Chapter Text
Dawn was drawing its course to its west side of earth’s atmosphere. As Cosmic Steller drove on the gravelly roads. The forests were dense in these specific parts of Washington’s woodlands. And it was becoming dark to see, clouds swarm like a blackhole was forming. And his night vision mode is disabled. Frag that glitch back there.
“Quamar! Can you read! Or hear?- Some pile of bolts are behind me. Chasing my tailpipes, brother.” His engines steamed with energon. And Cosmic is trying to outrun the miscreant cons.
Worse, Cosmic Steller is alone. In an area he is not familiar with. This state’s growing nature is huge for this shorter bot to see over the rich grove of trees. Implying that he would get surrounded if he does not keep rolling. Just keep it up, even if you burn yourself.
He must keep running. He must keep avoiding.
Quamar Breaker have not answered his distress call. So the only way to not get captured by the rogue twins. He will quickly summon a portal to somewhere to rest.
He just need to be far from range. Enough to buy time to locate his team.
“THERE HE IS BROTHER, WE SHALL HUNT, WE SHALL DENT, LITTLE SCRAPS DECEASED TO CHIPS” He hears the roars. And they are hungry to destroy his aft. Maybe using that old metal pipe wasn’t the move to do.
“Scrap it!-” Transforming to his robot mode. Activating the transition to teleport out of America's Washington state. As the bright beam circles into an oval. Rounding particles of the matter Quamar has invented. He’s a genius on many levels
Cosmic did not wait to be rip apart. Spiriting to the portal as he disappears, so does the portal. Leaving no way to search the transmission. Good enough til they smell his energon.
Cosmic’s legs ran, his wheel arch is cramped with all the driving. One Fender is sliced. The fella’s muscles remain in a panic state. Before he knew it, he felt a burst of reality crashing into him. Literally.
Cosmic landed somewhere, it was a light base. Not their’s, and that’s what he is worried about. Oh scraps, who is he laying on top?
“Oh my! Seem’s the groundbridge have brought another bot of our kind!” The blue bot said, retracking his visor. Seeing orange optics look behind them.
Sometimes Quamar is an idiot too. How in the allspark did he end up here.
Taking a moment to suck in the surroundings, clean, refrain, and comfortable with furniture and decorations hung around the area. Not like his team’s base, they have nothing like this since they lack the material and use of what humans do on these objects.
“Intruder! Tell me who you are, what your mission is, and where you came from. Oh…And why are you in our home.” Cosmic immediately turn his head to the fire truck. Oh Primus, this is not the best introduction. How did he got here? Does not matter, Cosmic Steller needs to survive until he’s found. Before this one jumps them.
“I’m deeply sorry, uh- for entering your base. This was an accident. So excuse my unexpected entry.” Cosmic Steller stands up, waving to the bot.
As Cosmic analyzes what he is up with. They notice a forgotten insignia printed on their chassis. Were they not executed when Cybertron fell?
“Wait- Are you, are you a Rescue Bot? A rescue unit, alive? I thought, well, told your side was erased in the war.” That came out blunt. As that face that glared down Cosmic was unsettling. Eyes be watching you in the stars.
The bot growled. Was it because he offended them, or dismissing the questions the taller one wanted? It feels like the red one is getting redder.
“Heatwave! Your scaring him. Calm down, maybe they are friendly.” A small blonde human shouted from afar, behind the silver bench they ducked under. Brown fur jacket, with a pine forest green shirt. It was a sparkling- err- human child. That was the term. If he remembers correctly, he needs to listen more now.
“Urghh, stand down, Cody. Until we determine if this bot is a threat.” Returning a protective look back at him. Now he is the attention in the room.
“I am a autobot- well- became one- okay that makes it bad- I promise, my personal groundbridge have mistakenly send me here. I mean no harm on you, or the humans in this room at all.” Twiggling his digits. He feels like Scarplets are eating his circuits with the way he is anxious. Those orange optics, it was so angry.
“Heatwave, maybe this is a nice bot. Oh! Maybe a member of Optimus’s team! Is Bumblebee here?! OR COMING?” A bubbly bot appears, seeing a hood and roders. And bright orange- They seem amiable. Not bad, not bad.
Heatwave groaned, his secretive detective skills will not be at work now. Groaning. Guess the way it went was not how he anticipated. Still, Heatwave was certainly persistent. And the police bot dusted themselves, walking to Heatwave’s side of the room. Now he has all the space to see.
“Okay, lets start simple, don’t answer, I will consider taking measures to secure you. Now…Name.” Pointing at Cosmic. Ouch, this bot has no milli-cycle to let his poor aft off the pleasure chart.
“My name is Cosmic Steller, and I am here for no reason but to escape someone who threatens my spark to go offline. I just need shelter till further notice of my distance—- Team, out there. On an exploration for more resources.” Is what they plan to spill. Uncovering their face was bright crystal optics, remnant of a hot pink that symbolize change.
“Who could this culprit be harassing you?” The bot balled their fist with eyelids expressing the need to arrest them “breaking Criminal Code 264, under section 646.9 Penal Code for intending following suspiciously, and secondly, the process injuring a victim’s safety.”
