One of Wilbur’s hands comfortingly rubbed his back, the other holding the back of Tommy’s head. He felt Wilbur place a kiss on the top of his head.
“It’s alright, little mongoose. You’re safe here. You’re resilient and you never let bad things harm you. As our Lord has written, we shall not fear evil for He is with us walking beside us. You will come out safe on the other side, sweetheart, so long as you never give up your faith.”
