Chapter Text
She started to panic as she got up and took in her surroundings, and realized where she was. "Fuck!" She yelled. "Mom’s gonna kill me. Who am I kidding? Dad’s gonna be the one to do it, then bring me back and have Mom kill me again." She says to herself, just as she's about to head to her grandpa's house, she hears twigs snap. She turned around, ready to attack, but froze as she took in the woman before her.
"Are you lost, sweetheart?" The woman said.
Her eyes widened, "I, I uh, yes. I'm going to head home now. I'm sorry."
"That's alright, come with me. I can take you to your house."
Tally shakes her head. She does not need to interact with anyone else. "That's no problem, ma'am, really, I can walk from here."
The woman's face changed. "My apologies," She shifted her eyes, they bled red. "I wasn't asking; you're coming with me willingly, or I will force you."
As Tally’s eyes changed, she watched the woman frown.
Her gaze softened. "Whatever you've done, sweetie, we can help."
She exhaled, she knew she wasn’t going to let her leave. "Ok," She whispered.
They walked in silence until they got to the house.
"Do your parents know where you are? Would you like me to call them?" She asked.
She shook her head, "No, they're on vacation. I'm staying with my grandpa, but he's not home right now, he's working." Which technically wasn't a lie.
She just hummed. "Peter?" She said as they walked into the house.
Tally took it all in, she couldn't believe she was here. She smiled as she looked at all the pictures in the living room. She could tell now why her uncle had insisted on working on their house himself.
"Yes, Talia?" He answered.
Tally stiffened. She looked up and stared at him. Her Dad had told her that there's no reason to be scared of Peter, he was just a man who had lost everything.
Peter and she stared at one another, and a sort of understanding crossed between them.
"Are the kids home yet?" Talia asked.
He turned to his sister. "I was just about to get," He was cut off as the kids came rushing into the house.
"Mom?" Laura asked.
"Mom!" Derek yelled as he stumbled into Laura.
And lastly, the person she knew she was bound to see.
"How did you get here? Peter was supposed to pick you up," Talia asked.
Derek's face brightened. "Lo felt something through the pack bonds. I got called up to the office, and she told me we needed to get home, so then we went to pick up Cora."
Talia nodded. That sounded reasonable until she realized something. "Why did you have to pick Cora up? Was she not in school with you?" She said as she narrowed her eyes.
"I think we all know where our dear Cora was," Peter said as he chuckles.
"Shut up, Uncle Peter!" Cora growled as she was about to lunge at him.
"Cora Elizabeth Hale." Talia chastised her daughter. "Go to your room, all of you. We will talk about this later."
"Yes, mom." They all said in unison as they marched upstairs.
"Now will you tell me the truth, or are you going to continue to lie?" Talia said.
Tally looked up and faced them. "Can I trust you?"
Talia immediately answered. "Of course, we will."
Tally shook her head. "Not you," She turned to face the man. "Can I trust you?"
Peter froze. He had no idea who this child was, but something about the way she looked at him in this moment tugged at his heart. "Yes. One hundred percent, darling." He answered truthfully.
Tally nods. "Ok, can we go somewhere private, where no one can listen?"
Talia nodded. "My office."
Once they're in her office, Tally sits in the chair in front of her desk, waiting for them.
"So you lied about your parents being on vacation? Are you running away from them? Do they hurt you?"
Tally shook her head. "What?! No! I have the best parents in the world." She assured them. "I, my name is Tal," Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
Laura poked her head into the office. "Mom, the Sheriff wants to talk to you, says it's important."
Tally groaned. Not now.
"Thank you, sweetie. Go back upstairs,"
"But," Laura protested.
"This instant, Laura."
Laura stomped away.
"Mrs. Hale," The Sheriff started.
"Noah, please, our children are friends."
He chuckled as he nodded. "Sorry, right. Talia, can we speak in private?"
"Of course, please come in," She stepped aside.
Before he could, though, a girl similar to the one he had in his car rushed past him.
"Tally?!?" She yelled. "Oh my god, I've been looking all over for you,"
"You fuckin idiot! I told you not to follow me!" Tally growled at her sister.
She snorted. "You really expected me to just wait around and get in trouble with Mom and Dad?"
