The world is advancing, and so is technology. Technic every day something new comes out, something new to learn, something new to discover. That's only good for the Fount of Knowledge not to lose his integrity over time. It's very hard for Shadow Milk to get bored these days compared to centuries ago when people were just stupid and nothing evolved.
A few days ago, Candy Apple and Black Sapphire told Shadow Milk about how the world has evolved over time. To let him know about the new knowledge he missed while he was sealed in the Silver Tree. They were very eager to teach him everything they knew and Shadow Milk became very curious to hear about all of this.
So he ended up installing an app and since he's the Fount of Knowledge, he doesn't need help on how it works. Of course he doesn't. He's supposed to know everything and never make mistakes. So he's not going to ask for the assistance of his two loyal minions who are technically like his children, but he won't admit it yet. He's decided to make a group chat... with the intention of it being private. Nothing will go wrong. He's already very sure of how this app is supposed to work and he's going to do it the way he thinks it should be.
With this power in his hands, he wonders who his first victim will be. Clearly his mind isn't thinking about Pure Vanilla and he's clearly not starting to see if Pure Vanilla has an account on CookieChat. Clearly he's not immediately sending a group invite to Pure Vanilla. Absolutely clearly he's not feeling his cheeks burning from blushing and feeling the need to move around the room to somehow get the energy out of his body. Absolutely clearly, he's not waiting anxiously and excitedly, checking every two seconds whether or not Pure Vanilla has accepted his invitation.
He felt the needed to eat his phone or scratch something with his claws, waiting for Pure Vanilla to respond to his invitation. It felt like an eternity had passed, hours, days, even years. Then he heard a notification and Shadow Milk's face lit up instantly, checking his phone and seeing that Pure Vanilla had accepted his invitation in less than a minute.
Shadow Milk sank into his bed, his phone in front of his eyes, staring for minutes at the notification that Pure Vanilla had accepted his invitation to his group. When he finally comes back to earthbread from his happiness, he immediately started writing. He wanted to be the first to send a message to the other. He didn't want to let Pure Vanilla be the first to write to him.
No way, he didn't want to let his other half of Cookie be ahead of him with anything or anything in general. He always had to be first, to be ahead of someone else.
Beast de Deceit: Hi, Nilly!
Maybe he could have come up with something more creative or dramatic, but he didn't feel like he had time to write to him. He felt too pressured to be the first to write. So he replied as quickly as possible. All just so Pure Vanilla wouldn't reply first!
Have the Faith: *sends heart emoji*
Have the Faith: Bluebird, I'm glad you found me here. I didn't know you used CookieChat.
Shadow Milk ignored his cheeks warming with the jam. Why does Pure Vanilla have to be annoyingly cute? Why? Why can't he ever be like a normal cookie and hate him? He's so annoying and he hates him so much. He's Pure Vanilla's number one hater.
He glared at the left side of the screen, where he could see Pure Vanilla's face. Pure Vanilla was smiling at him in the corner of the screen. What was so funny about him? Shadow Milk blushed even more as he stared at Pure Vanilla's eyes that seemed to sparkle at the way he looked at him with so much adoration.
Beast de Deceit: Stop exaggerating and stop looking at me like that. That's pathetic.
Shadow Milk saw that Pure Vanilla started writing and he growled that he was waiting. Why was it taking so long to reply? What was he writing there? The suspense was killing him. If they were talking face to face, they wouldn't have this problem.
As he waited for him to write, Shadow Milk couldn't help but notice how Pure Vanilla's golden hair slid a little over his face. How Pure Vanilla was concentrating on what he was writing. How he was smiling while writing.
Shadow Milk hated himself for this...
Have the Faith: Aw, that's nice. It still means we can talk anytime. Isn't that lovely?
That's all? Is that all he waited for minutes for Pure Vanilla to text him? Why is it so hard to communicate over text? That's ridiculous...
Beast de Deceit: Don't make me regret sending you the invitation!!!
Have the Faith: But you don't regret this! :D
At least for this time the message came much faster and he didn't have to wait so long. Shadow Milk didn't realize he started moving his feet kicking them in air while he was looking at the chat.
