Chapter Text
The fall through the rift seemed endless, but Lilith made no sound. The moment Eden slammed shut above her, the primordial chaos of Hell crashed down on her with full force.
Lilith struck the cracked stone with force. A mortal would have been reduced to a bloody pulp, but the First Woman survived. Formed from molten clay, she carried within her the ancient power of raw matter, once stabilized by the twins. This power—equal to that of the rank-and-file angels of the Silver City—boiled in her veins, absorbing the impact. But her greatest treasure was something the Maker knew nothing about.
At the moment of her exile, as God's wrathful will fell upon her, the snow-white feather—Samael's secret gift—blazed, transforming into a blinding shield. It burned to ashes, absorbing Yahweh's deadly fury. But as the gift faded, its ashes dissolved within Lilith's body, leaving in her consciousness a spark of the Primordial Light and the unbridled power of cosmic magic.
Around her, hundreds of invisible monsters roared in a deafening, maddening roar. Shadows were already gathering from the thick, crimson fog, saturated with the stench of ash and sulfur. Lilith slowly rose to her feet. Her long, thundercloud-like hair was tangled, but her eyes showed no fear of this terrifying realm. On the contrary, they blazed with crimson fire.
A swarm of shadows coalesced into hideous silhouettes. One after another, monsters burst from the crimson haze: multi-eyed, slithery-skinned beasts, spiky, faceless giants, and crawling, shrieking, frail creatures thirsting for blood. Sensing the scent of the exile's fresh flesh, they rushed forward in a single avalanche of fangs and claws.
Lilith, desperately instinctively, flailed her arms, trying to defend herself, bracing for a crushing blow. But instead of pain, something deep within her responded. The spark of Samael, dormant in the depths of her consciousness, flared in response to the threat. However, it was no longer pure. Faced with Yahweh's furious curse and fed by the raw, heavy power of earthly clay, the angelic light became distorted. It was reborn into something new—dark, deadly, and majestic.
The next second, a blinding wave of poisonous violet flame erupted from Lilith's pores, piercing the thick hellish fog with a deafening roar. The vanguard of monsters didn't even have time to scream; the alien magic instantly incinerated their flesh, turning them into charred ash. Those following behind froze in horror, blinded and scorched by the terrifying, invisible light. Whimpering and grunting, the beasts cowered desperately in the fog, clawing at the deepest crevices—as far away from the radiant woman as possible.

The flash died, leaving behind only charred, blackened stone and a ringing silence. Lilith slowly lowered her hands. She breathed heavily, looking at her palms, where tiny violet sparks still flickered. Her eyes reflected this new color. Yahweh thought he had cursed her, condemning her to eternal torment. He didn't know that his own angry will, merging with Samael's gift, had created something new. Lilith was genuinely shocked by this terrifying, twisted power, but her fear vanished. Now she had a weapon to defend herself.
Lilith was still staring at the fading violet sparks on her fingers when a barely audible hiss pierced the ringing silence of the desert. The sound was low and even, like the breath of a boiling geyser. A silhouette glided silently out of the thick crimson fog.
Lilith instinctively tensed, her palms flashing purple light again as she prepared to strike. But the stranger stopped at a safe distance, and the fog around him reluctantly cleared, revealing his strange, terrifying figure.
He had no legs; the lower half of his body dissolved into a swirling cloud of steam, floating gracefully above the cracked earth. But it was his torso that truly astounded. His upper body possessed flawless human contours, yet was perfectly divided in half, as if two different sculptors had carved the same man. His right side was composed of solid, monolithic ice, revealing the frozen pulse of a crystalline heart within. His left side glowed with a living, pulsating flame—warming but never scorching the flesh. Long gray hair, falling from his broad shoulders, swayed in the rising currents of heat.

Despite his terrifying build, his face remained strikingly intelligent and serene, untouched by the blind fury of the abyss. A third eye slowly opened in the center of his forehead—vertical and glowing with a soft azure light. With this triple gaze, he surveyed Lilith, studying her.
Looking at the smoking remains of the monsters, the spirit of ice and fire smiled faintly, expressing understanding. Just a moment ago, he had been ready to defend the exile himself, but now his eyes gleamed with calculation and deep respect.
"Child of Earth, marked by Heaven and cursed by the Creator..." His voice sounded simultaneously like the crackling of cracking ice and the roar of a forest fire, but it held a strange, ominous softness. "Welcome to the great junkyard of Yahweh."
Lilith didn't lower her hands, but the violet glow on her fingers softened slightly. She peered into his serene face, bisected by ice and flame. There was no menace in his posture, only an endless, ancient sorrow.
"Who are you?" Her voice, born of earthly flesh, rang out evenly, echoing off the rocky walls of the abyss. "You are nothing like those monsters."
The creature swayed gently in a cloud of steam. Its fiery half crackled softly, while its icy side became covered in a light mist, changing with its emotions.
"He created me long before the Silver City, my child," he replied, his voice echoing with bitter laughter. "Back when the Creator and his consort, Ashera, were just learning to create flesh from pure energy. I am their very first experiment. Their firstborn. They sought to forge the perfect vessel of Knowledge and Magic. A mature, flawless archangel."
