“Aw, hey, little guy, watcha got there?”
Lucifer crouched down in front of Geo, who was sitting in the middle of the hallway. He was babysitting the boy today and had just set him on the bed for two seconds when he got down and crawled out of the room without him noticing. He hadn't gone far, but boy, he was a fast crawler.
Geo giggled from under the giant sunhat that sat on his head. The rim was so wide that it basically swallowed his head whole.
Lucifer adjusted the hat so it wasn't over the little boy's eyes.
“Where did you find this? I swear I didn't bring it with me. It was Lilith’s, ya know?” The king's smile dropped at the memory of his wife.
“Hm?” Geo cooed in confusion.
“Right, you don't know about her yet,” Lucifer said before scooping Geo into his arms. “How about we go back to my room and have some ice cream? We can listen to The Great Quacksby soundtrack if ya want.”
Geo squealed loudly at the promise of ice cream. The sunhat fell over his eyes again as Lucifer grimaced.
“How can such a small thing like you make such a big noise,” he pondered as he adjusted the hat on Geo's head.
