Chapter Text
It's December in Featherville! And naturally, Dante would want to visit Faust. Dante is Faust's best friend. They have heard some things about Featherville, seemed like a nice place. It was tourist attraction mostly for the unholy amount of birds it had, apparently. Dante had never even searched up Featherville on any Web browser before, they weren't that curious. But a few days before their trip, they decided to look at some pictures. And dear God, that was a lot of birds. Well, the area where Faust lived didn't have too many birds, but they were sure as hell still there. In fact, they had wondered who could even live in a place that has so many goddamn birds. Well they're not trying to directly insult anyone who lives there but it wasn't their cup of tea. But no matter how much they wanted to resist it, they must go, because Faust was waiting. And disappointing Faust is not something you wanna do.
A day before the trip, Dante called Faust. It was clear that she was extremely eager.
F: "Are you excited?! It'll be your first time at Featherville!"
D: "I guess. I mean the amount of birds..."
F: "You'll get used to it!"
Dante sighed. They didn't even like birds, let alone a whole town full of them. "The birds should go fuck themselves." Dante thought. But they also thought of the Town's redeeming qualities, like the fact that they have a lot of cheap and good health care, but honestly, they just really didn't like the birds. Plus, it was gonna be really cold there since it was December. And Dante hates the cold. They were sure they were gonna hate this trip and probably never go back, but hey, atleast Faust will be there.
The morning they arrived, they were exhausted, exhausted, exhausted oh and well, exhausted. Or atleast that's how they would describe it. Faust was waiting for them, practically jumping up and down. And you know who else was waiting for them? Yea, it was none other than birds. Since there was no going back now, they would just have to embrace it. What an odd request for someone like them. Dante was used to being alone, so having all this going on around them? Yeah no. Dante was tired of all this, and they just arrived. Faust, on the other hand, was eager to show Dante around Featherville. She practically dragged them all the way 'round Town. At last, they arrived at Faust's area of town. It looked a bit odd, but not too odd. Faust owned a shop there. In fact, it was the only shop there. In fact, it was the only shop there. Dante found it weird, but it was a small part of Featherville after all. A few birds approached them, and Dante was very annoyed. I mean, they didn't come for any bird watching. After a bit of walking, Faust pointed to a house near a small café and told Dante that that was her house. It was getting dark, thus Faust got her keys out and opened the door. She switched on the light and fetched Dante some water. "You know Dante, Featherville is a really beautiful place. You should visit more often!" Faust said. Dante didn't say anything. Inside, they were scoffing at the mere thought of ever coming back to a place like this. "Faust, you only have one bed. Where am I gonna sleep?" Dante said. Even though this was completely off topic, Faust didn't hesitate to answer immediately. "Ah, well I was just about to say that you could sleep at one of my friends place for today. Its just for today!" She replied.
D: "Who is this friend of yours?"
F: "He's a bit of an introvert, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind! His name is Yi Sang."
D: "Ah.. does he have any birds...?"
F: "I think so."
D: "Maybe it isn't the best place for me..."
F: "I don't think you can go anywhere without there being a bird or two.."
D: "Seriously?"
F: "If you want, you could stay at the desert Hotel??"
D: "Sure, I guess."
Faust opened the door, and out they went. She carried a flashlight with her, just in case.
F: "Featherville is beautiful!! It truly is! Believe me, Dante."
D: "Sure Faust, but what to you guys do to get some exotic animals here?"
F: "Well one of the best things about Featherville is that the exotic animals are mostly just birds."
Dante looked like they were internally cringing. "Seriously?" They must've thought. But maybe after all this, they'll like birds a bit more. Faust led them to this place where it you looked like you could've bet $10 that this could be used for a cowboy fight scene if it weren't for all the snow. "Odd," thought Dante. But wouldn't dare say it out loud.
F : "So do you wanna stay here?"
D: "It's better than my previous option."
F: "Ah so, yes then?"
D: "Yes."
Faust was relieved. And even though it was late, Dante still got to stay for a night. Only thing was that it was freezing cold and snowing outside.
