawers, until he lets out a satisfied noise and grabs a notebook. "I think this is the one…"

"Hyunjin-ah," Seungmin tries, but his throat closes up as he draws a blank on what to say. He can't wrap his head around it. Hyunjin offers him an apologetic look, and he stays silent as he goes back to the shop. Seungmin follows him like a sheep follows its herder.

Hyunjin opens up the notebook and shows it to Haewon. "We haven't tested this, yet, so if you decide to try it, be careful," he explains, pointing at the notes in his notebook. It does look like Hyunjin has researched this before. "This is how you cast the spell—in theory. And then to undo it… Here. And again, this is completely theoretical."

Seungmin's lips twitch down into a scowl. Did Hyunjin only just remember this or has he been keeping this a secret? Haewon hums in thought, pulls out a pocket book of her own and makes a couple of notes. She then gives them a couple of coins and a smile. "I'll think about this, but thank you for your help!"

"Good luck, Haewon-ssi," Hyunjin tells her with a polite smile. Seungmin echoes the same words, but they sound a little empty to his own ears. The put the coins away and Seungmin clears his throat.

"So? What is this about? Where did the notebook come from?" He asks, sounding harsher than he means to be. Hyunjin pulls a sheepish look, neck a reddish color.

"I might have made these notes after reading that romance novel, because I was interested in these spells. I— I didn't know if I had these notes or if I'd lost them, though! But, to be honest, I didn't really try looking for them, either, until now," Hyunjin explains, his voice a little breathy. He seems nervous, and Seungmin doesn't like it.

"Why?" Seungmin asks. That's the most pressing question, between all of the other ones running through his head. Hyunjin presses his lips into a thin line.

"Promise me you won't get upset," he says, looking like he genuinely expects Seungmin to be able to get mad at Hyunjin. That's ridiculous.

"Have I ever gotten genuinely upset with you?" Seungmin softens as he raises his eyebrows. Hyunjin frowns, pursing his lips in thought. He comes up empty, as Seungmin expected, because Seungmin is pretty incapable of being anything but forgiving when it comes to Hyunjin. "I won't get upset. I just… I don't understand."

"Well… I liked being magically bonded with you. I didn't want it to end so soon," Hyunjin mumbles, blinking as his gaze flicks between the floor and Seungmin's eyes. Seungmin's heart stutters. "I swear I was going to search up these notes sometime soon! I just… I was having fun."

"You did? Even though you got hurt?" Seungmin wishes Hyunjin would look him in the eyes properly. There's nothing to be ashamed of, after all. Seungmin knows that Hyunjin is sentimental like this. Hyunjin nods, a lopsided smile on his face, touching the healing cut on his cheek. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Hyunjin swallows, his adam's apple bobbing. "Because, well…" He trails off, biting his lower lip. Seungmin grimaces.

"Were you afraid that I'd get upset?" he asks in a whisper, reaching out to touch Hyunjin's arm. Hyunjin shrugs.

"Not really. Only a little, because… Because I was enjoying pretending we were like the characters in the romance novel. Like we were having a thrilling romance," he mutters. Seungmin gapes at him, freezing. He what?!

"Like we—? Did—? You were…?" Seungmin stammers. Hyunjin hides his face in his hands and groans.

"Ugh! I know. I know. It's embarrassing. It's stupid and selfish. I'm sorry, Seungmin-ah," he says, lowering his hands as he pouts. Seungmin is still frozen, staring at Hyunjin with wide eyes, like a fish out of water. Like a god damn fool! "I just… I hoped you would notice. I kept stepping a little too far away from you so we'd bump into each other again but you weren't super receptive, so I get it. I get the message."

"What? No!" Seungmin exclaims, startling Hyunjin. "What message? You— You said it yourself! You can't know what someone feels until you actually ask them!"

Hyunjin blinks again, his posture opening up. "Then…? How do you feel? Did you really not notice how I was trying to get the most out of the spell? Getting you into my bed and such? I wasn't actually doing my best to be close enough to you while we were showering, either."

"No, I… I guess I was too occupied with trying to mask my own feelings. God, Hyunjin-ah. I… You're… You mean so much to me. You're beautiful and lovely and I could never be upset at you and I might be a fool but I do like you so much," Seungmin rambles, his skin flushing as he looks into Hyunjin's eyes. He's usually good with words, but now he seems to be unable to convey what he feels for Hyunjin.

