"You can't be serious?." Alec says while looking at everyone else. "You are ok." Alec shrugs.
The door opens to see the Clave boss. "You have a word?" Alec then becomes angry Magnus can tell.
"What is it?" Alec says turning around to face her. "I meant privately." Alec crosses his arms. "I know what you meant but that doesn't mean I'm gonna listen everyone is involved weather you like it or not." Alec's voice is cold.
"We'll gonna put chips in the downworlders to track them." Alec's Jaw clenched Jace and Isabelle comes running in. "You can't do that." Clary says.
"They're not animals." Jace says.
"I'm not allowing it." Alec says voice sharp and cold.
"It needs to-" "Fuck the rules it never done us any good you're just fucking terrified. We all are but unlike you I'm doing something about it. You trying to control all of us makes you no different then Valentine." Everyone is frozen they've never seen Alec this cold and pissed.
"Valentine wants kill-" "Yea all of us not just us shadowhunters but downworlders too we all need to work together. I kept secrets for you, I lied to my boyfriend and the rest of the downworlders for you my father threatened me to I wanted so many times to tell them but I was terrified what you'll do to me not just them." Everyone couldn't believe that Alec.
"We're always at war always fighting no breaks our whole lives. What have you done? Sit behind a desk thinking the laws will protect you believe it or not I did break rules you just don't know it no one does because its to protect my family the one you broke."
" Don't make it per-""Why?" Alec asks coldly sending chills in everyones spines.
" This is work. " Alec scoffs un crossing his arms and walks towards her." Our lives aren't yet we're on a death row but unless I do something about maybe we'd have more time. You almost de runed my sister, de runed my mother separated us. You wanted to kill Jace for who all we knew was being fucking tortured by his father and I couldn't feel him at all it terrified me I couldn't sleep so yea I almost died tracking him, Raj tried to make Magnus leave when he was the only one keeping me alive. Aledrate giving my sister yin fin who also couldn't handle rejection he wasn't ready being the head of the Institute is not free. We fight hard and fair. You offered Jace the position when he wasn't ready he even mentioned me. Its because I have a warlock boyfriend but hey I'm still talking to controlling myself. "
Everyone was pissed." That's the thing about me I'd do anything to protect the people I care about an love even if it means dying. Emotions cloud judgement but look at you guys. You guys are letting fear cloud you're judgement you think emotions are weakness but you're wrong."
She wanted to say something but he kept going." You know what keeps me alive and fighting? Not laws or rules but love. My friends and family love makes me stronger making me not give up when there was so many times I wanted because I'm fucking tired. I'm trying everything in my power to keep everyone safe an have a home to return to but the mighty Clave wants me to clean up your mess clean up your mistakes. Youre in Idris we're not you'll be safe there we aren't.Youre just protecting your own ass you think you made tough decisions no because here's the thing all you do is hide behind the laws meanwhile I don't I break the rules and accept the consequences. I'm not afraid of the Clave I'm afraid of letting Valentine win but if you do what you think will help your not you're just letting him win... They're not toys to use they may have demon blood but they're still part human just like the rest of us. We're all scared they don't trust you I don't either you keep lying to all of us and I'm sick of it. "Alec was way to pissed off. Jace put his hand on his parabati rune." Alec?"
"What's wrong?" Clary whispers to Jace." He's too angry and in pain and betrayed." The downworlders all looks at Jace.
"Do you still have it?" She asks in a cold voice but Alec didn't bugde." You wanna use it? Go ahead I've been punished enough to not feel it."She mentions the gaurd to pin Alec to the wall.
"Alec!" Everyone shouts. Alec shook his head. She lifts up his shirt. "It's faint you haven't been punished lately." She's uses her stele and activates the agony rune which Alec clenches his fists and jaw but stares at her no emotion showing.
Jace grips the table almost collapsing and gasps. "What it is?" Magnus asks. "Alec is being tortured.. with the Agony rune." Everyone's eyes widened and looks at Alec who's not reacting at all but sweating.
One of the Clave members tries to put the chip in Luke which Alec saw and snaps. He elbows the guards and his arrow and bow appears. "Any closer i won't hesitate to shoot." Luke turns around to the Clave member frozen.
"Go back to Idris and hide like you always do while we work an do our fucking job and fight for out lives and spend the time we might have left with our love ones. You belong there not here. I know one of your biggest secret and I'll tell everyone about it unless you don't ever come back and threatened my family again the downworlders are included on family if I ever so much hear that you touch any of them I will came to your office and hurt you I won't hesitate now leave all of you." Alec was pointing the arrow at her standing in front of everyone. She nods and mentions others to follow her.
He then puts his weapons away. He turns to see everyone staring at him shocked. "Alexander -" "Don't." Alec puts his hand up to stop Magnus from talking he the goes an lean on the wall.
He lifts his shirt to see a bruised and bloody chest. He looks at the ceiling sighing." They're doing experiments." Alec says." That they're secret."
Alec then looks at them to see guilt in them." You guys continue I'm gonna go make sure none of the Clave members are here." Alec says.
After Alec leaves. Jace collapses fell to the floor they all run to him." He's in a lot of pain and anger and.. betrayed why does he feel betrayed?"
Luke explains to them." Please tell me you guys weren't serious?" Isabelle asks. They were all silent so they took that as yea they were.
"Everything he's done was for you guys to be safe and protect you he even proved that and took punishment just for protecting you guys... wait how often did he get punished?" Clary looks at Jace and Isabelle. They both look down in shame and guilt.
"Guys?" Clary asks." We always snuck out and broke the rules but Alec always got punished for us I just didn't know how severe he always blocked me out."
Everyone was shocked they didn't realize how far Alec went to protect them." Max told me he got punished for breaking our family name." Isabelle said." It wasn't his fault though." Jace says confused." He took the blame for his whole family even when our parents lied to him and betrayed him. "Isabelle said.
The downworlders felt so guilty. Alec come back panting his weapons out." Magnus portal everyone out!" He held the door closed.
" Valentine's army is coming for you guys hurry get our go wherever you need to even if its out of New York Edom i don't care just go take my siblings with you." Everyone was scared and hesitate.
He draws a lock rune." Magnus please." He's holding Magnus in his arms." Go. "" Alec? "
Alec turns to Jace crying and Isabelle crying and Clary trying to hold her tears in. Alec brings them into the group hug." Stay close with them. " Alec says while hugging them.
" What about you?" Jace asks. They pull out the hug." I'm staying I have to fight them give you time and protect the Institute. You guys protect each other ok. "Jace was shaking his head no.
" Alec forget th-" Alec shakes his and holds Jace face softly smiling at him." Hey it'll be ok this is our home and I'm gonna fight for it ok." Jace pulls Alec into another tight hugs crying in Alec's shoulder.
Alec pats Jace head and pulls out the hug and nods at him. He walks to Isabelle." Big brother please... "Isabelle was crying hard Alec pulls her into a hug." I'll be ok trust me well alive to be more precise." Isabelle hits his shoulder blade making him chuckle.
Magnus opens the portal Alec nods at them." I'll come find you." Magnus nods. The doors bang open." GO! I love you!" Magnus tears roll down. Then leaves the portal dissapears.