She leaned in as she whispered the next part. "This is serious, Laurie. We have to get home, and I can't believe you went looking for grandpa!"
"Like you're anything better! You're with Grandma!" She then whispered in her ear. "And mom!"
Tally raised an eyebrow at her sister as if stating the obvious that Laurie was also with her dad.
Someone behind them cleared their throat.
"Can someone explain what is going on here?"
Both Tally and Laurie looked up. Laurie's eyes widened as she made eye contact with a man that she hadn’t realized was there.
"Uncle Peter!" She squealed as she wrapped her arms around him. "You're here," She said as she pulled away. "And so young! Holy shit."
"Laura!" Tally yelled.
"I believe we should all head to my office." Talia spoke. She definitely needed to get to the bottom of this.
The five of them walked back into the house towards Talia's office. Once they were in there, they sat in silence.
Peter exhaled. "Girls, please explain how you are here and how you know us."
"We’re your grandkids!" Laurie blurted out. "Sorry, not you, Uncle Peter." She then looked over to the other two adults in the room. "We're your grandkids."
"I beg your pardon?" Noah said.
"I'm sorry, Talia!" Laurie yelled.
"Talia?" Talia’s eyes widened.
Both girls turned to look at their grandmother.
"Talia Stilinski-Hale." Tally answered softly. She exhaled, trying to calm herself. "We're from the future. We’re not here for any bad reason, honestly, I just wanted to know what went wrong, if Dad was right, or if I could fix things." She rambled.
Peter crouched down, "Talia, darling, breathe." He motioned for her to follow his own breathing.
"Why, I mean, how?" Noah said. "This isn’t possible, I mean, Stiles is only 15, there’s no way he and Cora,"
Talia ignored his question and asked the one she truly wanted the answer to. "Why would my daughter and your son name their children after my other daughter and me?"
"Because you’re all dead!" Laurie yelled. She brought her knees into herself and whispered.
Tally looked over to her sister, "It’s okay." She then looked at Peter, "Can you take her out to the preserve? Please."
Peter nods. "Come here, sweetheart, let’s take a walk. Maybe tell me about myself."
Tally waited until they'd left to continue. "I love her to death, but she can be very blunt in the worst moments."
Noah chuckled, "I know someone like that."
Tally smiled softly, "Dad."
Noah smiled down at her, "You look like him, hell, if anything, you look like my Claudia."
"Must be why I’m his favorite." She said with a laugh.
"Why are you here, sweetie?" Talia asked.
"I, I lost someone." Tally started, "They were- she was everything to me." She felt the tears run down her cheeks. "For months, I had been an asshole to everyone, Mom, Dad, Uncle Peter, Uncle Derek, the whole pack." She took a deep breath in. "Mom sat me down one day and told me that if I wanted to become," She then looked at her grandmother. "Spoiler, Laura doesn’t want to be Alpha. Mom deserves it anyway. She’s a great fucken leader. Anyway, she said that if I wanted to be Alpha one day, I needed to learn that there are things we can’t change. "Things are already set in motion, baby." She said. She then told me a story about when she was younger, and that’s when it all clicked. She was talking about me, even if she didn’t say it."
"So you’re here to what? Make sure nothing happens to your partner?" Noah asked.
"And to make sure no more of us die," Tally said as she stared at both of them.
"Who?" Talia whispered.
"Only Mom, Uncle Peter, and Uncle Derek are alive," Tally answered. "You all died in the fire that Kate Argent set."
"Kate? Chris’s sister?" Talia said in a shocked tone.
Tally nodded. And started to tell her grandmother about how they all died.

"Can you hear anything, Lo?" Derek asked.
"No. They all went to Mom’s office. Uncle Peter took the other one to the preserve, though. Wanna go check what that’s about?"
"We should just stay here, we’re going to get in more trouble with Mom if we don’t," Cora said from her bed.
"Yeah, ok, rule follower." Laura snorted, "C’mon, Der-bear, let’s go see where Uncle Peter is."
Derek just shrugs and gets up to follow his older sister.