He raised his hands—one translucent blue, the other a blazing orange. “But they lacked experience. They mixed too many primal forces, unable to hold them together in a single form. The elements shattered my body, plunging ice into an eternal war with fire, giving birth to this steam in place of legs. My creators looked upon what they had created… and shuddered in horror. They feared their Firstborn. They considered me a defect, a monster, a mistake. And they cast me into this cesspool of creation. They didn’t even give me a name.”
Lilith froze. A righteous fury welled within her—not at this spirit, but at the Creator, who so easily rejected those who did not meet his selfish standards of "perfection." He had done the same to her. She took a step forward, closing the distance between them. The violet magic on her palms finally faded, replaced by genuine compassion.
"The Creator is blind in its pursuit of perfection," Lilith said in a quiet but unwavering voice, looking directly into his azure third eye. "It sees monstrosity where true, primordial magic lies. You are not a mistake. You are the Archangel of Knowledge, and your power deserves a name. If you have none… I will give it to you."
The hovering spirit froze. For a moment, the fiery half of his face froze, and his icy eyes widened in disbelief. In millions of years, no one had ever offered him anything like this.
"Name me, First Woman," he breathed, the cloud of steam beneath him swirling with excitement. "Name me, and I swear: I will reveal all the secrets of this world's magic—secrets that Yahweh so carefully conceals from his playthings."
Lilith stared intently at the titan frozen before her. In his form, where the elemental war raged, she saw no monster—only a majestic, invincible force, bound by centuries of solitude.
"Your name is Glacius," Lilith said firmly, and the word echoed across the silent, parched desert. "Let your ice be a fortress for your mind, and your fire a weapon against those who betrayed you. From this day forward, the abyss will know you by that name."
At that very moment, the creature's azure third eye flared with a blinding, pure light. The icy half of its body became covered in frost, and the flame on its left shoulder shot up, turning a rich blue-orange. Glacius slowly pressed his frozen right hand to his chest, bowing his head in deep, reverent respect. A cloud of steam beneath its "feet" gently descended, bringing it closer to the rocky ground.
"Glacius..." he repeated quietly, absorbing the name. His voice no longer echoed with destructive chaos; instead, it held a focused, terrifying power. "The first word spoken to me with love and respect, not terror. Thank you, Lilith. I accept your gift."
He straightened, his serene face lit with icy determination. The third eye on his forehead focused on the First Woman's palms, where violet magic had pulsed just moments before.
"You brought a spark of cosmic Light to this cesspool, but the Creator defiled it with his curse," Glacius said, gracefully waving his hand. The crimson mist obediently dispersed, revealing a narrow path winding deeper into the rocky canyons. "This purple fire is unique. It is dangerous to you until you learn to control it. But I am the Archangel of Knowledge. I know how this galaxy works, and I will teach you to channel this wrath. Come here."
Lilith looked up to where the gates of Eden had closed forever behind thick crimson clouds. There was no longer any fear. Only a cold confidence remained, mirroring the ice of Glacius. She turned and resolutely followed her new mentor into the depths of Hell.
They made their way through winding, rocky canyons. The crimson fog of hell reluctantly parted before Glacius, as if afraid to touch his frozen shoulder. Finally, at the foot of a black cliff, the archangel stopped. He waved his hand almost imperceptibly—the space before them shimmered faintly, and the invisible curtain that had concealed the passage from the prying eyes and sharp snouts of prowling monsters dissipated. The entrance to a vast cavern swung open before Lilith.
The moment they crossed the threshold, the deafening roar of the abyss faded, giving way to the measured, soothing roar of falling water. Inside, the cave towered enormous, reaching high into the dark vault and deep into the heart of the cliff. Its crowning glory was a majestic waterfall, cascading from the shadows above. From it, a stream of jet-black, glittering water poured down, collecting into a deep, bottomless lake in the grotto's center.
Instead of torches, the cave was illuminated by wondrous flora. Along the lake's shores and stone walls, fiery flowers bloomed in abundance, brought by Glacius from the shores of the Lake of Fire in Hell. Their petals, like tongues of living, pulsating flame, cast soft amber and crimson waves across the stone, dispelling the primordial darkness.
Lilith looked up in amazement. The cave wasn't a wild, chaotic hollow; it resembled a subterranean castle, carved into the rock with impeccable precision. Dozens of stone staircases, bridges, and paths curved upward, leading to various tiers and countless chambers.
Faint sounds, rustlings, and cautious footsteps drifted from the upper tiers. From the twilight of distant chambers, several pairs of eyes focused on Lilith. There were others here too—those very same "defective" creations of Yahweh, whom Glacius had managed to track down over millions of years, save from the madness of the abyss, and find refuge in his home.
"This is my home, Lilith," Glacius said, turning smoothly as a cloud of steam touched the edge of the black lake. "A refuge for those the Maker has deemed unworthy of the light. Here, magic protects us from exposure. Here, you are safe. Choose any level, any spare room you wish. Rest. Your training will begin as soon as the fire in your veins subsides after the fall."
