Arthur Lester, professor in the music department, has a steady and comfortable life. After a rough couple of years, he's finally gotten his ducks in a row and has steady work, steady friends, and a family (as non-standard as it is).
He's comfortable with putting his past behind him, until he's reunited with someone who saw him at his worst. And because fate has a sense of humor, he keeps fucking running into him.