Cora continued to sit on her bed; she felt her chest tighten. She had been feeling it ever since she woke up. No one else had said anything, so she just assumed it would go away. But it got stronger when she got home, and that girl was there, she looked so familiar, but she couldn’t remember ever meeting her.
“Cora!” She heard her mom say.
"Yeah?"
"Come down, sweetie."
She raced down the stairs, and she almost tripped on her own feet as she came down. Not only was there one stranger in her home, but two. And this one looked eerily like her.
"This young lady, along with the other one, will be staying with us for a few weeks."
"Why?" Cora said with a frown.
Talia turned towards her daughter. "Because they have nowhere to go for the moment."
Cora looked at them, they looked familiar, but she couldn't think of who at the moment. She also couldn't smell them, which really bothered her.
Peter came in, dragging his niece and nephew.
"You found them," Talia stated.
"They started following us about 15 minutes into our walk. You should’ve seen her, Talia. She moves with such ease. I’ve never seen anyone take down two born wolves that quickly."
"We’re born wolves too, just with a little extra spark," Laurie said with a smirk, winking at her sister.
"Laurie!" Tally shrieked.
Peter smiled as he looked over at his sister. "Let me show you to your room,"
Laurie frowned, "But I want to stay with Da"
Noah cleared his throat. "She can stay with me, if that's alright with you, kiddo?" He said as he looked over at Tally.
She thought about it, they really shouldn't be separated. But then remembered her Mom's words. And she could tell that her sister would prefer being there than here. "Yeah, I'm ok with that."
"That's settled then," Talia said. "Sweetie, can you show her to the guest room?"
Laura perked up, "Come with me."
"You two go wash up for dinner," Talia told Derek and Cora.
They huffed but went on their way.
Talia then turned to her granddaughter. "Are you sure you don't want to stay here, sweetie?"
Laurie looked over at her grandma. "Yeah, I wanna stay with Grandpa and Dad. I'll stop by when he's at school, though, promise."
"Okay, just be careful around your dad, okay?"
"Promise, Grandma." Laurie went in for a hug, she inhaled her scent.
Talia smiled and scented her. "Go."
Laurie pulled away and smiled up at her. "Bye, Uncle Peter!"
Peter smiled, "Bye, darling."
⋆。˚☽˚。⋆
Talia
Good morning. If you're free right now, would you be able to stop by? There are some things we need to discuss.
Noah
I just got off, but I've got no problem dropping by.
Talia
I'd say get some rest, but it is important. If you could bring our granddaughter as well.
Noah
Got it.
⋆。˚☽˚。⋆
"Wait, so your dad just said she's staying with you guys for a few weeks?"
Stiles turned his baby off, "Yeah, man, said he'd explain later. But I don't know, there's something weird about her."
He shrugged, "Is she hot?"
Stiles' face pinched. "Dude! I mean, she's pretty, she reminds me of my mom, honestly."
"Got a thing for MILFS Stilinski?" They heard from behind.
Both he and Isaac freeze.
"You and Lahey are gonna take turns to see which one gets to fuck her?" He sneered.
"It's none of your business, jackass," Stiles retorted.
He scoffed and walked past them. Lydia followed behind him.
"I'm happy you finally got over her, I mean, all she does is just think she's better than everyone."
"I never really had a thing for her, it was just when my mom died, and Cora was gone," He answered in a somber tone. "But now she's back, all is right in the world."
Isaac smirked, "How you bagged the hottest chick in school is beyond me."
Stiles smirked back, "It's my charm, you asshole."
"Who's charm?" Cora said as she walked up to them. "Hey, Isaac," She said as she went to hug him, then walked towards her boyfriend, "Hi, honey," she whispered against his lips.
Stiles couldn't help but blush, it had been one of the newest pet names she had started to call him. "Hi," He answered.
Isaac rolled his eyes. "You two are just as gross as Erica and Boyd are." He said as he walked ahead of them.
"I don't shove my tongue down Stiles' throat," Cora said, glaring at the back of his head.
He chuckled, "No, but you scent him every chance you get, Cora. I'm not a wolf, yet I notice how much you cling to him."
Cora growled. "No, I don't."
Stiles then pulled her towards him. "Ignore him, he's just angry about Jackass."
Isaac ended up leaving them now, he didn't want to hear Stiles talk about Jackson.
