Chapter Text
Fuck them all.
After you left your apartment, it started raining hard, and you didn't even have an umbrella, because, of course, who the hell would have thought it would start raining so soon?
You carried your backpack in front of you, hugging it with all your strength.
You were soaking wet from head to toe, you could feel water in your socks, and it was getting on your nerves.
You hadn't even taken your computer out of your backpack, damn it, you were going to kill someone.
You had resigned yourself to not wearing your hoodie's hood anymore, because at this point you looked like a newborn fawn.
You sneezed, swaying in the cold air.
You looked pitiful.
“Damn fat ass, you have a car and you send me to your house in the fucking rain,” you cursed under your breath, looking like an idiot.
The sun had been setting on the horizon of the bridge, and those who continued walking with their expensive umbrellas and all that shit crossed to the other sidewalk to avoid you.
You looked like someone who could give you a disease just by getting close to you.
Pitiful.
The area around the stone bridge was filled with the sound of the river flowing shortly after. If you looked down, the moon would illuminate some nearby pebbles with its inappropriate light. Just like the weeds.
The trees around you made you feel like you were the only human on earth. But no way, you'd already seen a drunk fall flat on his ass in the rain, so all that cheap drama didn't bother you.
You crossed the last stretch of the stone bridge, exhaling.
What a mess.

You pressed the doorbell.
The house was a beautiful two-story building with an old wooden porch that protected you from the downpour.
You wondered if it would be a good idea to call William.
You looked up at the window, but you couldn't see much through the curtain. That curtain was always dusty, for some reason.
You squinted, trying to see beyond what the slightly transparent floral fabric allowed you to see. The blurry reflection of a piece of furniture and a table, but that was all you could make out.
“That guy wants me to freeze to death,” you complained as the wind made you shiver.
You had never liked the idea of coming to William's house. You just didn't belong there.
Although his grandmother was nice.
You stared at the wood, as if there was something interesting about it.
“Hey...”
You let out a gasp, taking a step back and falling on your ass when you tripped over your feet.
Your eyes closed in a grimace at the sound of your computer hitting the inside of your backpack.
Son of a bitch.
That's all you could think.
You looked up at the window with William's damn ugly face.
“DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!” you gasped.
The front door opened.
William poked his head out from the doorway, wearing a striped sweatshirt, looking like a strange character from Alice in Wonderland.
“Come in, brother, you're going to freeze.”
You gave him a death stare.
William went back inside.
God, you wanted to strangle him.
You slowly stood up, pulling your backpack with a resigned sigh.
You blinked as a yellow note was cruelly crushed under your shoe.
Click me.
You tilted your head.
“Are you coming?”
You shook your head, walking toward the door.
“Yeah, yeah, shut up already.”
