Summary
Hurricane, Utah, was worlds different than St. Augustine, Florida. It was an unassuming little town with a humble population and just enough restaurants and entertainment venues to not be labeled 'bumfuck nowhere.' Though after everything that had happened in Florida, Julian was fully ready to welcome somewhere mundane. Hurricane High School wasn't crowded like his old school, the streets weren't packed with people, and the summer heat was tolerable. The only thing he truly missed was the ocean. The first week in, and everything was fine. Simple. Quiet.
Then, everything began to spiral out of his control. He felt like he was constantly one second away from falling apart. He couldn't stop it, no matter how hard he tried or pleaded. Looking back, he should have known better. The first step into the chaos was the moment he came face-to-face with the supposed 'bad boy' of Hurricane High, Michael Afton.
Moving to Hurricane was the biggest mistake of his life. Though after all of what he experienced, forever swimming in guilt and relief, he couldn't confidently tell you if he regretted it.

When you're trying to live up to the legacy of your parents, it probably helps to not have any secrets lurking inside you or cute girls in the picture that make you actually feel emotions of affection towards someone else and make you start to both question everything and start to go above and beyond in a way that no one, not even yourself, ever expected.
Apparently, fate and destiny have other ideas as upon starting his first year at Ever After High, Colton Winter suddenly finds himself having to be the one having to face down everyone else's villains. All because interacting with a certain girl that he can't bring himself to stay away from changes everything from what he knows about himself to how others see him and most importantly, where he falls in the destiny conflict.
As they say, fate is never written in stone and sometimes the ones with the greatest destinies are the ones who have the most chaotic times.