Cora watched him walk away. "What happened now?"
"We were talking about the girl Dad brought home. He asked if she was hot. I told him she was pretty, but she reminded me of my mom a little, it's creepy. Jackson heard us and said if we were into MILFS,"
"Are you?" Cora asked with a raised brow.
"I'm older than you by three, no six months!" He exclaimed as they made their way to their lockers. "If anything, you'd be into DILFS," He said with a smirk.
She blushed as she rolled her eyes. "Yeah, whatever. I'll see you in third period." She kissed his cheek, hoping he wouldn't notice.
"Hey," He grabbed her by the wrist. He looked around, and there weren't that many students around. "You know it doesn't bother me, right?" He said to her.
Cora's frowned. "Stiles, it's okay."
"I love when you scent me." He whispered against her lips, and then buried his face in he neck. He knew it was too much, especially for them, but he needed her to know that he wanted this, wanted her. "I know it's different for me as a human, but fuck Cora, I swear I can feel my body light up when you do it." He pulled her body against his.
"It's getting late, we're gonna," She said in an airy tone.
Stiles took it as a sign to do it. He licked his lips, then started to kiss between the curve where her neck meets her shoulder. He felt her melt against him. He knew he shouldn't do this, but fuck right now, he didn't care.
Cora caressed the nape of his neck, then buried her hand in his hair. "Stiles," Cora whispered. "Please,"
"Wanna ditch?" He asked as he pulled away.
Cora wanted to say yes, but she was interrupted.
"Stilinski! Hale! Principal's office now!" Coach Finstock yelled.
They pulled apart.
Stiles hung his head in shame. "Dad's gonna kill me."
Cora snorted. "Yeah, Mom's gonna bury me."
They sat outside the Principal's office, waiting for their demise.
⋆。˚☽˚。⋆
Derek's ears perked up as he heard not only the sheriff's car pull up but his mother's car too.
Derek
Cora and Stiles are in big trouble.
Lo
Yep, just heard them pull up.
Derek
What do you think happened?
Lo
Don't know, little brother. We'll find out when we get home.
"Mister Hale."
Derek looked up and saw his French teacher was by his desk.
"Your mother is here for you. You're going home for the day."
Derek stared at her, dumbfounded. "Oh, okay." He got up and grabbed his backpack.
"Be sure to do the reading for today."
"Yes, Miss Silver." Derek was glad to be out of this class, if he's honest. He was met halfway by Laura and Allison.
"I'll talk to you later, Allie." He heard his sister say.
"And I'll talk to my dad more about you know what." She whispered as she hugged her. "Bye, Derek," She says as she waves goodbye to them and walks back into her classroom.
"What was that about?"
"I told her to ask her Dad about him, knowing that his sister is here."
"Sister?" Derek said.
"Yeah, your new French teacher."
"Miss Silver?" Derek said as his eyes widened.
"Yup, come on, little brother, let's see why we're going home."
They both walked in and were greeted by not only their mother but the Sheriff and Stiles.
"Hi sweeties," Their mom greeted. "You two have all of your things?"
They both nodded their heads.
"Let's go home then." She turned to the Sheriff. "Noah, I'm sure you can find your way to our house?"
"Will do, Talia," He answered. "Come on, you delinquent."
Stiles sighed as he rolled his eyes. "Dad, I said I was sorry,"
"I don't want to hear it."
"Come on, delinquent number two," Talia said as she walked out.
Cora groaned. "Mom! I already said it wasn't my fault. If Isaac hadn't,"
"Don't you dare blame that poor boy."
"Don't you dare blame that poor boy." Cora copied her mom.
"You're just adding more to your punishment."
Derek snickered. "Mom, why are we going home?" He then asked.
"We have some things we need to discuss."
"I have something I have to tell you, too." Laura chimed in.
"Wait until we get to the house, then," Talia said, "Your phone, young lady." She said just as they made it to the car.
"But Mom!"
"Enough! ¡Ya me tienes HARTA!"
They all froze.
"Mom, you," Derek said.
"Spoke in Spanish," Laura continued.
"You haven't spoken Spanish since Dad," Cora finished.
