“Fuck off, man, you were supposed to—why the fuck did you close it?”
Jesus Christ, Regect has had enough of talking in circles with this guy. He isn’t surprised; this is how a good ninety-percent of his conversations with Z culminate. “Uh, because you’re an idiot and forgot to shut your door? Why else?”
Z looks like he’s bitten into a lemon for a moment. Regect almost laughs until he spots how tightly Z’s hands are clenched at his sides, a nervous tic of his. They’re supposed to be angry at each other, aren’t they? “I thought you were going to come in,” confesses Z in the world’s smallest voice.

Ze is finally found after days of searching for him. But in
the middle of their sleep, he begins sleepwalking. Regect follows him and after he wakes up they smooocchhh because they're fucking idiots and they missed each other and they don't want to lose each other.This is stupid and sappy and sweet and also my first time writing people making out so uhh sweats

Regect too has a function.

While Moe and Z are out together, Regect is left alone and haunted by memories of someone they can't seem to forget, the past creeping in and unraveling them piece by piece. At the very least they still have someone to lean on that they can rely on.

Summary
He makes an executive decision to maneuver them up to his room in order to avoid coming up with an explanation for Moe as to why exactly Z is breaking down all over him. He can’t figure out the reason himself—Z hasn’t formulated one coherent sentence and he obviously is hardly aware that Regect is here. He wouldn’t be caught dead hugging Regect otherwise.

There were sort of unwritten rules written for these entities like himself. Their purpose was to terrorise peasant humans in their own way; Stalking, seeking, terrorising- Until they eventually scatter away, never to return again. Once they succeed, they are able to travel to another world, repeating their torment once again.
People never question these strange entities in an equally strange world. The only thing that ever matters is how you choose to treat these phenomena.
And Regect's first friend does things differently.
