   Summary

   Jim Kirk is a NASA astronaut assigned a very special mission -- to pilot a one-man craft into a part of space no human has ever ventured before. What is supposed to be a quiet month-long mission is quickly disrupted when an unknown force launches his small craft dangerously off course and hurtling towards the surface of a distant planet. Jim survives the crash, but he soon discovers that he is not alone, and his only hope of getting home may be the stoic stranger who pulled him from the wreckage.
