Duke was about to go upstairs, since he just finished patrol, when he noticed something glowing besides one of the Batcave cabinets. It was a Camara, which would have been completely normal, if it wasn't for it's glow. Duke picked it up and turned it on. Maybe he could figure out who of his siblings left it there.
The videos on the camera confused him though. There where some strangely detailed moments of when the Joker had broken out of Arkham last week. From both their perspective and Joker himself.
"Hey guys?" Duke questioned the others at lunch.
"What's the matter Duke?" Bruce inquired.
"I found this glowing Camera in the cave and it has some concerning Fotoge on it" Duke reported and showed said Camara to the others.
"It doesn't glow for us" Damian pointed out.
"Elaborate" Bruce demanded.
"Well there's Joker directing his goons from last week, some awkward attempt at Tim flirting to his mirror,"
Tim perked up surprised and furrowed his eyebrows.
"An argument about Jason's health, Damian trying to teach kittens how to be an assassin,"
"What!?" Damian exclaimed bewildered and tried to not let his embarrassment show.
"A clip of Alfred just sleeping, There's the Batcow walking around the manor. Oh yeah and the debrief from last night" Duke concluded.
Tim grabbed the Camara and inspected it. It was a more older model. Which he knew for certain none of his siblings have. But it also didn't look like one of his own cameras.
"The Camara doesn't belong to us" Tim declared and looked up at the others.
Everyone at the table knew what this meant and nobody liked it. They were infiltrated and watched. Whoever filmed them also knew there identities, according to the Footage.
Tim connect it to a backup computer, to retrieve the Footage and learn any other software details. What surprised him was that the camera had a firewall and a good one at that. Frustratingly good firewall. Tim spent hours trying to get in, but nothing worked. It was as if the firewall was alive and fighting back.
Barbara also came over and also tried hacking into it. Especially since Tim needed to leave because of a Wayne Enterprise meeting. She only got the whole computer corrupted, because the firewall started to invade it. Which they never came across before.
"So what's it doing now?" Tim asked her on his phone.
"It's playing ping pong" Barbara declared tiredly.
"What the hell is wrong with that camera!?" Tim exclaimed bewildered.
Dani cursed, the stupid Observants summoned her to get Danny to take care of himself again. Which would have been fine, if she hadn't left her beloved Camara in the fruit loop's lair. She had just found this amusing family of vigilantes in this treasure trope of a universe.
Truthfully one of the reasons why she started to record the frankly hilarious antics of the livings was to convince Danny to take a vacation. The camera was actually a birthday gift that Danny made for her himself. So she needed to get it back.
The timing of it all seems suspiciously like clockwork. Because why would the observants summon her the moment she put her Camara down to eat a cookie? Yes, the cookie was stolen from the fruit loop family. Such human deliciousness can't be found that often.
And hey! Don't look at her like that! Fruit loops are still fruit loops it doesn't matter how funny they are. So they could afford a missing cookie or two. So she is completely justified here.
"Huh, you weren't meant to find that..." Dani mused Invisibility.
Barbara turned and looked around bewildered, but there was nothing.
"Hold on Tim, I think there's someone in my room" Barbara told Tim worriedly.
"Truly a shame, you guys are so funny to watch" Dani explained sheepishly as she turned visible.
"Who are you?" Barbara questioned sternly.
Dani came over and grabbed her Camara. She smiled because nothing was broken.
"I am Dani" She introduced himself cheerfully.
"Well Dani, why did you record us?" Barbara questioned as she narrowed her eyes at the teenager in front of her.
"To cheer my brother up. He is overworking himself too much these days. So I show him the recordings from my travels to cheer him up" Dani explained fondly.
"For how long have you been recording us?" Barbara inquired worriedly.
"A month or two, you guys are funny" Dani unplugged the camera from the computer.
"How did we not notice you?" Barbara asked.
Dani smirked. "It's hard for livings to notice the dead, besides Gotham wasn't really against it"
"We can not let you to continue doing this" Barbara declared determinedly.
"Oh, what are you gonna do? Try to catch me? With the curiosity this family has, you could really doom your whole universe. Which would just be such a shame" Dani reasoned smugly.
"What are you talking about?" Barbara asked bewildered.
"My brother hates it when me or anyone from our family get experimented on" Dani stated nonchalant.
"We are not- what the- No!" Barbara exclaimed disturbed.
"Good, thanks for not breaking my Camara" Dani grinned before disappearing.
