After Regect got his burden off his chest, he felt things would go back to normal yet still had his fears. His friends gave him gentle reassurances along the way back but he still felt like it wasn’t enough. He didn’t want to lose them for something stupid like this.
He especially felt dumb for the way he was acting now…being vulnerable.
As they returned to Fonte’s house, Regect hesitated as he focused on the floor, his tail slowly sweeping against the purple carpet. “So…I guess you guys hate me now..” The entity mumbled.
He watched as Ze looked between the three of them, then hummed in thought. Regect anticipated the worst to come but was instead met with simple questions.
“So, you still work for the daemon?”
“...No.”
Ze got closer.
“Are you ever planning on going back?”
“No! Never, ever!”
Ze got closer.
God he was so close. Regect felt like he was doing this on purpose just to tease him or something. Ze knew exactly what made him tick; especially small things like this. He could see it in the player’s eyes, the way they had that certain glint in them whenever he was doing something purposeful.
It was bothering Regect that he couldn’t figure out what or why he was doing this. Especially with how it was affecting him.
he felt so pathetic.
There was a beat,
Then Ze moved impossibly close to him and snuck in a peck, just before hitting him to mask that that ever happened between them. It felt like the moment ended just as quickly as it started. Regect hated the way that he wanted more.
“OW,” Regect hissed, flinching.
“Alright, No we don’t hate you man.” Ze reassured, Moe honking along with him in agreement.
Regect was definitely going to think about this later tonight.