Talia didn't answer. She waited for them to get in the car.
The drive to the house was silent.
"What are they doing here?" Derek said as he got out of the car
"Why didn't you let me know you were coming?" Laura asked.
"I didn't know, Dad came to get me like ten minutes after." Allison shrugged as she turned to address Derek. "Hi Derek," She said softly.
"Allison," Derek responded, nodding.
Chris greeted Talia. "Alpha Hale,"
"Mister Argent. Thank you for joining us. Can we all head inside while we wait for my brother and our other guest to arrive?"
"Lead the way,"
From behind them, they could both feel their kids watching them.
⋆。˚☽˚。⋆
"Be honest with me," Tally starts, "Do you think it's a good idea for us to tell them? I mean, we're already messing with time by just being here."
"Talia, sweetheart. You told us that my niece specifically said that things are already in motion."
"Ugh, you're right, but how do we know if we're doing the right thing?"
"How do the kids say it? 'We go with the flow,' Right?"
Tally chuckled. "Yes, Uncle Peter."
They continued to walk towards the house.
"I believe everyone is waiting for us. Come on, darling. Your other half is getting antsy."
"Tally!" Laurie yelps. "Finally, I have been DYING. C'mon, we gotta explain everything to everyone." She then leans in to whisper in her ear. "Mom and Dad are in BIG trouble. Grandma took her phone away, and Grandpa took Dad's crime board, his laptop, and all his books. He literally looks like someone died. He's so dramatic."
Tally chuckled, "Oh god, it's literally 1 PM."
The twins walked in, and everyone in the living room instantly ended their conversations.
"And these young ladies?" Chris asked.
"They are," Talia started, "Our family members."
"Did Peter have kids that we didn't know of?" Chris said with a chuckle.
"Believe me, Peter's kids wouldn't be as sweet as these girls."
"Don't underestimate them, Talia," Peter said.
"She looks a little bit like you, Cora, don't you think?" Allison chimed in.
Cora's head snapped. She hadn't seen it yesterday, but Allison was right. Although they were twins, both girls were vastly different. Laurie's hair was around the same length as hers, but then her eyes froze as she looked at her face. She recognized it immediately. She had seen many pictures of Stiles' mother to know this girl was practically the spitting image of her. Stiles was right, she did, in fact, look like his mom. She then turned to look at the other one, and Cora saw it, it was the same face she made when she wanted to distance herself from the situation.
"Mom," She started, "Are these,"
"Not now, sweetie, we'll get to that later." Talia's voice softened. "Girls, where would you like to start?"
Laurie started to fidget with her necklace. She didn't know what she could and could not say.
"You can trust us, we're all family here. We won't tell anyone about you guys if you need protection." Stiles said.
Laurie's eyes snapped to his.
Tally saw her sister's turmoil. "Uh, well, we should start by saying that we know that your sister is in town. I'm pretty sure she's been here for about a month already. Your father should be on your doorstep within the next few days. Oh, and she's planning on killing all of us," Tally paused. "I mean the Hale family, on orders from your father."
"Kate?" Chris asked. "She would've told me if she was stopping by."
"It's true," Laura said. "I had just confirmed it today with Allison."
Chris' head snapped to his daughter.
"I was going to tell you after this!" She exclaimed.
"But you haven't done anything wrong." Chris continued.
Talia chuckled at that. "Oh, please, Christopher. You know how your sister is, or have you forgotten?"
Chris stiffened.
Talia stared at the man, daring him to look at her. Unbeknownst to everyone, except maybe Noah and Peter. They shared a sad and dark history.
Tally continued. "We're not only here to prevent that, but I came here because," She hated this part. "Because I lost someone very important to me." From the corner of her eye, she could see her parents drifting towards each other. "It was affecting me a lot. I didn't let my parents help, I just wanted it to stop. I told them they didn't understand. They hadn't lost someone they loved like I did." She wiped the tears away. "My mom told me that, well, it sounds like your typical bullshit, everything happens for a reason quote. But I had no idea how true her words were. Later that day, my dad gave me a spell. He said that if I wanted to change things, I could. If I truly felt like I couldn't be who I was before," She could see her so clearly now, her Rory. "Before what happened. So I did it, without any hesitation." She saw her dad nod, as if saying it's something he'd do if he ever lost her mom. She saw her mom's hand grip his. "And now we're here. Well, actually, it was only supposed to be me, but this twerp was in the basement when I did the ritual."