"Really?! So you were just shy?" Hyunjin's face lights up, eyes widening and his lips spreading into a gorgeous smile. Seungmin shrugs. "Ah, well, so the spell brought us together after all. Thanks for casting it, Seungmin-ah."

"Thank you for holding back the reversal, I suppose," Seungmin replies with a laugh. He reaches out and takes Hyunjin's hand, intertwining their fingers. Hyunjin softens and caresses a thumb along the back of Seungmin's hand. "Although I would like to cast it now that we know how we feel for each other."

"Hmmm…" Hyunjin tilts his head, touching his lips with his free hand. Seungmin's gaze strays towards the movement. Hyunjin smiles, and Seungmin chuckles, squeezing their fingers together.

"Or did you have something else in mind?" Seungmin whispers. Hyunjin smiles a coy smile, and his tongue peeks out to wet his lips. Seungmin's stomach flips. They're still in the shop, and they haven't closed up yet, but Seungmin can't get himself to move away.

He tells himself to hell with it, and he leans forward, cups Hyunjin's jaw, and kisses him. Finally. Hyunjin melts against him, his arms wrapped around Seungmin's middle. He pulls Seungmin impossibly closer, tilts his head to kiss him more deeply, sending a rush of electricity through his body.

Seungmin feels like he's dreaming, like the spell is attracting them towards one another, encouraging them to continue and convey what they feel for each other. Seungmin caresses his thumbs along Hyunjin's warm cheeks, continuing to press kisses on his lips.

Finally, Seungmin can release everything he's been bottling up for no damn reason, and he can finally show Hyunjin. Seungmin isn't as much of a romantic as Hyunjin is, but Hyunjin is a great kisser, and releasing his affection for his dear friend, business partner, fellow wizard and now requited crush feels great. Wonderful, even. Magical.

Unfortunately, Seungmin doesn't have infinite breath, and Hyunjin is quite breath-taking, so he has to part eventually and pause to get some oxygen into his system. Hyunjin looks at him with stars in his eyes. Seungmin can't believe he didn't notice this before.

"Sorry for being a fool," Seungmin whispers, brushing their noses together. Hyunjin shakes his head, caressing a hand along Seungmin's back.

"No worries. I… I should have been honest with you. But then again, this was pretty fun, wasn't it?" Hyunjin replies. The two of them laugh. Seungmin can't deny that he didn't have a good time, being magically bonded to Hyunjin. "A thrilling romance, after all."

"Yeah, right. Well—It was kind of thrilling at some points. And we did have a couple of accidents and a lot of bonding moments. Now let's close the shop, brush our teeth, and kiss some more," Seungmin says, gently patting Hyunjin's cheeks. Hyunjin cackles and pushes Seungmin away, sighing in fake exasperation.

"Always so practical, my lovely Seungminnie," he bemoans. He kisses Seungmin's cheek. "Fine, fine. It'll be better if I have to work for it a little, anyway. But only if you'll be mine, okay?"

"Yeah, of course. I don't plan on being a fool any longer," Seungmin promises, sealing it off with a kiss. Business partner, roommate, dear friend, fellow wizard, and now boyfriend. Awesome.

They close up shop, wash up, and use Hyunjin's notes to reverse the spell. Seungmin would have never guessed that they'd undo this spell as wizards in a relationship, but Hyunjin's sentimental heart always manages to bring Seungmin lovely things.

They spend the rest of the night kissing, still not going apart from each other more than a couple of steps, even though they can. It's nice to be able to pee in peace now, but Seungmin likes being close to Hyunjin for sure.

It'll be good for their store to be able to be apart, as well as for Seungmin's patience, otherwise he thinks he might never stop kissing Hyunjin ever again. But, just to ease out of the spell instead and to put a stamp on their new relationship status, Seungmin invites Hyunjin to sleep in his bed tonight.

"I'd love to, dearest Seungmin~" Hyunjin answers, a wide smile on his face. They still wash up together, brushing their teeth, making eye contact in the mirror and giggling for no damn reason. Even in bed, they can't stop kissing, not even while Hyunjin tries to explain in depth what the romance novel was about and how the wizards in the book compare to him and Seungmin.

It's stupid, it's cheesy, but Seungmin likes it. It's Hyunjin.

His roommate, dear friend, fellow wizard, business partner, boyfriend, and love of his life. And he's pretty sure that they just got their happy ending.