Shadow Milk started typing. He was trying to rub his face to calm the blush on his cheeks. That was a little annoying. At least Pure Vanilla wasn't here to see him... wait. He can see Pure Vanilla's face. Does that mean he can see his face too? Shadow Milk growled angrily, he buried his face in the blanket, still looking at his phone and typing.
Beast de Deceit: I hate you! *sends angry face emoji*
Pure Vanilla didn't answer right away. He looked at Shadow Milk with a soft, incredulous expression, as if he didn't take what Shadow Milk had just written in seriously. He began to write with a warm smile on his face.
Have the Faith: I know this is a lie.
Shadow Milk's cheeks heated up for the thousandth time in this conversation. He hated how Pure Vanilla just had the nerve to contradict him.
Before Shadow Milk could answer, something strange happened in the group. Someone else entered the group and Shadow Milk was confused that he saw White Lily in the group. What was she doing here? Wasn't this supposed to be a private group? Why can she join in here?
For Freedom: Hello!
Shadow Milk looked at White Lily, who had also appeared on the screen, with pure indignation and anger. She shouldn't have been here. This was supposed to be a private group between him and Pure Vanilla only.
Beast of Deceit: Who invited her?
Pure Vanilla seemed to be looking at him with sympathy for some reason.
Have the Faith: Be nice to her. She's my best friend.
Have the Faith: Hi White Lily! :D
For Freedom: Hi Pure Vanilla. Shadow Milk.
Shadow Milk just looks at his phone screen in disappointment and annoyance. This was stupid and his plan was ruined. And he doesn't know what else to do but show them how unhappy he is with this arrangement at this point.
Beast of Deceit: Uh!
Then he just notices someone else join this group. How many people are going to come in here and ruin his time with Pure Vanilla? People really don't know how to not interfere in other people's business yet?
The Knight of Raisin: I joined too! What's going on here?
Have the Faith: Black Raisin, I'm glad you joined!
The Knight of Raisin: *sends thumbs up emoji*
Shadow Milk stared blankly at the message. This was ridiculous and clearly not what he expected. This wasn't what he wanted to happen. He was just blaming Pure Vanilla for ruining their moment. Okay, if Pure Vanilla wants to play THE game, who is he to not entertainment him?
Beast of Deceit: Uh, fine. If you can have your friends here, then I don't see any problem with inviting my loyal minions too!
Shadow Milk started searching Candy Apple and Black Sapphire's accounts to invite them to his group. If Pure Vanilla has the nerve to send his friends to their group, which was just for them, then he will do the same.
He looked back at the group chat to see that Pure Vanilla had sent a message that was addressed to him specifically.
Have the Faith: Shadow Milk, we are all friends here.
Shadow Milk rolled his eyes reading this. Ignoring to take a look at what they were still writing among themselves there. However, before he could reply, his children - his loyal minions accepted the invitation and joined the group.
Cute Candy Apple: Hello everyone! Master Shadow Milk invited me!
Have the Faith: Hello, Candy Apple!
Cute Candy Apple: Don't 'hello' me. I still don't trust you, Pure Vanilla!
Have the Faith: I guess that's fair...
The Host Radio: Did someone call me?
Shadow Milk grins happily to see his minions on screen and in chat. At least he felt like he had more control over the situation now.
Beast of Deceit: Well, now I'm happy with this group chat.
Have the Faith: I'm glad you're happy, Shadow Milk. Any friend of yours should be welcome here.
Have the Faith: *sends thumbs up emoji*
Shadow Milk growls in annoyance as he blushes at how acceptable Pure Vanilla is. He's starting to wonder if he's doing this on purpose to piss him off now.
Beast of Deceit: Shut up. I still hate you.
Have the Faith: I know it's not true, just saying that.
Beast of Deceit: Yes, I really hate you!
The Knight of Raisin: No, you're not serious and I'm sick of all this dramatics lies.