"Hey! I already told you, I wasn't going to stay there to get into trouble. I could practically hear Mom say, 'Laurie, mija, how could you let this happen?' As if I had any control over you!" Laurie exclaimed.
"Wait, Laurie?" Laura asked. They didn't get a chance to ask the girls their names yesterday.
"Fuck Tally." She smacked her forehead with her palm.
"Tally?" Chris asked. "You said they're family, who exactly are these girls, Talia?"
Talia just ignored him, "Girls, go on. Tell them,"
Tally inhaled and exhaled. "Our names are Talia and Laura Stilinski-Hale. We're 16 years old, we have a little brother, his name is Mateo, after,"
"Dad," All three Hale siblings whispered.
"Yeah, grandpa." Tally nods.
"I was right, you're ours," Cora started.
Stiles chuckled. "No, no way." He said as he started to pace around the living room.
"Dad," Laurie started.
"DAD!" He exclaimed at his own father.
"Kiddo, look at her, look at both of them, tell me you don't see it." His dad said.
And Stiles did, he looked at both girls. He saw the resemblance in them from both Cora and him. "But I would never send my kid away, I, I mean, am I really such a shitty dad that I can't help my own daughter?"
Tally then walked up to him. Although she was told all her life that she resembled her mom, she knew and saw so much of herself in her dad. "Dad,"
Stiles looked up at her, his breath hitched. She had his eyes. Not only in color but in sadness.
"It's like I told grandma, you two are the best parents in the world. You both raised us to be good, honest people." Tally felt her eyes start to water. "This was just something neither of you could help with. I think you knew this was your last chance at," She felt him wipe her tears away.
The words went unsaid. Stiles understood.
Then, to everyone's surprise, he pulled her into a hug. "Shh, fuck. I'm so sorry you had to go through that."
"I know, Dad." Tally buried her face in his neck. "I know, I'm sorry that I couldn't get better, that I pushed you away,"
"Talia," She heard from her left. She then lifted her head to be met by her grandpa. "If you're anything like my kid here, you know how hard it is to go through these things. I trust that my son did everything he could to help you, because it's what I've done with him. I bet he knows you didn't mean anything that you said or did after it happened. Trust me, kiddo, he knows, and he loves you. He just didn't want to lose his little girl."
Tally nods. She lets them wrap their arms around her.
After what feels like forever, they finally pull apart.
"Not to be that person, but how do we know they're telling the truth?" Chris asks.
Laurie, who up until now has stayed quiet, finally spoke because if she was honest, she didn't like the man very much, neither now nor in the future. "Want more proof, old man? Let's see, how about the fact that we're literally named after our DEAD grandmother and DEAD aunt? Who we NEVER met until now. Or how your psychotic sister killed our entire family, only leaving Uncle Peter, Uncle Derek, and Aunt Laura alive? My mom escaped but didn't even know her brother and sister were alive! No wait, let me tell you how Uncle Peter KILLS Aunt Laura because she leaves with Uncle Derek to fucking New York and leaves him here in butt fuck Beacon Hills. Short story on that, he kills her to get revenge on those who killed our entire family!" She yells that last part. "No, no, wait, this will definitely make you believe me." She said with a small chuckle. "You and Grandma used to date. No one knew about it except Uncle Peter and Grandpa Noah, because they both caught you two but never said anything. You ended things because your dad pushed you to get married to Victoria, and Grandma was getting pressured on her side to get married to Grandpa Mateo. But she told him that she loved someone else. AND I know why you really ended things, your bitch sister found out. She threatened not only to kill Grandma Talia but to make you watch too. So you ended it the next day."
"Is that true, Dad?" Allison asked.
"Is it?" Talia asked, staring at the man.
Chris's eyes snapped to hers. "Tally," he whispered.
Talia's eyes widened. "No, no." She whispered as she walked out of her home.
Nobody moved.
"What are you waiting for, Argent? Go after my sister," Peter said.
So Chris did.
