Chapter Text
One may go down a rabbit hole.
Some usually travel far and wide.
But for me I travel where ever the feathers may lead to...
I usually travel on my own, I do not have a mindset where I only stay in one place. Usually I wonder why I even force myself to go beyond my point in life. I'm now alone far from where I'm supposed to be. The mines scare me a bit, usually when your in the mines. You travel in groups. I prefer to stay on my own since groups make my anxiety more worse.
Later that morning...
"Aye, Paul!"
Paul turns to look "You called Ringo?" He looks at Ringo a bit puzzled.
Ringo shifts his body off the horses and puts the rope back around the fence to keep the horse in place. "You left this journal back at me place. Made sure to keep the book closed since your so personal about your stuff." Ringo chuckles out and grins.
Paul blushes in embarrassment "Its nothing bad I swear! I usually just note down what I did throughout the day. I'm not some guy who looks at woman all day." Paul lets out a chuckle and sighs, he places his equipment down and relaxes against the craft table.
"Well you are a woman pleaser if you look at yourself when you talk to the birds." Ringo walks over to Paul and pats his shoulder, "Y'know you shouldn't be at the mines at night, super late? The creepers and zombies will bite ya' and explode ye' equipment and your own self. Thats how you died in the first place..." He shifts a bit uncomfortable and puts a hand on his arm to comfort himself a bit. "Sorry if I said to much, y'know me mouth goes on and on forever and forgets boundaries... Though, Paul why are you even trying to go into the mines at night, you usually hang around the mines at mornin'."
Paul looks at him like hes got an arrow in his head "Ringo you do know that I'm part owl right? Ever since I died to a stupid mob, and seeing that owl. It brought back my soul to being part owl. I don't even have a choice y'know." He looks at him a bit pissed and shifts more away "Besides George usually mines with me at night, but I guess tonight hes not coming to the mines."
"Paul I have to make sure George is feelin' up for that stuff, he's been iffy about the mines for some reason lately. He says theres a person that lives in the mines. Not sure if hes insane or not." Ringo looks away a bit out of it.
Paul looks a bit weirded out but ignores it "I'll be fine. Besides I have perfect senses, hearin', and me eye sight is on point better than before' Paul gives Ringo a smile that reassures him.
Ringo smiles back but still feels a bit uncomfortable for Paul going out at night "Well please do take precaution in the mines, and have supplies. You don't know if you get a second chance out being here in the world. I already feel icky about you being in the mines again after what happened."
"Ringo I'll be fine, trust me I have everything in control. Anyway its getting dark I'll be heading out, take care!" Paul grades his equipment, and grabs the essentials he needed. He makes sure to break down the craft table and puts it into his bag.
Paul gives a small wave and starts to walk off into the distance.
Clunk.
Crack.
Clink.
Paul lets a huff out. He looks around himself and sees that hes gotten a few diamonds in his bag, he smiles to himself for a bit. He sits on the ground and places his equipment on the side where he can still reach it.
"See Rings I can handle mining all by myself!" He yells out but not too loud, making sure to not attract mobs or disturb anything around him. Paul felt his wings ear twitch from a weird sound.
Huff.
What was that?...
Sigh.
Was that a sigh?...
Scratch.
Paul gets off the ground and takes his equipment up, making sure to grab his sword. He turns quickly to where he heard the noise.
"Hello? Is anyone there? Do you need something?" Paul yells out at the dark tunnel in the mines. Paul shifts in a more battle stance but feels himself tremble holding the sword.
He swallows thickly. He darts his eyes everywhere. He hears his own heart beat. All he can hear is the noises around him.
He felt his ear wings shift a bit as his wings on his waist felt vibration. He feels his heart beating fast than before. Bump. Bump. Bump.
"Who's there!? Show yerself!"
A tall figure. About 7ft maybe? A face that looks like covered in makeup to look like heavy metal. A hood around him, a weird sweater that the sleeves were rolled up and you could even see the bandages. There seemed to be a scarf of some sort? The scarf seemed woren and teared. The features on the face seemed human but the hands had claws. Sharp black claws. Though, something was even more creepier. The smile. The smile that was splayed in front of Paul.
The figure moved forward from the shadows. He approached Paul and moved swiftly upclose and personal to Paul.
Paul couldn't believe what he was looking at, he felt his whole body run cold. He couldn't breathe, his breath started to hitch, feeling a sense where his throat tightened.
Why can't I move. My body feels like a rock. Everything hurts. I feel all lightheaded. What is happening. Why couldn't I just listen to Ringo.
"You shouldn't be here." The voice speaks. It had a weird rough tone to it, kind of nasally. It seemed to have a softer touch to it.
Paul felt his whole body tremble and jump at the sudden voice that came out of the tall figure.
Pauls mouth had started to move on his own and used his vocals without even knowing what he asked for "I-I come in peace! What's... whats ye' name?..." Paul felt his body grip the sword tightly but he lost balance and pushed himself up against a wall to balance himself from fainting on the ground.
The figure moves and lifts its arm up. Paul looked down to see an ax. The figure has an ax. An ax that would immediately kill you if you even attempted to stop a weapon like that.
The figure moved his head down to Pauls level and moved close to his ear. Paul could feel the figures breath on his neck and as Paul was ready to hit in defense the figure then started to speak in his ear camly. "Names John. John Lennon."
"You don't belong here." The figure backed away and slowly moved off of Paul.
"Well, John. Sorry for intruding your space. I'll be making my l-leave..." Paul shifted away and felt fear rise against his own will. "Please do forgive me, and again I'll be making me leave..." Paul grabbed his equipment and made a run for it.
All Paul could do was get home and sleep it off, thinking all this was a dream.
Once Paul made it out he let out a huff and started to slowly make his way back home. He felt a bit more comfortable outside. He let out a small chuckle thinking it was just a joke.
...
John had made his way out of the mine and to the entrance. He looked at where Paul had been walking before. He let out a small chuckle. He shifted his eyes to the feather in his hand. He slowly put his finger to the feather and gave it a small pet.
He looked back up and had smiled wide.
"Looks like I found my new bird to play with..." John retreats back into the mines and lets out a laugh out loud.
...
Paul thinks to himself.
It's a dream after all right?
Right?...
