Summary
The Palais Garnier has finally reopened in Paris! For years, it had been used as a time capsule–more a museum than anything, but for the first time in over one hundred years, the stage will be full of music and dancing again. What better way to christen the reopening than by a performance of the rumored tragedy that forced its doors to close so long ago?
Leah has been hired on to play Carlotta, with her full figure and her classical training. She is overjoyed, though rumors have begun to swirl about the return of the Ghost. Despite the difficulty of dealing with constant halts to the production and a diva with the main role, she persists. This could be her big break, after all!
Erik has been haunting the Garnier for over a century. He has grown rather bored, until the Grand Reopening is announced. He is indignant at first, the play based around his sordid “love affair” was nothing more than an insult! The leading lady is a fine singer, but it is hardly opera.