Shadow Milk was stunned to read this. That sounded ridiculous and stupid what she said. He looked at the other side of the screen, looking at Black Raisin. She looked at him perfectly serious, and she looked at him with such intensity, it looked like she could pierce his soul.
For Freedom: I agree, Shadow Milk is not being honest about this.
Cute Candy Apple: Don't you dare disagree with Master Shadow Milk's lies!
The Host Radio: Heh...
Shadow Milk felt his anger growing especially at the fact that his loyal minions were not defending him and agreed that he was not being honest with his words.
Beast of Deceit: Curse you all! I HATE YOU ALL!
Shadow Milk closed the app and in the next second threw the phone to the other side of the room, hitting a wall and landing on the floor. Magically, the phone didn't break, at worst, the screen was just a little cracked and would need repair anyway.
Shadow Milk curled up in bed. He brought his feet close to his face. Sitting on the bed for a few moments, thinking about how everything had gone wrong and how angry he was at that moment. He heard a sound coming from his phone that he had just received some notifications, but Shadow Milk ignored them for now.
After half an hour, crying into the pillow, like a very 'unemotional' Cookie that Shadow Milk is. Finally, he wiped his face and made sure he looked clean before going and picking up his phone from the floor. He checked his phone and had a few messages from his minions. Both of them were worried about him. Finally he opened the chat to talk to Black Sapphire.
The Host Radio: Master Shadow Milk, what happened?
Beast of Deceit: You two were supposed to help me.
The Host Radio: What were we supposed to do?
Shadow Milk rolled his eyes in irritation before answering.
Beast of Deceit: It doesn't matter. This app is stupid anyway. This group was supposed to be private between me and that idiot sunshine.
Beast of Deceit: But that turned out to be total bullshit. 0 stars for this app!
On the screen, Black Sapphire stares at Shadow Milk. He starts typing.
The Host Radio: Oh.. I'm sorry to explain this to you, Master Shadow Milk.
The Host Radio: The group you created wasn't private at all. A private chat looks like this.
Shadow Milk stared at the message Black Sapphire had just sent. He closed the chat to end the conversation. He didn't even realize he had done that, he was so stunned, his body was on autopilot. The next moment he found himself on the floor, next to the bed. He felt his legs go limp, like he couldn't hold his body at all if he stood up then.
Shadow Milk realized the mistake he had made. He should have just sent a message to Pure Vanilla, not created a group chat. He felt so humiliated, so pathetic, so stupid for his own mistake, for his ignorance of how this application works. Shadow Milk took a pillow and buried his face in it, wishing the world would just swallow him up and make him no longer exist. He wanted his existence to be erased from the face of the world.
Maybe he could run away to another continent and change his identity? Or he could try to somehow contact TimeKepper and let him go to a timeline where he doesn't exist. So that way no one will know about his existence anymore. He will be a new cookie.
The pillow that hid his face was already getting wet from Shadow Milk's tears, but he just kept holding the pillow close to him.
Shadow Milk felt his phone vibrate as he received a new message. He wiped his eyes, pretending he hadn't cried at all, before he saw who had written to him. He swallowed hard when he saw that he had received messages from Pure Vanilla, but not from the group he had created. This was a message on a chat, a private chat this time thankfully.
He ignored the fact that Pure Vanilla could see his current state. He didn't really care anymore. His eyes just look straight to reading what he had written to him.
Have the Faith: Shadow Milk? Black Sapphire explained what your intention was. I'm sorry, I got it all wrong.
Have the Faith: Can I come over to your place? We can cuddle and I can teach you how to use CookieChat.
Shadow Milk didn't know how to reply. He stared at the message, his eyes blank. He still ignored looking at the other side of the screen to see Pure Vanilla's expression. His attention was on the text and what to reply to him. He wrote his message, which was to tell him to shut up, but deleted it after he wrote that. He didn't really want to push Pure Vanilla away, but he also didn't want him to know how much this affected him.
He won't admit it.
He wants his Pure Vanilla here.
Finally, Pure Vanilla didn't wait for a response from Shadow Milk anymore.
Have the Faith: I'm coming over now.