Big on rules, noting this bot is strict by how they tone it. Better not speed too fast. He needs to install brakes in case he loses control.
“Have you heard the name, Rogue Silnex? Bot who craves for thrill of shrieks, energon spills, and using their bare servos to tear your spark out of your chambers?”
“That is not a welcoming description for children!”
“N-no, never heard of that guy. But sounds like a very awful bot to mangle with.”
“Eahhhh, scary…”
“You bots never heard whoever this bot is?” Cody was curious about the origins of this energon thirsty Cybertrian. And one question is; are they a energon eater the bots encounter when trying to rescue the abandoned space-craft.
Cosmic Steller was thinking he has to tell a long story. Its gonna take a whole steller cycle- okay, its not that dramatic(Mhm, lots of terrible things has happened).
“I only know that… My former colleague was the one who supposedly built them- Somehow has two plural bots in there, sparks?- Not getting so deep in that. But something went wrong, and they really feed on energon. Like they would bite you no matter the cost. They live for the hunt,” Pausing. “He was created before I spawned in. But yeah. I just need a place to contact my new team.”
“Heatwave, maybe they could stay for a little until they are safe to go?” The little one rested a hand at the leg of the fire truck. Cody had a good heart. But Heatwave was cautious about this new bot stepping in his family's home.
Don’t think his words went well. If they could sweat. He would be right now. He shouldn't have gone alone. He could endanger his new team. A place to have.
Cosmic Steller watched the three bots, and the human talk together. Having a conversation about him. Discussing his presence here. Hmm, yeah. He is a stranger in their home. Is what he observed. Home, nice.
The four were done huddling there. Looking back at him. Hope it is good decision.
“Okay, on conditions of not causing trouble, keep a low profile, and let me know or my team where you are. I am gonna get in touch with Optimus and he will know where your fate lies.” Heatwave spoke, his voice was serious. For once can a bot be chill around here?
But its better than what other options he would of been put under with. Better than nothing. And they seem like pacifists. Wait, Optimus? Thee Optimus Prime?
“Cool! A new bot here, and nice shade of blue. Noble.” The kid is quite cheerful. With a welcoming smile. Maybe he is a good place to take refuge.
“Oooh! We are getting new bots everyday! I can show you TV, Oh Oh OH! O-or maybe some cardboard games, or video games! I can do a tour around the firehouse. I be your guide. Name’s Blades! With a ‘s’ and no ‘z’ is how its spelled.” He did a giddy grin. Waving their hands.
This one has the energy to be this sweet. How can he? Is what Cosmic Steller wonders. Despite it, they seem, happy. Like they aren’t worried for their lives each klik.
Now, maybe he can relax for a moment. Except one thing, where is he?
“Uh, why hello Blades. May I ask where am I? The red bot I heard their name is- uhm- ‘Heatwave’- that they say we are in some firehouse. But, where is this whole area located? If I can ask?... I am unsure if one of the members of my team could find me here. And that they may be worried.” He hopes Quamar Breaker or Photovoltaic could find him. Or any of his team mates in that matter.
“Oh! Well, don’t worry. This place issss— Let’s say it has its quirks. But otherwise— WELCOME TO GRIFFEN ROCK!” Pulling the lever as a lift beneath them rises the platform out of the bunker.
As the platform stopped moving, he was taken outside of the huge doors to see outside. Oh for the meches. Quamar Breaker would have loved this place if he were here. Because technology was filled across the perimeter. Quamar be immerse with this area the fact that it is so his code of interest.
“My brother would have loved this place.”
”Brother?”
“Someone I consider close, something the humans have you know.”
“Yeah, it just– Surprise me! That’s all! But it’s not weird at all!-- I also consider people close like family.”
“Mhm.”
Blades dragged them to the basketball court, then Helicopter pad, and the race tracks behind. This cybertrian is very enthusiastic, something about Blades makes Cosmic have their spark ache. Something innocent in those optics, or how their frame is all fine at the end of the cycle. Though, just be happy this bot is having a fun time. And he might also enjoy it here too if he could visit this area.
It was slightly more bright out, just that he saw the sun now going to its course. Oh, timezones, he forgets this isn’t his planet. But it has lights out, and stars to gaze on. Cosmic’s feet are probably on the verge to collapse and go into stasis.
“Hey, uh, can we– Is there a place where we could rest?”
“Oh! Oh you must be tired, heh heh. Yeah sure, to the bunker! We have pillows, blankets, and couches! The house is decked, especially my plushie collections of squish mellows.”
“Hm, nice. That is, an interesting hobby.”
As the two walked back in the firehouse. Now three more humans and one more bot, that was green, and bulky built. Have arrived at the place on the main floor of the apartment. This family is certainly a big amount. A force together.
“Blades, are you showing around our new guest, even when it's almost dawn?” An older human, dressed in a law outfit. With duty boots. And grey hair, with a mustache. One thing for sure, it was one of those cop people.
“Ah, yes! They might as well see abit. Make it fun! Or just making them comfortable.”
There was one with orange ginger hair, a yellow drape coat, with straps on. And second is one with other visors for better seeing, with a blue stone jacket, and lastly, a dark rouge hair, with a different tone of grey and orange markers on the suit. A pilot.
The rest of the group came, there is so many humans and bots to meet in one day. Can everything go nicely for once? Apparently, the universe denies that. What will be next in this vast galaxy? No bot knows!
“Hello, Cosmic Steller. The bots have informed me about your unexpected arrival. So as Heatwave said; your staying here until further notice. Oh, the name’s Chief Charlie Burns.” A captain of a team. This may go smoothly better than what he had before.
“A-Aslong he doesn’t make a wreck inside the firehorse. That’s fine!”
“Wow, a new bot. And clearly not from Optimus’s team. So probably a bot hiding in Earth’s geographic spaces.”
“Another Blurr and Salvage moment guys? But exciting! Guess things are really changing.”
Sweet as the interaction is. He still thinks about his team back at base. He desperately needed to let their comrades know he is no longer in danger. And find where he is currently. The crystal bot sense of going alone and being separated was not the brightest idea.
“Thank you so much, Chief Charlie Burns. I wanted to ask if there is some possibility I could communicate with my team. Just to- uhm— assure that their member of their group is still active.”
“Of course, we understand that you are stressed about four friends who are searching for you.” Leading a hand to come forward, to follow.
Thank the allspark he came to a civil place. And not be captured under any horrible bot’s foot.
He was gonna finally go home soon, maybe a day or two? Cosmic hopes his team is still fighting, researching, and are in perfect condition. The thought of losing those that are close to him would be a shame. Not being there is a tragicity he never wants to face. Never.
Cosmic Steller stands on the elevator shaft. As Chief was heading to the smaller compartment for humans. While the rest are heading up stairs for the night. Omit from the pilot. Heading to the copter pad. Assuming it is a routine. Following suit was Blades running over.
Few things to think about. That is alright. Why does he worries that the bad things are gonna catch up to him again. As much he wishes the power to erase the previous segment of trauma out of this whole universe. It was the reason he got to grow out more. He is not what the past of him is now. And he has bots, Friends, many as much he has left to rely on. Even with that, life is still a scrap heap. Just scared, that comfort zone is gonna blow up in one cycle.
RING RING.
“W-W-what was- was— THAT!” Masking his faceplate. Flinching at the sudden alarm.
He heard distortions, a speaker was getting ready to be turn on. And that does not sound like good news.
“Team, an unknown mineral or metrite is heading down to Griffin Rock. I want all of us to report this to Doc, and have the dome set. If that fails, avoculate to the mountain shelters. We have no idea what it is carrying.”
What in the name of Alpha Trion. This team is rescuing duty. And a good reason to get out.
“Cosmic Steller. Remain in the firehouse. We will handle this.”
Platform raising down as Chase, Boulder, and Heatwave aboard the metal machinery. Lifting the bots up. Bet Blades got the message and is on patrol alerting the civilization here.
“Better take cover underground of the firehouse until we know its safe, Cosmic Steller,” Heatwave transforming to his truck mode. His partner, and the other older kids hopping on their respected cabs.
“Rescue Bots, transform, and roll out!”
Hearing Heatwave yell. And there they drove off out the building. In the deep navy blue sky. Is this what the humans mean by “You jinx it?”.
It was nervewrecking that problems will happen no matter how good the things are done. Its out of control. Out of his hands, now he thought about it. A meteor coming right when he got to this… area? Island Blades said. He swore that his sensors detected it. Or a object approaching.
Cody went down the fire pole. Sliding the steel to the first floor.
“Hey, Cosmic Steller. You wanna watch the team? Since we have nothing to do right now.”
How considerate of the kid. Kneeling to where Cody can see a much more non-painful neck ache. And this will be a good opportunity to know the people he is being taken under their wing. And a rescue crew! How cool is that? Ha, he wonders how these bots reacted to the fall of their kind. Concerning idea.
“It be a pleasure! Where are we viewing this?”
“To the command center, its bigger for you bots. And screen looking, hehe. Let’s go underground.”
“Ughhh, feels like I am going back and forth with this trip.”
“Yeah, sorry about that. I saw Blades was playing tour guide. He's a very energetic bot to be around, but that is what makes him lovable! I love him.”
Cosmic Steller hummed, as they look up to their surroundings. Paintings held, safety equipment, human clothing lying around. Oh eww it stinks– and some lab tools. This team has almost everything they ever need. Fire extinguisher, fire blanket, First Aid, engineer supplies, the whole set for rescue work procedures.
Cody reaches for the button, as the shaft lowers down once more. And hopefully the last time.
As he hears the doors close and covering the space above. There was sounds of splashing outside. Rain as this planet created with the clouds in the atmosphere? Well, sure be wet out there then. No big deal!
“Oh- rain is coming to your way, guys.” Cody pressed on the com tab. But no signal was there, for because no one from his family said a word.
Is that a bad thing?
